  2. oh yeah forgot two things in my earlier rant, small note but the founding father were neither christen nor atheist they were masons. and also our country isn't based on biblical ideas its based on ideas from ancient greece and rome, and the french revolution specifically John locke
  3. ah replacing one kind of insanity with another isn't it a fresh breath of air, in all seriousness I think you give corperate America just a little too much influnce in politics Darkfinn but I do agree most of the big business are corrupt but saying the entire federal govt. is a sham is more than little bit of a hyperbolie don't you think.

  6. Ok I'm sorry if this post is kind of mean but I've got a head ach and reading all of the crap in this topic has only made it worse so here. First of all as others have pointed out liberals have jobs I myself just had to work an 8 hour shift at a job where my income is fucking taxed which yeah I'm not a fan of losing my hard earned money but do you here me bitching that some big bad goverrnment has robed poor little me with their evil taxation no because I know without taxes our country couldn't function and if that makes me a communist then you know what you can call me
  7. wow a new recored a video that is so dumb and obivous expolitation I couldn't even watch a minute into it. but seriously if you watch and buy into crap like that then there no hope for you and I lose a little more faith in the American population, don't listen crap and don't follow others blindly like sheep. do your research and make your own opinion based on the facts.
  8. I have gained this from philosophy: that I do without being commanded what others do only from fear of the law. -Aristotle

  9. its really funny how you don't even bother to respon to the other points I made in my post and only the very first one, probaby because you have no counter argument to thoose statements
  10. Green energy will definately take off you can be sure of that the question is wheter or not the people currently opposed to going green will be draged to an environmentaly friendly future kicking and screaming or wheter we as a society will band togather to make this transition less rough.
  11. ok then you not the lowest class the lowest class is the poor people living on the streets getting they're meals from the soup kitchen, maybe your lower class but I kind of doubt it with having enough money for 5 computors your probaby middle or upper class but lets say for the sake of argument you were the poorist class of Americans what do you think gets you your better life than the poor of other countries taxes. and while charity is definately good and something everyone should do but unlike taxes it doesn't trickle back down and recycle back around so in economic terms its no more helpful than hording all of your money in the bank.

  15. I agree with most of what you said though there are some points I noticed that were wrong, for one while your definately right when you say the average conservative is no more violent then any one else and they shouldn't be generalized as some evil organization but at the same time your kind of generalizing liberals aren't you, I mean I know a lot of democrats who simply disagree with the republican party but I've never meet one who thought they were evil or anything. also and maybe this is just me but I can sum up my problems with the conservative party in three issues: first, they think the economy can fuction without taxes and it can't, no one likes paying taxes but still the money has to come from somewhere and the government can't just make it appear like magic or else they'd create inflation, the most recent example is George W. Bush's tax cuts which are a major reason the economy is as bad as it is today. second, and I know not every conservative does this and liberals do this too, the slander campaigns, again the liberal party does this too but I see it more from the conservative end, take for example the recent issue of concraceptive inssurance, I won't go into wheter Obama was right or wrong here that is a whole other debate, the fact that the republican candidates would have the never to call this a war on faith is simply offense as this was never about faith it was about bussesness which is wholely seperate but they knew calling violation of the 1st admendment would swing more voters too their side and that kind of lazy campaigning just ticks me off. finally, I don't believe that always wanting the status quo is good much like how change isn't always good in this case both parties are in the wrong because they're needs to be a middle ground here. lastly although I fully agree religion and politics have no place togather, but I don't think anyone here brought up religion but I could be wrong or misunderstanding your meaning.

  19. I give up clearly you are too bitter and thick headed to convince if this is your honest opinion, I will say this much though to believe America is great or has the potential to be great is not unique to Regan every president has believed in it and to claim others wise for any president, like your claims about Obama, is just hatefull and spiteful and it shows just how little thought you put into your political decisions no president has ever planed to usurp personal freedom to my knowledge and if anything you want a president who was more into usurping personal freedoms look to Regan he came much closer than Obama but then again I doubt you'll even consider the possiblity that a republican could ever be worse than a democrat so I guess I'm just wasting my breath.
  20. Those who excel in virtue have the best right of all to rebel, but then they are of all men the least inclined to do so. -Aristotle

  21. Democracy... is a charming form of government, full of variety and disorder; and dispensing a sort of equality to equals and unequals alike. -Plato

  22. I did and its not a gramatical issue there is a real difference between a democracy and a democractic republic, the differnce being that a democracy is simply the idea of people controlling the government through equal voting. but a democratic republic, which is what we are, is the governmental state where the people elect public offical who represent them in a democractic process that is guided by a set of guide lines that well protect the rights of the people. so basically what your saying makes no sense unless your trying to say that we no longer get to vote for the people in government and to say that the democractic portion of our government is fading is simply wrong because that would mean or to be even clearer here is the definitions of democracy from dictionary.com 1. government by the people; a form of government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised directly by them or by their elected agents under a free electoral system. 2. a state having such a form of government: The United States and Canada are democracies. 3. a state of society characterized by formal equality of rights and privileges. 4. political or social equality; democratic spirit. 5. the common people of a community as distinguished from any privileged class; the common people with respect to their political power. now the first definition simply doesn't appy to america because people don't have supreme power we have the power to choose who to give supreme power to but not ourselfs, this is more of a direct democracy such as Athens. the second and fifth don't aply to this disscussion. the third one proves you statement wrong because the remove of this prop gave the homesexual equal, or closer to equal, rights and priviledges so the democracy in this sense is actually stronger than before. the fourth diffition is the same as the first so again your statement is debunked. So I'll be far I should have clarrifyed when I correct your use of the word democratic I assume you used in the 1st definitions sense, i.e. that the peoples power is being taken away, which again is wrong because we never had that power for some vary good reasons not the least of which being that the founding fathers realised that it would be impossible for every american to be as informed as he/she needed to be to function in a direct democracy.
  23. two things one where in the world aside from dictatorships, and two we're in the 21st century unless reffering to some time between 1900-1999 then can you be more specific because a lot happened in that century. 1. we're a democratic republic not just a democracy theres a big differnce. two law aren't just overruled its rather difficult to overturn a law, state or federal, and even this overruling of prop 8 is no true end, not until it reachs the supreme court and if it is judged unconstitutional there thats the end of it, but even the supreme court can have its power checked by either the legislative or executive branchs so the government is not nearly as black and white as you seem to think it is. and while your right you can't force some to be something they are not but in the same way murder isn't legal just because it someones a murder they won't stop just because its against the law I'd rather people be forced to at least act tolerant towards others even if they aren't really tolerant.
