  1. Act normal. Don't "draw attention" to the fact your wearing one, just treat it like an every piece of clothing and you'll do fine.
  2. I live just across the border in Canada, and frequent WNY to visit family.
  3. No problem. I know a lot of people on here feel "scared" to talk to any one at a med store. But You get a lot if you do.
  4. Honestly I always just go into the stores I find and ask questions about the products and then ask if they have samples .. I've walked out of stores with over 20 diapers for free.
  5. No they are not! Also the Velcro will rip you a new one...
  6. I did pretty much the same thing, worked out great for me!! She even participates! *my dream girl*
  7. You gotta tell her the truth.. I think you know that deep inside.. it's the only way.
  8. CDTMS - Cheers, I hope it all goes well for you. I'll be looking forward to trying some samples and maybe trying a case out in the later.
  9. Me, I like pull-ups (More so the Abena - Tranquility if I must) but then everyone's deal is different. I like them because they work for me. I have a leaky bottom some days, on these days they are great, I can wear them and they protect my clothing, they are discreet and I can easily pull them down for bathroom use. I don't need to flood or even use them for that (except I pee when I laugh, but not much). So for me they are great!
  10. Sorry for the late reply, but yes there were very friendly in there and helped me with everything. I did ask about Abena products but she told me she don't order them in because not much call for them. (Although she said one guy comes in and orders a case now and then - I wondered if it was anyone from here?) As for the Moli's yeah, I tried one on soon as I got home, game my wife one too. They are great, nice light crinkle and all the absorbency I can comfortably throw at them. Tena Ultra's are what I use as well if I am starting to run low on my good stuff and need to re-order.
  11. I had a very interesting day to day. I hit up 4 different Medical supply stores on my way to that Glen Erin Pharmacy. I talked to pretty much all the attendants at each store for almost 20min each. I had some very good chats about Incon etc, I also walked away today with over 30 samples from these places!! Plus there is one store that had never heard of Abena, so I grabbed up 1 each of my Flex, Form and Wing and took them in. I gave demos and talked about the product and how superior it is compared to what's being sold. (Prevail at that store) They seemed interested enough that they were looking them up online etc. So along with the free swag I may have just opened up an Abena supplier here in Ontario! So it was a very good day indeed Oh and I ended up with my Moli's too! that Glen Erin Pharmacy is a nice little place!
  12. There is a place called Axcess Homecare Solutions - on Parkinson Road, Woodstock. They sell Prevail brand. Also I found a place in simcoe here that sells AMG.. are they any good?
  13. That's great news darkforest! I'll look them up!
  14. This should really be a sticky.. this is some useful info. I mean, we compare diapers all the time.. but none really give the comparison of "cloth backed" vs "plastic" for even the same brand. ex. Attends air leaks like crazy, but plastic don't.. yet Abena air I find don't leak, and neither does the plastic. BTW - I wore my Abena Abri-Flex to work today, they felt AWESOME.. so light and comfy.. and at the end of the day.. I let loose.. NOTHING leaked! .. unlike the stupid Tranquilities!..
  15. Yup nothing to worry.. I wear them to work with shorts.. no one knows.. If you're worried just wear baggy clothing and act normal, weird behaviour will attract attention. BTW you are going to feel like your ass is 10 miles out.. but in reality it's not.
  16. Do you mean the brief? or the pull-up? Because I like something that while I am at work I can get on and off to take a number 2. I JUST got my Abena-Flex tonight, I will try them at work today and see how they stand up. Any other plastic ones that people find discreet? The best "air" ones I have found yet are the Abena-Xplus.
  17. Funny I just found this post. Today I was wearing Tranquility Night pull-ups I have been wearing all day at work and I had let out a few little wettings and it leaked out as if I was wearing plain underwear. Upon inspection (thinking that I may have leaked out the side) I noticed it was only wet on the outside of the diaper. The diaper was also all roughed up. Also witnessed this a few other times with diapers like Attends breathables. I only ever wore the "cloth like" to be discreet and thought they were "softer" but in noticing the chafing and the oder and the fact that I have a leaky diaper that is leaking through .. I may just switch to plastic!
  18. In doing a lot of searching I found a site that sells Molicare Super Plus for $17/bag $9 shipping out of Ottawa.. https://encryptedsecure.com/qualitylifecares/index.cfm
  19. No not an AB/DL store per-say.. an actual store for selling REAL products.. all these medical supply stores with the best they can do is Tranquility.. I'm thinking if someone opened a store that can teach people what real products can do, maybe we'd see a lot less depends around, or crappy tena's. That and the people in the know wouldn't have to pay the out cry of shipping .. nothing worse than hitting up an on-line store selecting your favorite brand for about $20, then finding out it's $28 to ship it.. Weather you're incontinent or AB or DL.. finding good products for a reasonable price that you don't have to wait 1-2 weeks for is really hard to come by... unless you live in Europe where all the good stuff comes from.
  20. LMFAO!!! I think I still would have gone with a pair of whitey-tighties with a panty liner .. sponge would give more than they have now!
  21. You think with all the activity that someone would have opened a store in Ontario by now, maybe close to the GTA or something.. Heck, even being 2 hrs away I'd still drive their if I could get Abena's or Molicares etc. I wonder what it would take to do this? Maybe I should! But I bet it takes the one thing I don't have.. .$$$
  22. Never thought of putting that in the choice selection. LOL Maybe I've never tried it though because of the direction gravity goes! LOL Wow, seems to be getting some good answers.. The urin in the testies tho? Your body has a very good "back flow" valve to stop that.. lol Yeah, I have no problem usually sitting down, but the driving? I can be ready to BURST and the only way to make it happen is if I am sitting at a stop light etc for a bit, then I can.. but soon as the car is rolling again.. off it goes.. Laying down for me, just takes a second or two then I can usually go.. it's gotten harder ever since I had one leak .. and leak BAD on me.. maybe this is all psychological? The driving, laying down.. etc.
  23. Just thought I would start a poll. For some reason out of any of the choices I can think of, driving for me is the hardest to let my body just "go" I don't know why.. just comes up to the gate.. then retreats..
  24. I started a thread http://www.dailydiapers.com/board/index.php?showtopic=23544 to maybe get some Hamilton and area people to hook up for a munch.

Yes I did see it, I am hopping to go one day.. Just that T.O. is almost 2hrs from where I live, so I was hopping to find some people who live closer (Brantford, Hamilton, Paris etc) to join up and start our own. But thanks for the info. jo7 - lets see if we can get some more, then when we got a few people we'll all go out for a friendly munch. - If not, we can always hit up a SecondCup or something to chat.
