  1. Look I know there are a lot of people here who are in the states and I do apologise for this topic but here in the uk I think it is good to network where to buy the cheapest diapers and from where. I was in Southport today and have found a wholesalers who have a showroom, and will sell to the public, they are called B&M supplies and they are in Birkdale. I bought my usual 3 packs of lille maxifit classic for £11.50 per pack, each pack contains 20 diapers. The web address is www.bmsupplies.co.uk cheers kevino
  2. My heart goes out to you, I have had sciatic pain before and I feel for you.I really hope it gets better really really quickly, have you tried a t.e.n.s. machine? they are brilliant, over here in the u.k you can buy them from the local pharmacist-chemist for under £20 and they are worth every penny. All my best to you. kevino
  3. the reason I tried this in the first place was because i disassembled a diaper one day to see what they were made of and why they can hold so much? I took some of the wadding and placed it into a dish and added water and watched the results, what I found was that the manufacturers already use this product or a similar one in their diapers, but it is more finely ground up. I am a keen gardener and have used this "swell gel" in my compost for quite some time which made me realise exactly what it is. cheers kevino
  4. second day of trying the "swell gel" in my diaper just finished at the office I have been wearing the same diaper all day and no leaks and I don't even feel wet ! well not much anyway. I have never heard of balmex, what I use is the unscented baby diaper cream and talcum powder and I rarely get a rash, I can't really afford to get a rash as I am now 24/7 and have been for over a year, so if I get a rash there is no option for me to not wear for a day or two until the rash dies down. cheers kevino
  5. I started for fun and decided to go 24/7 and was advised to use a catheter which I did for 6 months and now I have no choice I have to be diapered 24/7 but it was my choice and I don't regret it one bit.
  6. Hi everybody, just to let you know I am 24/7 and have been for quite sometime. I use lille supreme plus most days and have discovered that if you slit the inner lining at the top edge at the front about 1-2 inchs long horizontally and insert a ruler to release the inner wading from the outside layer you can then pour in swell gel crystals which you can buy from most garden centres, these are the crystals that you mix with compost to make the water retain within the compost. I have today been in the same diaper since 9:30 a.m. and it is now 6:05 p.m. and I have no intention of having a change until much later when I have a shower at 10 p.m. and change for bed. Finding these crystals has dramatically reduced the expense of diapers as I am using 2 per day now instead of 3-4. I don't need to double diaper to get through the night any more making it more comfortable for me. Let me know what you think. cheers kevino
  7. I'm glad these were removed before anything serious happened. I don't want to see minors on here.
  8. Hi I also live in he UK and I agree it isn't a problem in the summer for me either I usually wear a lille disposable with plastic pants over the top as I have had experience of diapers tearing on my jeans. Where in the UK do you live? I'm in Merseyside not 2 minutes from the beach.
  9. Yes I agree, it will never be accepted as "normal" and those people who go on t.v. shows and parade themselves put the rest of us in a negative light.
  10. Erin M, thank you for the reply it allows me to gauge the understanding within the group and I must confess I was playing "devil's advocate" when I posted my comment. What I really think is, it will never be accepted across the main stream, due to the very stigma connected with diapers, people think you must have something wrong with you or are mentally deficient. I find diapers comforting to wear and quite comfortable and as I am now wearing 24/7 and don't have a choice about it, I am happy to keep the status quo and remain in the closet. If people spot me I just think that it is there problem and not mine. cheers kevino p.s. keep wearing
  11. wow, I can't believe what I have just read in the p.d.f. posted it makes great sense to me. But I achieved a true state of incontinence after 6 months just using a catheter. I must admit it did cost me a fair bit of money buying cranberry juice (1 litre per day for the whole of the 6 months) to reduce the risk of infection, but honestly after 6 months and 6 catheters I finally took out the 6Th catheter and I am truly incontinent. It was a bit weird and distressing at first thinking oh boy what have I done to myself because all of time I had the cath in I thought that I was in control and I could revert back just by taking the cath out. It took me a couple of days to talk myself around to thinking this is what I wanted to achieve and here it is, now stop being silly, I haven't looked back. I have tried to stop my pee from flowing but it is no use, it will now take quite some time to retrain my bladder. I don't pee like I used to it now constantly trickles out drip after drip. If you are going to try the 12 month plan, then all I can say is good luck and let us know what the results are.
  12. Yeah why not, I have been wearing diapers 24/7 for over a year and find them really convenient and to be honest comfortable. I do use my diaper for going to the toilet (urinating) in public and when i have been caught short I have used my diaper for pooing but I tend not to do this as the smell and clean up are quite a task in public. I think it will never catch on as a usual thing to wear as so many people who haven't tried it since childhood see it as just that a form of underwear for a child. Please keep trying to convince people and i will do the same.
  13. I agree 100%, I buy my diaper from the same medical store every time and I buy them by the case 2 types, 1/ lille abriform plus xl 2/ night time disposable diapers I felt a little bit embarrassed at first but after the staff get to know you it's fine. I have actually told the staff that they are for me and that I have never had any control from being born, and you know what they seem to sympathise and treat me with respect. They don't know that actually there is nothing wrong with me and that I just like wearing diapers.
  14. for me definitely down, I once tried up and it went everywhere so now it's definitely down. At nights I double diaper for the all night protection and have never had any problems with leaking. I have been wearing 24/7 now for just over three years ans don't regret any moment of it.
