  1. Wow! Lots of different stories and family/friend reactions! Thanks you guys (and gals) for sharing! I've gotten the whole "let's be extremely tense around each other but not talk about it" treatment for the past 2 days and OMG it's killing me. I mean, just freaking ask me already! I'm not going to volunteer information but if my parents did ask then I would let them know it was a leftover from a truth or dare game and leave it at that. Simple explanation really. But they don't ask. They just give each other worried glances and don't say anything. Although, and I found this fricking hilarious, I was on a walk with my mom around the neighborhood the day before yesterday and I mentioned I had to pee but we could finish the walk and she said, "Are you sure you don't want to stop at the house? You're not going to have an accident are you?" I laughed and was like "No way!" And she said it so nice in kind of a, "If you have something you want to tell me you know you can," kinda way. I really do love my mom! (And dad too!) But that was it. No further mention. But someone here said it looks like it's time to move out. Gotta agree with you there. I'm seriously thinking about it even though it would stretch my budget nearly to the breaking point. I'd like to have privacy and my own space at some point! LOL! I suppose the short term solution would be to get a PO box or a box at the local UPS pickup store. I've thought of those solutions too but I'd still have to sneak the diapers into my house. Sigh! What we all put up with just for a little fun. Well I think that's it for now ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. I'm off to get ready for work. TTFN.
  2. Howdy all! I had a horrible experience yesterday and a question for the AB/DL community here formed in my mind. I'm just wondering for those of you that still live with family and have to keep your AB/DL-ness a secret, have you ever been caught by a family memeber/close friend either wearing a diaper or did anyone ever fnd your diaper stash? If so, what happened? I'm really curious! This weekend I was cleaning out my closet and had a box of videotapes I wanted to get rid of/donate to the local library. I put the box down in our dining room so mom and dad could look and see if there was anything they wanted to keep before the tapes went off to the library. When I came home from work yesterday they mentioned that they had found a Depends Boost pad in the box! I almost died of embarassment. I just ddn't respond. I made an excuse to get the hell upstairs to my room. I could have told them the relative truth, that it was left over from a truth or dare game that my fiends and I played a while back, but at that moment I just couldn't get myself to say anything. It wasn't mentioned again all night and I'm not sure if it will be. I'll keep y'all posted but god! Good way to have a freking heart-attack at 30! Well have to get ready for work so TTFN.
  3. Hi Baby Tom! Thanks for replying to my post! I've been into diapers for as long as I can remember actually. It's funny I used to have cabbage-patch dolls that had diapers come with them and I'd sneak and try them on under my underwear when I was little! Of course I didn't realize what a DL or AB was until I got to college and had free reign of the internet. Unfortunately I still live at home with my folks so I have to keep things a secret. In fact yesterday was kind of traumatic because I'd been cleaning out my closet and had a box of videotapes that I was going to send to the local library sitting in our dining room and mom and dad found a Depends booster pad in the box! I'm still reeling. I didn't say anything and they didn't really ask me any more about it other than telling me they found it. I have an "excuse" ready in case they should ask that is based on the truth. The booster pad was actually left over from a game of truth or dare I played with my friends a while back. Two of my best friends know about my DL tendencies and I can freely wear in front of them no problem. One of those friends even lets me keep a bag of diapers at his house! I got great buddies! But enough about me... Like I said to glenn63 I think it's really cool that people who have to wear diapers for medical reasons find that they love them for other reasons as well. It kind of takes away the sting of "having" to wear them, and you get to join awesome communities like DailyDiapers! Woot! (I'm a morning person, can you tell?) Anywho, I'd love to chat here and get to know my "neighbor" better. Hope to see you around the boards! TTFN.
  4. Hey glenn63! Thanks so much for responding to my post! I think you are correct, there probably are many folks out there that are AB/DL who would not want to put themselves "out there" so to speak for various privacy reasons and so forth. You and I are a bit different. I don't wear for medical rasons. I wear diapers cause they're comfey and turn me on! LOL. I really hope this doesn't offend you. It's awesome though, that many people who do need to wear diapers for meditcal reasons find themsleves loving them for AB play or just as a DL. I'd love to chat here and get to know you and the other forum members better. The best times for me to chat are late in the afternoon cause I get out of work at 4:30 and am usually home by quarter to five. (Lucky me no commute!) Anyway, Ta for now!
  5. I wore one of those cloth-like diapers to work once. It was interesting because I had gone home for lunch, found no one at home, and knew I could probably get away with it. I spent the last 3 and a half hours at work diapered. However, I didn't and don't have the opportunity to wear regular "crinkly" diapers and my workplace is very much like a close knit family so anyone changing in the bathroom would get totally chewed out. For Halloween I decided to dress up as a baby (although I don't have AB tendencies I thought it would be a good excuse to wear a diaper to work) and I was "forbidden" by a co-worker to wear a diaper. I ended up chickening out about the diaper wearing but I did dress very baby-like. I harassed her though, telling her that she was "repressing" me and not letting me be myself. I jokingly told her that a diaper was just another form of underwear. Her reaction was "That sounds like something that should go on behind closed doors." I was sort of miffed because that's the backwards sort of thinkng that makes being a AB/DL so freaking difficult. At this point in time I think most of my co-workers don't know anything about my being a DL and I'm happy to just keep dropping subtle hints now and then in case I do ever decide to wear to work. That way no one will be totally shocked! Anyway, off I go to said work! Ta!
  6. Hi all! I'm new to DailyDiapers and was wondering if there was anyone on here from the Southern New Hampshire region?
  7. Yup, it sucks. All the stores around my area are basically force-feeding (not literally) the super-thin (tissues basically) cloth-like outer cover "diapers." I can't stand them. I'm sure for people with light to medium incontinence who want something discrete then they're probably just dandy. Of course the retail world doesn't realize that not everyone who needs protection has light to medium incontinence. The stores are in it for the money of what sells to the masses, not to accommodate people with a wide variety of needs. The best way to get what you want/need is to go online. Unfortunately, not all of us can order our diapers online for one reason or another. I'm stuck buying the Depends. I've found that if I wear two of them I get the thickness I want and the security of no leaks. Somebody here mentioned that the Depends don't seem to be as good as they used to be. I agree. Even a few years back they seemed better. Now the Maximum Protection have this bizarre green "elastic" or whatever in the back and I can never get the waist to be snug enough. (There's always a draft in back if you know what I mean! Brr!) Too bad there isn't a non-internet retailer that specializes in incontinence supplies (or if there is one then I don't think they exist around here) like an adult diaper warehouse. That would be awesome.
  8. Hi Squidgy! I've worn diapers in public quite a bit and I've never had anyone say anything to me or even give me a weird look. In fact I was out today shopping around with two thick diapers on under my jeans and even changed in a public lavatory! I have to admit, though, that every time I do go out with diapers on I have a twinge of anxiety until I remember that it's nobody's business. I believe the key is to just act like yourself, be confident, and don't act like anything is unusual. Anyway, stay diapered!
  9. Thanks to everyone who welcomed me today! I haven't posted much today since I was out a good portion of it but hopefully I'll see you all around! Ta.
  10. Hi everyone! I'm hoping to be a regular contributor to these forums. I've been a DL all my life but only since college have I been buying adult diapers and using them. I've been browsing other ABDL communities out there and this one seemed to be one of the best to contribute to/join. I am a 30 year old single female from New England. I'm a Cancer and thus have a different mood swing every three seconds or so! I basically joined DailyDiapers because I want to be able to talk to people who know and understand what it means to be a DL and possibly to meet that special someone. Cheers!
