Terry chuckles as Abby leaves the office talking to her doll. "We get a lost doll almost every week. We are used to it. It happens unfortunately."

the hostess smiles. "You are actually very lucky. The girl who was your waitress found her and has her for you in the managers office. I will page my manager for you. She presses a button on the walkie-talkie she is carrying: "Terry to the Hostess desk plesase, Terry to the Hostess desk." He will be here in a few minutes. While you wait you can sit on these chairs. Terry arrived a few minutes later and shakes hands with dad and Abby. "You are here for the lost doll? Follow me." He leads the way to the office and unlocks the door and pushes it wide open. "She is right there on the desk," he points.

The hostess at the welcome counter walks up behind them. "Is there something that you left here by chance, sir?"

As the manager of IHOP, I like to often walk around the restuarant and personally make sure my customers are enjoying their meals and service from my staff. I was making my rounds when I was approached by Allison. She is our newest hostess and was carrying a doll. Allison told me that the doll was left behind by a father/daughter couple. She remembers best because was first birthday customer of the day. Girl seemed to look teenage but asked to be in a high-chair. I give her the key to my office and tell her the set the doll on my desk, sure that the customers will return for the doll.
