Hey guys sorry I've been slacking on all of this! I didn't anticipate the class Im currently in to be so challanging. To top it all off, I've had strep throat for the past 5 days... I've been pretty much useless. I know this was all my idea, its up in the air on if I will be able to make it. My cousin unexpetedly gave birth a month early, both her and the baby are fine. However, family plans may drag me out of the state for the weekend this even has been planned. I'll see what I can get figured out, as I would like to see this event still happen!!

Spone I'm sorry you work in a place you don't like. I've grown up in the senior care industry. I've been in nursing homes, assisted living and dementia care communities and I have yet to see a place that is as horrible as you are saying. While I do understand there are some bad places out there, what you need to understand is they're not all bad. The senior care industry is something I'm very passionate about and I have to say it rather irks me that someone like you would rather continue to spew negativity about an industry that is constantly trying to make the public understand that long term care is a great thing.

Where I work you can opt for small studio all the way up to a 2 room suite, every room has its own kitchenette, with fridge and microwave. Residents may come and go as they please, have access to the entire community, from the billard room to the gym and the casino room. We do have a few communities in the UK. http://www.sunrise-care.co.uk/ Unfortunately I dont know much about other companys that have communities in the UK but see theyre not all that bad!

Sorry I haven't posted in the tread for a little while. Ive been absolutely swamped with work and school. Hopefully things will start to slow down and I can get a few things finalized for this lil get together!

I work in an assisted living home and you'll be surprised to know the vast majority of the residents do not use diapers. Those who do use, you cannot even tell. Where I work we strive to get our residents on a schedule to use the restroom and not rely on diapers. The residents are changed every 2hrs or more frequently if needed, so they don't sit there and smell. I don't wear diapers but given what I know of assisted living you can sign me up when I'm old!

Tami - depending on how my finances are looking I'm hoping to grab a hotel for the weekend, if I do you are more then welcome to stay with me Duck - I was at bolsa chica a few weekends ago and was thinking that might be a good spot, its easy to get to and if I get there early enough I can snag a fire pit. I can't imagine the beaches will be too crowded that weekend but who knows! I'm looking forward to seeing both of you again

I'm not going to restrict who wears what. I know not everyone shares my opinion but I really don't care what others may think when they see an AB dressed up. I'm almost 100% sure the date will be August 22nd. Ill start checking out some beaches and see what I can find, however beach suggestions are always welcome!

I would imagine it would be pretty low key, well except for Tami's sailor outfit . It's pretty much whatever everyone is comfortable with. All I ask is that you just be you and dont get us into too much trouble! So you're going to attend right?

The two date options are Sat August 15th or Sat August 22nd. This give us plenty of rest time before Labor Day weekend as Im sure quite a few of us will be going out of town. Duck, isnt there a car event that youre going to sometime in August?

Ill take a look at some dates tonight and throw some out there to see which would work the best.

So I've been talking to sissytami about going to the beach lately and last night I got to thinking about how fun it would be to have a little get together, sometime near the end of august, at the beach! It would be pretty low key, just a chance for everyone to mingle and play. I know in the past its been kinda hard to round everyone up, but I thought I'd give it another shot. Let me know if this is something you'd be interested in.

Writing a paper on countertrading and global financing isnt very fun.

Rather then paying someone to wear diapers, why not try to make a lady friend through something like diapermates.com (I think that's the website but not 100% certain). I would think it would be that much better to be with someone who's enjoying themselves vs being with someone who's doing it just to make some money.

Yay Tigon for posting this, I've been looking into getting cloth diapers for my little one but haven't a clue as to whats good and whats not. So this thread should turn out to be pretty helpful!
