Experiment with a smaller size pad, and make sure it is well lubricated. Because it is a deformable object (as compared to carrots, shampoo bottles and other things you hear horror stories of people showing up to emergency rooms to get removed), if it goes in, it will come out.

I found this in some random wanderings. I tried it last night, and registered to say what a wonderful experience it was. It was so great that I did it again, 2 hours later.
