  1. Eagleclc: I’m curious about developments for you. I tried this for a couple of days, and on the evening of the second day, I had a bladder half full and completely lost control in my dining (trying to get to the bathroom) while my 7 year old daughter was watching tv in the next room. Thankfully, she didn’t hear the pee pouring onto the floor in the next room.

    Are you still experimenting?

  2. Nullo or chlorophyll tablets or capsules or tablets will help with the odor or urine, feces, and body odor in general. It won't eliminate everything, and more water will help, but they work pretty well (though your poop will turn greenish). If there's a GNC near you, try their triple-chlorophyll gel-caps.

  3. I've posted this somewhere before. Twice in independent pharmacies I've had someone make a remark. Once an older woman, after ringing me up, said, "Have fun..." while I was on my way out the door. Maybe I looked really excited about the purchase, I don't know. On another occasion, on a rainy day, the woman behind the counter told me to "stay dry" on my way out.

  4. Most public spaces have too much white noise to hear the crinkle. But try one of those dollar tree stores. It's dead silent with no elevator music. If you're crinkly, others may be able to hear you.

  5. Like many, I have always had a desire to be in diapers. I was potty trained very early, before I was 2. My mother has always bragged about how early I was trained. But I learned much later that I was actually diapered at night until I was nearly four due to encopresis. I was a child who was constipated and held it all day long but then went while asleep.

I have only one a very vague memory of wearing a diaper that was containment-deficient during play time, and, though it's difficult to imagine, it must have been before I was two. I do remember having a drawer full of plastic pants that I would sometimes put on and then urinate into them. These must have been used to cover the pampers for my nighttime accidents. Disposible diapers were a relatively new invention and apparently weren't terribly effective. I remember very clearly when my parents decided to throw them out. I also remember when my father found one while cleaning out the closet. I so desperately wanted to get my hands on it but never did.

After that, my story is like many of yours: I used multiple layers of toilet paper; I peed/messed myself; I wore several pair of underwear; and, sometimes, I used towels and plastic bags. When I was eight, I stole one of my cousins diapers and used it. Mostly, I just fantasized about diapers. I remember being four or five and visiting a home where there was a package of Luvs in the nursery. And my first experience masturbating occurred while fantasizing about diapers.

Of course, everything changed when I turned sixteen and began to drive. I went to a neighboring town, bought a package of Curity adult diapers that were too small and entered into the world of adult diaper wearing. The next day, I made another trip a bought the old green Depends they used to make.

Diapers are far less sexual to me than they once were. Now, they're relaxing. Like others, they give a sense of comfort and security and, I'm sure, freedom. Control -- or the lack of it -- has always been an issue for me, I guess.

  6. I was a big fan of the old Molicare Supers that were all plastic, even on the sides, and was sad to see them go. But I recently ordered a bag of the Molicare Comfort Supers, and I think they are great. They're basically a cross between traditional-style diaper and Tena's flex (or maybe Tena Flex and Prevail Fits-to-a-T). They're cloth-backed and white with purple Molicare markings and small blue rectangles down the center of the diaper as a wetness indicator.

They're very trim and fit well under clothes. In fact, I can't imagine a diaper being more discrete (although I'm still a little too paranoid to wear in situations where I might see someone I know). The best thing about these diapers is, as others have mentioned, the amount of SAP. These things will swell and swell. But I find it best not to flood them repeatedly, at least after an initial flood. Rather, wetting frequenlty will help you to get the most absorbency out of them. They're my new favorite.

  7. I would like to have seen how Dr Phil would have interacted with the woman who went on Tyra. She was interesting, articulate, and brave. I don't imagine though that he would have had much to say since appeared much more "mainstream," at least as mainstream as one of us might be.

  8. I also attached a pic of a pair of trainers got off ebay, they are wonderful, fit well and WORK....

Square_Duck -- From which seller did you get those trainers on ebay? I'd love to have a pair.

  9. I was a late potty trainer and my mom kept me in diapers until I was six years old because I had too many accidents. I remember having very mixed emotions about wearing diapers as an older child - being both embarrassed about it, but at the same time feeling very secure in my diapers. Over time I got attached to wearing diapers, and once out of them, I missed being in them. I started wearing diapers again during college and being in them brings back lots of childhood memories. Being kept in diapers late into childhood is a big reason why I am an AB/DL today and I am wondering if others share similar experiences.

I only remember having three accidents. I wet my pants when I was four and eight, and I wet the bed when I was eight as well. But apparently after I was potty trained quite early (~18 mos), I still had encopresis (fecal incontinence) at night until I was nearly four or so. I have no memory of this, but I do remember the store of plastic pants kept in one of my dresser drawers that I enjoyed putting on. And I remember the day my folks threw them away. Interestingly, I have no real concern with plastic pants today, just the diapers.

  10. My IC changes with the seasons, and so I am trying pads as I have grown weary of pullups and diapers. However, I need a BIG pad. What do you use? What do you buy at the local drugstore when your out of your normal selection? I have had a number of embarassing experiences with several store products so far, but the best to date has been the Tena Overnight pads. Anything else out there that is more absorbent?

Take a look at the Abena Abri-San Midi 5. They're basically undetectable and can be lined with a pampers 7 or something else. They resemble the Kendall Lille's in the photo above. But they're not that big, though adequate for a male. The next step up (size 6) covers more area but doesn't appear to be any more absorbent. And, of course, there's also the Abri-San XP, which I imagine would be quite bulky.

If you're limited to what you can find in stores, the Tena Overnight pads are probably the best you'll get. They're a bit bulky for me.
