  1. If you want to grow it out- try massaging your scalp, daily for about 20 min. (At first that sounds like a crazy long time- then you start to crave it, and do it without thinking).. This adds anywhere from 1/4"-3/4" hair growth a month. (I average an extra 12" a month- total of about 3/4" a month- if I really push for it I can get an inch)

I think avg hair growth is 1/4"-1/3" a month for the head.

My hair grows crazy fast normally anyways, and I've been doing this for years for migraines- only a few years ago came across literature that backed up the hair growth stuff.

Looks like you have wavy hair- you could try a curling product to get you through the weird phase.

  2. I hate changing in public restrooms. But if you wear 24/7 you get used to/ learn how to be discrete(ish). And also realize that no one really cares (or notices).. Sure tapes are noisy. But people auto ignore the stuff/movements/bags/noises that happen. Attitude is "I don't know nor do I want to know"

I found this to be the case even in small work environments- people just don't care, and literally go out of there to not pay attention.

If anything- disposing is the hardest. Come prepared with odor (and color). Shielded bags, you'll be fine.

Take a slim backpack. And if need be toss the odor shielded bag in the car for discrete disposal. (For small environments).

  3. http://m.wikihow.com/Remove-Urine-Stains-from-a-Mattress

I use "simple solutions- extreme stain and odor remover on my furniture and bed when I leak- goes through mattress. (Using above directions)

I also use a completely plastic cover on very bottom (typically very hot and noisy) followed by a combo fabric and plastic backed cover. (Cool- and keeps the plastic sheet quiet).

A cool, thick breathable sheet (so you don't feel any of the texture). Over that. And your bulletproof.

For side sleeping- tape up normally- go to tub and let loose. (On your side) with a full bladder. See where you leak. Front, legs, or back. That will tell you where you need to pay attention to the slack, and possibly add a particular type of extra pad (fast or slow absorption-do you leak immediately or only at half-near capacity)

  4. @Betty it's funny that the auto correct is so invasive in our society yet so terrible. There are also very few global auto correct programs for an operating system, rather than a phone.

In regards to typing. It's all about effort. I have use of one hand, I type with one hand. Though my wpm are upwards of 60-70 if I'm out of practice and around 80-90 if in practice.

I "mastered" the qwerty keyboard over 20 years. Eventually I started looking for shortcuts for sustainability ( being able to type longer at same speeds with no typos)

What I found was a huge backlash of those that would advocate against the use of modified keyboards or keyboard layouts. " if you don't learn what the rest of the world is using, you'll be out in the cold"

Sadly the layout I want doesn't even have a typing program for one hand- it simply doesn't exist. (My home row is different than two)

As for the depression etc. i get that I do. "Anything worth doing is worth doing terribly or even better, failing miserably the first time"

I myself have been suffering from an unknown and as of yet undiagnosed form of debilitating vertigo for the past 18 months. - effecting me both on physical and mental levels.

I think DH Lawrence puts it best in the poem on self pity

I never saw a wild thing

    Sorry for itself

A small bird will drop frozen dead from a bough

Without ever having felt sorry for itself

I do wonder how language and grammar will be effected by the generation that comes into this world where texting is the normal form of having a conversation and the grammar of txt and IM is what shape that generation from the earliest age.

I also want to comment on the amazing fact of how quickly we as humans adapt to mistakes and are able to read how and what we perceive "what we think" should be there. I believe that individuals that don't polish their replies take advantage of that, and hone in on that skill.

Also on the idea of effective communication. I would say that for me the biggest drawback is the forgetfulness that the vast majority of what we say isn't through words. Taking shortcuts can get a message across though it Mae Noot Alwise bee da write won.

Especially if we really on abbreviated words, auto correct, text to speech etc. a message may get across though a misunderstanding may occur and a lack of emotion or inferring of the wrong emotional state is often an issue.

I could also point to shows like "the Big Bang theory" which makes looking smart appear like it takes so little effort, and keeping up and being at the top of your field shouldn't take time, effort and energy- if in fact your smart.

"Knowledge is NOT power- the utilization of knowledge is"

If someone wants to play the game they also need to realize there is effort involved.

I think in the end- the delivery method needs to fit the medium. Don't come to an intellectual debate without being prepped and likewise don't go to to the DD chat room when full on age play RP is going on looking for intellectual stimulation.

  5. @Betty I also think that we as a society have come to want and expect "instant gratification " and where time is money" and the attitude is being slow is being dumb. Taking the time to digest, absorb, and read, then think critically about the what you just read. (And actually focusing long enough in a digital environment where everything is "shiny" and constantly asking for your attention.)

It is becoming more and more difficult to contribute in these types of meaningful intellectual debates when the status quo is a "tweet" an terrible autocorrect on a phone, and a society that values quantity rather than quality.

I think the text, the grammar and the language itself is a symptom, not the cause. It shows the values that we as a society hold dear. If language is meant to portray an idea, an emotion or feeling and the evaluation of language is intertwined with technology and the evolution exponentially increasing with the more people who touch, move and are exposed to it, and thus interact with the language, and the language with our culture.

If our culture is influenced on their is a only so much time for each person, and to waste that time is stupid. I think it is a direct reflection of our culture taking shortcuts through language. This efficiency is not a new idea, and in fact the idea of language being standardized is fairly new (20th century). It seems that for the majority of people in the world- "if I'm only going to read this once- I don't need perfection, I just need to be able to convey my thoughts, ideas and emotions effectively". I also believe we are far past that tipping point where it is beyond out control to stop for anything more than academic or published reading.

  6. I purchase stuff from amazon about once a week. I also use prime.

It seems on stuff that is larger (such as office furniture, or other things the size of a case of diapers or above that includes their own packaging). It's really quite random. I've had them repackage some stuff and other items not so.

My suggestion would be to check other sellers (if you use prime check and see if there are any others that offer prime) that you can Inquire about discreet shipping. Next I would check all offers for "free" shipping and see if description says discrete. I honestly would not trust them as I think it comes down to the individual packaging the items in the warehouse.

I have yet to be able to choose a method of shipping sadly.

  7. I'm surprised they have yet to put a date on their site yet. I really want to try their new run.

I am at the moment in between a good 24/7 diaper. I'm hoping that they will fix things. My fallback was tena. But with the tena going to the fabric liner style. /groan.

  8. A Plan for the Improvement of English Spelling

    by Mark Twain

For example, in Year 1 that useless letter "c" would be dropped to be replased either by "k" or "s", and likewise "x" would no longer be part of the alphabet. The only kase in which "c" would be retained would be the "ch" formation, which will be dealt with later. Year 2 might reform "w" spelling, so that "which" and "one" would take the same konsonant, wile Year 3 might well abolish "y" replasing it with "i" and Iear 4 might fiks the "g/j" anomali wonse and for all. Jenerally, then, the improvement would kontinue iear bai iear with Iear 5 doing awai with useless double konsonants, and Iears 6-12 or so modifaiing vowlz and the rimeining voist and unvoist konsonants. Bai Iear 15 or sou, it wud fainali bi posibl tu meik ius ov thi ridandant letez "c", "y" and "x" -- bai now jast a memori in the maindz ov ould doderez -- tu riplais "ch", "sh", and "th" rispektivli. Fainali, xen, aafte sam 20 iers ov orxogrefkl riform, wi wud hev a lojikl, kohirnt speling in ius xrewawt xe Ingliy-spiking werld.

  9. The biggest problem in the states is infrastructure. In other countries where the size of the country is the size a Arizona (Italy for example). Or in many cases at most Montana- your not running cabling everywhere.

It costs a ton of money to build out good infrastructure. Hence bandwidth caps. High prices. (Why the states pay 5x as much for 1/3 the speed). And the idea of net neutrality. (The "high speed" lane the ISPs propose is the same one you pay for now and that ALL your data goes through.)

The need for "live tv" no longer exists in a paid sense. As time shifting with cable and sat exists on a "on demand" sense. Where you can choose your network, then show, then stream it after it's been aired (cox cable has been doing this for at least two years)

I think eventually we will need to move to an ala carte network and movie studie method. Rather then a cable and sat package deal (paying $149 for game of thrones?!) and in the form if using peers bandwidth (ala ptp and the way Netflix is moving). With a simplified home theatre PC. Where tv shows, and movies are simply available after a release date. And sports can either been streamed or downloaded, same with other live events.

I think that's the only way for things to keep going ( when cable first came out the appeal wasn't just content but GASP.. No commercials). With the availability of content I think we need to go back to that or 5 second banners 1-2x a show.

    My. 02 cents

  10. Yes, eventually "TV" will be a website on the internet and the thing hanging on your wall or in your entertainment center will be a computer. We're coming pretty close already... another decade may see it fully realized.

    That's my home theatre computer!

  11. If you ever embark on something called mental photography training (there's photoreading and the less well known but original and more comprehensive ZOX) I can guarantee you at the least you will have extremely vivid dreams, and at most have lucid dreaming. Also I have gotten a near eidetic memory from going through the full 30 days of training.

  12. I dunno. I disagree. There a lot of adult nursing relationship who love it not for the sexual aspect or the ab/dl aspect but for the bonding aspect.

I liken it to something in between cuddling and kissing. Kissing isn't inherently sexual- often times a form of close bonding. I see this as a form of extremely close bonding between two people. The OP may feel there may be less of a chance of things getting weird or sexual or weird if they do get sexual if they choose a female- "hey I have the ability to lactate too"

In the end I think we as community over analyze motives. Things can be sensual without being sexual. Erotic without being sensual. Sensual while just bringing two people close- without throwing the mind into the gutter. Each person has a lifetime of experience that motivates them and impacts how they will react to any particular stimulus.

  13. There are things like incontinence anal plugs and pills for odors. Combined with adult wet wipes that are disposable- it's doable. Also one can change their diet to add various supplements (like supergreen food fruit and veggie caps that just on their own make the stool smell extremely less potent and "earthy" at best. If you know your going to eat something that's gonna cause you trouble you can take some activated charcoal to mitigate the effects. And if you know you'll be in a situation you'll be unable to change. That's where the incontinence plugs come in. (Long plane ride, business meeting etc)
