  1. I wear 24/7 and have for some time now. Most of the time I wear just a diaper. Occasionally I will wear plastic panties, but I avoid it as much as possible, as they get very hot and sweaty. I wear the plastic panties only if I am exercising or my jeans are very loose.
  2. I wore diapers to bed until I was 8 1/2 yo, because I still wet the bed. The Christmas I had when I was 8 was no exception. I woke up Christmas morning wet. When I got up mom told me I needed to get out of my wet diaper and take a bath before we had our tree. I did not want to take the time to take a bath, I was just too excited and started to have a tantrum. My mom said I either had to take a bath or she would change me and put another diaper on until I had a bath thinking that that would solve the tantrum. I was stubbon though, so I told her to just change my diaper. So for the first time in 3 or 4 years, I opened my presents while still wearing a diaper. My aunt, uncle and 3 cousins came over part way through opening our presents. When I saw my cousins come in, I asked my mother if I could get changed. But mom made me wear the diapers until everyone was finished. I was mad then, but later when mom and I were talking (II was about 12 or 13 then) she told me that she made me stay in diapers that day for a reason. In life we often have to made decisions and suffer the consequenses that go along with those decisions. We can't always change our minds later. Wearing diapers on Christmas was minor compared to others I may have in life. Everyone knew I still was in night diapers at that time so it was not that big a deal. Later as I grew older, I remembered that and was usually careful when I had to make choices. Sometimes mothers do know what they are doing.
  3. I wore diapers to bed and for long car trips until I was 8, so it was a regular event that would not cause me to remember most of the time when I wore them. I do remember one time just before I turned 8. Mom wanted to put me in a diaper because we were going to visit my cousins about an hour and a half away. I got my diaper on, but when she put my yellow shorts back on, I could see my diaper through the material. I asked if i could get another pair of shorts on, but she said that we had to get going right away as we were late getting started. One of my younger cousins had just been toilet trained and was proud of it so he teased me all afternoon. That was the only time I can remember being ashamed of wearing diapers at that age.
  4. You can get Attends regular at Duraline. I got some and they were indeed purple.
  5. In our family, if you wet the bed, you wore a diaper until you were dry for 3 months. If it was an isolated accident, you wore a diaper the next couple of nights and if you were dry the in morning you did not have to keep wearing them. I had to wear them until I was 8 almost 9. It was no big thing for any of us to wear a diaper. It was just for protection, not punishment. I didn't like it when I had to be put back in diapers at 12 when I started wetting the bed again, but I am still wearing them now.
  6. The pharmacy where I get my Attends no longer stocks the Eazy Fit or Classic style Attend 10s that I usually get, so I was forced to get the Breathables. This is my first experience with a cloth like cover diaper. I was pleasantly surprised. I wear a diaper pretty much 24/7. The last time I wore real cloth underwear I felt like I was damp most of the time and I was afraid I would have an accident. They certainly are quieter, not usually a problem, but occasionally I had to wear a pull up instead of a diaper because of the noise. Yesterday, I was able to wear a diaper instead of a pull up in the situation I knew I would be in. I doubt that I will ever buy Depend pull ups again. I really hated them. I find that the tapes are much more secure and refastenable than even the Easy Fit. I still like the plastic outer cover better, but I will probably continue to buy the Breathales from now on. I wish that the pharmacy had the super absorbancy, but these seem to hold my wettings quit well. I find that with the Velcro tapes its much easier to adjust and get the diaper tighter when it is wet and I cannot change right away.
  7. In my family, all childred had to wear just in case diapers until we were 8 whenever we were going to be in the car for more than 2 hours, going to be away from the house for more than 4 hours (at the firworks, a fair, etc.), or if we wet the bed the night before. After we were 8, we had to keep our just in case diaper dry 5 times before we did not have to wear them again. If we were out of just in case diapers and had an accident, we had to go back to diapers again until we were dry for 5 times again. Until i was 10, the longest I went was 4 times. When I turned 12, I started weting the bed again so I was back to diapers at night again, but I did not have to wear them during the day until I started having daytime accidents again. The worst part of just in case diapers was having the diaper put on. I didn't mind wearing it so much as my brother and sisters knowing that I had to wear them. We had to go get our diapers and bring them to mom to have them put on until we were 10 and could show we could put them on without them leaking.
