  1. "If they start going and aren't telling us, that's usually a sign that a child isn't ready for potty training." Ivy admitted, giving it a few moments thought. "I suppose something like a potty chart would embarrass them...suppose that's something we can skip out on for now. And yes, let's, Momma needs some coffee before we load them into the car." Ivy gave her a smile, quickly kissing her cheek. "I mean....we might end up playing with toys anyway." Avery pointed out as he wrinkled his nose. "Not like we can go do something like bike riding on our own anymore....and if our imagination is more intense, do you think stuff like movies and games might be 'scarier' now? Like a horror movie might way freak us out, 'cause little kids usually can't handle those." He mused thoughtfully, finishing off the last bite or so off his doughnut as Momma entered the kitchen. "Hi, Momma."
  2. "....." Ravio's ears were bright pink, but managed a clumsy nod. "I....okay. Give...give me a moment then." He's clearly reluctant, but with a sigh, he went to fetch the package of pull-ups. Yep. About to change willingly into training pants bought by an Amazon and letting her know how they fit. Any other Little would be shaking their heads at him now. He hesitated another moment, before slowly making his way to the bathroom, making sure to lock the door behind him. Okay. Just....just change into them then.....nothing more to it....
  3. "You bought a pack of pull-ups, right?" Ivy nodded slowly. "We might as well leave them in the diapers, and pack a few pull-ups. Change them at the store after they either ask to use the potty or need a change. Should we count that first accident or should it only count once they're in pull-ups?" Avery frowned, reaching over to try to pat Ellie's hand. "I wouldn't let anyone make fun of you, so you don't have to worry about that. Anyone at our old school or this new one starts anything with you, will have to deal with me, alright?" He promised. "And um, I guess. He mentioned something about dreams, didn't he? Uh. I guess little kids have more imagination. So dreams are more vivid. But hey, that means good dreams will be even better, you know? Won't all be scary nightmares."
  4. "I just hope she doesn't feel embarrassed or try to push herself if Avery can keep his training." Ivy sighed. After all, even if she was smaller now, any kid would feel frustrated if their sibling was easily doing something out of their range. And, of course, there was the very unlikely and tiny chance that the odds would end up with Avery losing his training, and Ellie keeping hers. Though, with their ages, that was very improbable. "Uh, okay, I think?" Avery guessed, nibbling on his own doughnut. "I fell asleep really easily, I only remember vaguely you coming in. But I always sleep heavy, you know? You had a bad dream, right? Did you want to talk about it or nah, just forget about it?" Just in case Ellie didn't remember, or just didn't want to talk about a nightmare with her big brother.
  5. Ravio flushed as well, stepping away from the bags. "I-I....I don't know. Um. If...if you keep leaving and going with....packages like that, someone's going to end up seeing eventually." He frowned, biting his lip as he rocked back in his heels. "...I dunno, I heard Amazons made those tapes basically indestructible....is that just, um..an urban legend or something?" It did seem like something they'd do...after all, any runaway "baby" could find something sharp, couldn't they? But it could also be something to spook Littles into not even trying... "Uh,,I guess I'll try just the pull-ups?" Yep. Awkward, his tone is very awkward. "....It'll just be a problem otherwise, right...?"
  6. "I think that works." Ivy agreed, glancing back towards the kitchen. "The three strikes ended up working out once they realized it wasn't too fun sitting in a wet pull-up or diaper...." And Ellie had been easy, very eager to be like her older sibling and get big kid underwear. "Do you think we should remind them to take a potty break every hour or so, or should we first see if they even notice if they have to go first? Ellie already has a very low chance of keeping her training...."
  7. Ravio frowned, eyeing the bags like they were some radioactive waste Claire just dumped on his table. He thought....they'd wait on daytime protection....but. But it seemed rude to suddenly argue with Claire, so he kept silent, just nodded quietly. Not like he had to wear them, right? Claire...wasn't making him. He sighed, moving closer to actually look at the so called nighttime protection package. "Um. The...tapes. Will I be able to do them?" Very awkward! "...Don't...don't Amazons like making them impossible for Littles to do...?"
  8. "Morning, Ellie." Avery waved at her from Momma's side with a tired yawn. "Did you sleep better after you came to see me?" He asked, glancing curiously at the unicorn plushie. He guessed it was cute, and it was fine if Ellie liked playing with it. "I think Mommy's home." Ivy commented at the sound of the door opening downstairs. She offered her hand to the little girl, waiting until she took it before heading downstairs with both the kids. "Welcome back, honey! Did you make it out okay with your shopping?"
  9. Ravio opened the door just a crack to take a peek, before opening it fully at the sight of Claire. He looked nervous again, his lips pressed into a thin line. Protection topic was still hard for any Little after all. "...Hi...did, did it go okay? Um...you didn't run into anyone, did you....?" Someone who'd see what she'd bought and taken too much interest...
  10. "Did you find everything you wanted?" The Tweener asked politely, scanning the packages and protector. "Would you be interested in joining our rewards program? It's free, it just tracks your purchases and gives you rewards based on it. It really helps on discounts for future packages of protection." But once that required speech was done, she bagged everything, waiting for Claire to pay before handing her receipt. "Have a nice day!"
  11. "Okay, princess. Can you stay in your room until I have Avery up? You could come up with a name for your unicorn." Ivy suggested, gathering up the discarded towel. "I still want you two to be careful on the stairs until we know you're more steady on your feet than yesterday, okay?" She crouched down to kiss Ellie on the head, before exiting the room. Avery was a soggy groggy boy even once she scooped him up, their little boy not really fully coming to awareness until he was in the tub. But she got him all washed up, before bringing him to his own room. New diaper and Avery was fine with getting dressed himself too. "Okay, let's go get your sister and then see if Mommy is home, hm?" She held his hand, walking back to Ellie's room. "Ready for breakfast, princess?"
  12. "Oh, congratulations on your baby!" The girl gave her another bright smile and a nod. "That would be aisle 11, ma'am! Left side should be daytime protection and right should be for nighttime. I'd recommend Little Dreams for your night choice, it's our most popular brand right now. Thick enough to prevent any leaks while your baby sleeps. And there's a selection so your Little can't remove the tapes without an Amazon, stops them from making a mess, you know?"
  13. Ivy brought Ellie on into the bathroom, placing her feet down on the ground for now so she could begin filling the tub. "Footie pajamas are nice to avoid cold feet in the morning, huh?" She hummed, before fetching a towel to lay down the ground for now. Hopefully next change at home they'd have a nicer table or pad... "Okay, Big girl, why don't you get out of your pjs and I'll get you out of that diaper and we can get you all clean?" Ivy suggested, electing to give the girl a little more independence. But she waited until her daughter was done, before getting her to lay down on the towel. And a very quick removal of a diaper later, she had Ellie in the tub for a speedy wash. She'd had a real bath last night after all, this was just to get that icky nighttime accidents off. "And all done!" Ivy smiled, wrapping Ellie up in a towel to bring to her room. Made a mental note as well to maybe get the two kids some nice hooded towels, might be better for them. "Okay, so I just have this cute shirt and shorts for now, Ellie, because you wore the dress yesterday. Let's see if you like them, and when we go shopping later, you can decide what you want there, alright?" Ivy offered once she had Ellie all padded up in a new diaper. "Do you want to try getting dressed yourself while I get Avery up, or do you want some help? Either one is okay!"
  14. The pharmacy was one of the small cute ones, likely family owned. Not many people shopping at this time of day, and only a few workers. One of them was a Tweener girl, clearly about mid high school age who gave Claire a bright smile. "Howdy there! Welcome to Sunny's! Anything you need help finding today, ma'am? I'm happy to help!" Definently a new worker, unused to retail torture work just yet.
  15. "I...I don't know." Ravio frowned, shoulders hunching up even more. "I don't know my size, it's not like I've...had a reason to check. I know I'm....about the size of an Amazon three year old, that's about it." Bit tall for a three year old he was also very lanky. The second question got him to open his mouth, about to admit he was an idiot who ended up watching a hypnotic cartoon and yet what came out of his mouth was- "I dunno." He blinked before frowning. ....Was that some weird side effect? That they didn't want Littles talking about what they might have been caught in?
  16. "...I thought about that too." Ravio admitted in a very small voice, embarrassment clear in his tone. "..But...I...a Little can't go out and get protection like that. You can say it's the mature thing to do but that wouldn't stop the first worker or customer to try to adopt them on the spot. ...Not even ordering online is safe...." That can be tracked. Or end up being delivered to his door in boxes that helpfully gave away exactly what he bought. "...So I've been trying to set my alarm. But I've been sleeping deeper lately too..."
  17. "Hmm, you bathed them last night, how about I do it?" Ivy suggested, holding her arms out to Ellie to help the little girl over the bed rail. "I'll get Ellie all clean, and let Avery snooze a bit longer before I clean him. And you can grab breakfast and maybe those carseats? Then we should be all set to go out shopping....oh! Maybe see if you can get a bag to carry the kids things in for today?" No need to outright say diaper bag just yet....but the way these two had been going, she didn't want to be caught out and about without a few extra diapers and wipes.
  18. Ravio froze the instant she cleared her throat, already knowing what she was going to say. Of course, she would. Wasn't that always the solution? Heavy duty protection? Happened in every little's warning tale, it rarely stopped at just training pants. Any other little would do the sane thing and politely refuse, wait for Claire to leave and then run as far as he could. But...but Claire was....Claire. She had had the perfect chance to plop him in diapers earlier today, and no one would have said a single thing against her. After all, he had the accident, he'd proved he wasn't mature- "I...." Ravio shrunk back, hands vanishing further into his sleeves so he could fiddle with them. "...Can....Can I think about it first? Is that okay?"
  19. Ivy yawned with a nod, rolling on to her feet. "I haven't seen you this excited since the kids learned how to ride their bikes on their own." She noted with a small smile. But she followed Jess onto Avery's room, only briefly pausing with a frown at Ellie's open door. Though her unspoken question was answered as soon as they peeked into their son's room. "Oh! Awww.....just look at them." She said in a hushed coo, holding a hand to her mouth. Avery might be a deep sleeper, but no need to disturb them just yet! "They haven't done this since Ellie started school..."
  20. "....Maybe." Ravio frowned, looking down at the ground as he took a seat. "...I'm sorry, you shouldn't have to worry about this, it's just a problem for you now to think about when you should be working." And her suggested plan got him worried too. Someone....maybe Veronica or...the worst case person might notice Claire's sudden interest in giving him reminders. Might make them wonder why he needed them. "...Um. But-um...thank you."
  21. "Hm?" Ivy yawned, sitting up with a stretch. "Is everything okay?" She asked, blinking herself into full awareness. Oof, early morning it seems, Jess had always been more of an early riser than she'd had. "Are the kids alright?" But Jess didn't seem worried....excited, really.
  22. Some of the tension in Ravio's stance clearly went away as Claire reinformed she still saw him an adult. Okay...okay. Maybe...maybe they could just move on from this. Just one awkward day. "Y-yeah." Ravio bit his lip, fiddling with his sleeve. "Just some weird fluke. Um...yeah, maybe it's just that." Claire didn't seem the type to believe in that maturosis BS, luckily. That was some top tier Amazon nonsense after all. He sighed, dropping his arm. "...Would you like a drink maybe?" He offered, ready once again to be polite. "Um-and...I...I don't know. I guess I need to be more aware. No getting too hyper focused and not....paying attention." Which meant he needed to start forcing himself to schedule bathroom breaks, he had to. Just beat his bladder that way.
  23. "We could get changing mats for their rooms and a changing table for the bathroom?" Ivy suggested, idly combing through her hair. "It's big enough for one, it's certainly big enough for us both to be in there for once with the two kids. I suppose they must design the houses here with that in mind. Then neither of them would feel out of place." She laid down as well, returning Jess's kiss with a smile. "I love you too, honey. It's...different, but hopefully it's good for all of us...." -- Avery mumbled something inaudible as his bed shifted, squirming down further in the covers. His eyes cracked open just a bit, blearily looking at the smaller figure. "Bad dream?" He yawned out, thumb slipping free from his mouth. He scooted over a bit, turning the blankets over so his little sister could crawl under them as well. He waited until she was all settled before dropping them back down, keeping them both nice and snug. "....'ts okay. Don't have to be scared." Because even with his voice thick and heavy with sleep haze, he would still do his best to reassure his baby sister. It was his job after all.
  24. "I'm sorry." Ravio frowned, his shoulders hunching at hearing the short staffed news. "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry. I didn't-I just caused a big problem for you and you're being really nice and you don't even have to and I'm sorry-" Okay. Okay, he's making an effort to cut off his sudden upset blabber of words. Stop it! Calm down, stupid! "I-" He exhaled, forcing himself to relax. "...No. No...no incidents. I just showered and then I did wash....it was very quiet otherwise."
  25. Ivy had Avery down pretty quickly, only observing to make sure their eldest brushed his teeth fully with the new toothbrush. Luckily the smaller size didn't seem to be a problem for him, the little boy brushing them just fine. Then it was a quick change once she had Avery back in his room, chattering away quietly to him. Luckily Avery had always been an easy sleeper, even as a baby. Deep sleeper though...which meant he hadn't had many dry nights until just before he started school. So she had her doubts about no nighttime diapers even if he did manage to recover his daytime training. "Night, night, Avery." She murmured, kissing the boy on the forehead once she had the rails up, only getting a sleepy smile from Avery. She did make sure to tuck the little dog stuffie on the side of the bed in case he did later want comfort. But once he was settled all in for the night, she exited his bedroom, only briefly checking in on Ellie. "Night, princess, I love you." Then finally back to their own room! What a long day, hm? "We definently might need to grab a changing pad tomorrow." Ivy noted, beginning to get into her own PJs. "But Avery is down for the night, he was out like a light before I even left the room."
