This one is awesome!  They do have to strip WIRES hehehehee ;)

I also have fond memories of my Grampa Baker having a sign board like that, and when the grandchildren were there, and expressed a desire to help with changing the letters on it, we would help grampa do that.  I also learned that what we call "upper case" and "lower case" letters was that way because printers would have one set of letters in a box (case):  The Capital Letters would be on the upper shelf of the shop, while the Lower Case letters were on a Lower shelf than the Bigger letters.  Grampa made this compartmentalized box for storage of 26 letters for the Capital Letters, and another 26 for the storage of the small letters, and then 10 boxes in that, for all the Numbers.  there were also spaces for periods, commas, exclamation points, etc.

That's How we came to call Upper and Lower Case Letters as we do, because 2 sets of letters had their own cases, on Upper or Lower Shelves :)
