this is a picture that was taken on June 10th 2023. My brother's basement where they have a hose down there and they're pumping out water from a sump pump. It looks like there is at least 4 feet of water down there, and there could be more or less. Unfortunately, the sump pump that was there malfunctioned and another one had to be obtained in order to pump the rest of the water out of the basement, another building at my stop mum owns was flooded out so I don't know exactly if there was any further damage other than that but I'm lucky that I was ok and that everyone else seems to be ok, but they may be displaced. I've always said that it is important that we consider that things can be replaced, but lives cannot. God watches over all of us, and he knows when we can handle a situation and when it is too much, but sometimes I think he gives us a challenge because he knows that we can handle it, and he won't give us something that he doesn't think we can handle, but sometimes I think some of these challenges are a little too much if they happen in rapid succession. Luckily we've been doing this for a long time so we know how to do it, but it does bring everything back into focus when you realize the things that you have, and how fast they can go when you don't expect it, and  the most important thing Is that no lives were lost that I am aware of during this storm.
