Aurora Borealis, Aka Northern Lights To Be Viewable In The Mid-Atlantic Tonight

The Aurora Borealis is expected to be viewable tonight in the Mid-Atlantic around 8:00 PM and could be viewable for several hours after that. If you've never seen the Aurora, it is a fantastic natural phenomenon that involves solar particles hitting the atmosphere and creating a tapestry of colors and shapes that are simply out of this world. I am so excited!

This is cool! :thumbsup: I have been to Alaska several times but have yet to witness this :( and I can't see anything over here because it's not here! :crybaby: and 'sides, it's all cloudy and icky and stuff.

If you have the opportunity to see this go for it, because it's not something that happens regularly and can be a real treat....

I'll try and catch it sometime on a future cruise in Alaska.. :glare:

It's one of my bucket list items. I've dreamed up vacations to Alaska to see it, but tonight it's going to be on my doorstep. I'm just gonna find somewhere dark to go see it.
