If you've never seen the Aurora, it is a fantastic natural phenomenon that involves solar particles hitting the atmosphere and creating a tapestry of colors and shapes that are simply out of this world. I am so excited! -warpiper
square_duck Posted April 13, 2013 Posted April 13, 2013 This is cool! I have been to Alaska several times but have yet to witness this and I can't see anything over here because it's not here! and 'sides, it's all cloudy and icky and stuff. If you have the opportunity to see this go for it, because it's not something that happens regularly and can be a real treat.... I'll try and catch it sometime on a future cruise in Alaska..
warpiper Posted April 13, 2013 Author Posted April 13, 2013 It's one of my bucket list items. I've dreamed up vacations to Alaska to see it, but tonight it's going to be on my doorstep. I'm just gonna find somewhere dark to go see it.
