I know most people tend to sleep a lot when they're sick. I'm usually the opposite. Especially with colds. I started getting really a few days ago and I'm relatively sure I haven't slept since. I think it's been about 72 hours awake. I say I think I haven't slept because I have spent a lot of time in bed with my eyes closed but am fairly certain coughing, not being able to breathe, or just generally not feeling good kept sleep at bay. I may have nodded off for less than an hour a couple of times but no "real" sleep.
Anyway, all of this is to say it's amazing how not tired I feel. It's like the sick is covering up any normal feeling of tiredness I would have. The longest I ever went like this with no real sleep because of being sick was when I had a really bad flu a few years back and was sick for a couple weeks and mostly didn't sleep for that whole time.
Right now I am more concerned with just not feeling sick anymore rather than sleeping.

You're lucky, if I sleep, the clown will eat me. Something that works for me when I have a bad cold is jegermeister, or some brandy. If it doesn't make you feel better, it should at least knock you out. Most cough syrups have more alcohol than those anyway. Good luck, and try and get some rest.

Reading my post back it's way more rambling that I thought at the time I was writing it.

Meh, I ramble a lot, it's fun sometimes.Reading my post back it's way more rambling that I thought at the time I was writing it.
One cannot expect to ever be accepted until one accepts others for who they are.
One cannot expect respect until one respects other people's choices.
Everyone deserves freedom, it's just logical.
