Broken hearts
tears silently fall
trying to make sense
of it all

When I heard the news
I wanted to run to you
even though I knew
I could not ease your pain
~
No words I could say
could ever bring him back to you
all I simply want to do
is help you make it through
~
As your world comes crashing down
I'll be there for you
lending my strength
lending my love
to lean on
~
Someone who'll be there to pray
to walk with you all the way
and when the tears fall again
to wipe them away
~
Your heart breaks
mine does for you
there doesn't seem to be
anything in this that's good
~
But we have a God
who shares our pain
who'll hold us close
to Him when we pray
~
I just want to be the light
shining by your side
as you feel His loving arms
hold you close and ever so tight
~
Let your faith
be your guide now
let His love wash over you
even as you feel so weak
your knees hit the ground
~
Dear Lord
let your grace pour out
help us feel your love
even in the darkness
we find ourselves in now...
