How long does it take to get pacifier dependent?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys! So I just got my new pacifier in today and I LOVE it so far. The only problem is I can't seem to get a good suck on it. The nipple is made out of silicone. Anyway, does it just take time for my mouth to get used to it or am I doing something wrong, how long does it take for me to become pacifier dependent? If you guys have any tips I would greatly appreciate it.

Congrats on your pacifier arriving

What do you mean you can't get a good suck on it?

Will when it's in my mouth I have it in there and everything but sucking on it doesn't come naturally to me.

Maybe it'll just take getting used to

Yeah, you're probably right, it's probably just something I'll have to get used to. And I probably do look very cute with my new paci in my mouth. I actually want to get more pacis and start a pacifier collection.

I sent you some paci tips hope they help you out! I think pacifiers are secretly the best thing to combat anxiety, they are called pacifiers for a reason! It should be suggested by doctors instead of pills… good luck baby!

How long does it take to become addicted to pacifiers:

I think it depends on how much you use it. I've been sleeping with a pacifier most nights for a few years now. Not every night, but 1-2 to 7 nights a week. I still don't depend on a pacifier to sleep most nights. Some nights I can't fall asleep without a pacifier in my mouth. Other nights I can't sleep with a pacifier in my mouth.

But I have days and nights when I really long for or need a pacifier to suck on if I have a panic attack, anxiety or feel sad, alone or little.
