The young boy promptly withdrew his thumb from his mouth, even though the nanny promptly observed that it was moist. However, she refrained from mentioning it in order to avoid causing any discomfort to the little boy. "I am fine," he uttered as he settled down and embraced his plush koala. Feeling a tad weary, he allowed himself to be gently placed on his mother's lap.

Lydia gently pulled her boy on her lap and cuddled him close. "All is okay." She soothed and gently stroked his hair out of his face. "Why did you not tell me? I could have gone to the teacher if they did not want to listen to you. That is what a mommy is for." She gently told him.

"Maybe he felt embarrassed," the nanny told Lydia, "and, besides, this is a very common approach for Goran, especially towards boys in public schools. I read in an article that about 70% of public schools apply this, and private schools are all exclusively for girls, so they don't even admit boys," explained the nanny as the child rested his head on his mother's shoulder.

"Probably." Lydia agreed after a moment.

It did not take long before Stephanie came back, dragging in two large bags. "Who knew there was so much choice." She hummed. "Everything okay in here?"

"Looks like it," said the nanny as she approached Stephanie to help with the bags. "I hope you found everything," she said as she escorted her to the child's bedroom. Then, she took out a package of diapers and a pack of wipes from the bags, along with a box containing a tube of cream, and placed them on the bed next to the child. Before opening the diaper package, she took one in her hand and offered it to the two women.

"So, who wants to put the first diaper on this little boy?" she asked with a very sweet smile

"I believe I found everything." Stephanie agreed. She had even found a footed sleeper with little koalas she knew Anthony would love.

"I think that would be me." Lydia agreed, taking the diaper from Alexandra. "Let's go upstairs, love." She told Anthony and then turned him so the boy was straddling her hip and carried him upstairs.

The baby whimpered upon seeing the diaper with infantile prints before being picked up by his mother and carried to his room. There, he allowed himself to be laid down on the bed, whimpering slightly as he was placed on it. He wasn't at all thrilled about being put in a diaper, while Nanny Alexandra unwrapped a pacifier and handed it to Stephanie.

"Everything will be okay." Lydia gently soothed as she put Anthony down on the bed. There she proceeded to undo his trousers and underwear. Then she unfolded the diaper and got it under the boys bum. She applied a generous amount of powder before taping the diaper closed. "All done." She announced after she ran her fingers along the leg holes to make sure that sat comfortable.

"What a brave little boy." Stephanie praised and gave him the dummy, gently parting his hair.

The baby whimpered as the mom began undressing him, and squirmed as she started cleaning him with the wipes before being lifted by the ankles, allowing the mom to place the diaper under his bottom and dust him with powder before securing and sealing it with the tabs.

"Yes he has been very good," the nanny said as Stephanie picked him up.

Stephanie picked Anthony up and sat down with him after she took the footed sleeper. "Look at this, Anthony." She gently prompted, showing him the cute koalas. "You want to wear this?" She gently asked.

Lydia then came to offer one of his normal PJ's to give the boy a choice.

The young boy examined both the pajamas and, after a brief moment of contemplation, he gestured towards the pajamas in Lydia's hands, which were adorned with truck prints. "Perhaps it would be wise to take things one step at a time," nanny Alexandra suggested, as the little boy leaned his head against his mother's shoulder.

"Yes. Good choice." Lydia gently said and helped the boy getting dressed in his PJ's. "All done." She softly said, letting him sit on Stephanie's lap. "Then what do you suggest we do next?" Lydia asked the nanny.

The young child let out a yawn while resting on Stephanie's lap. "Seems like someone is getting a little tired," the nanny said, smiling warmly. "How about a short nap followed by a walk in the park? It's such a beautiful day, it would be a shame to stay indoors, but before get out I would have to give you the new rules,"  nanny Alexandra said to the two women.

"That sounds like a lovely idea." Lydia agreed. Stephany nodded and gently went to tuck in Anthony.

"Sleep tight, sweetheart." Stephanie tucked him in and patted his head.

Antony drifted off to sleep swiftly as his mom covered him and tenderly caressed his blond hair, soothing him with the pacifier she had given him. Meanwhile, Nanny Alexandra and Lydia engaged in conversation in the living room, anticipating Lydia's return.

"Then...the items on the list are essential, but there are other things that could be beneficial for you: a crib, a changing table, a high chair, and other things," the nanny conveyed to the two women, counting them on her fingers. "However, there's no rush. We could acquire them next week, allowing the little boy some time to adjust to the changes we've made in his lifestyle," she explained to the women.

Lydia nodded. "yes, we can turn his desk in a changing table, but to buy a whole new crib?" She mused. "I am sure I have the old safety railing laying about in the attic we can reinstall."

"If we have to go feed him bottles we will have to have a big nursing chair." Stephanie thought fully said. "Do we also need to baby proof the cabinets?"

"Oh! If the issue is economic, you don't have to worry," the nanny reassured gently. "There are shops that, in exchange for a small deposit, provide those furniture items on a loan basis," she explained kindly. "They are second-hand but always in excellent condition. maybe there are one next here, " the nanny assured them.

"I am not sure if I want that either." Lydia mused. "Let's see how this goes first."

Stephanie nodded. "Maybe it will also be good for him accepting the change, not going too quickly. You knew how he acted all in the the beginning."

"If you prefer, we can even wait for two or three weeks," she suggested, attempting to clarify the misunderstanding by gesturing with her hands. "I just wanted to inform you about this option, but I don't want to rush either you or the little boy," the woman said kindly, smiling.

"I think taking small steps will be the right way to go. Like the safeguard on the bed, we can do that before tonight. The shopping for other things will need to wait for the weekend or up owning holiday." Lydia said.

"Let's first see how Anthony feels once he awakens from his nap. I guess someone will not be very happy when he notices the diaper." Stephanie added.

"Of course, I agree," the nanny said kindly. "Obviously, we'll organize everything based on the child's behavior and adaptation pace, but taking a look at things shouldn't hurt."

"Probably!" the nanny replied to Stephanie, seeing her let out a small sigh.

"Mmh! Perhaps if you show me the room, I could bring the suitcase inside. While I unpack, you can take advantage of that moment of privacy to relax a bit," suggested the nanny to the two women. "It must have been a tiring day for you as well after all," she said very kindly to both of them.

"That sounds like a very good idea." Lydia agreed and came to help with the suitcase before leading the nanny to the bedroom at the end of the upstairs hall. "I hope it will be sufficient? If there is anything else you need, please le me know." Lydia offered.

The nanny graciously accepted Lydia's help with her suitcase, expressing her appreciation by stating "it's perfect and ok!" after inspecting the room provided by the two women. As the two women returned to the living room, she proceeded to unpack her belongings. Upon completion, she retrieved her PC, powered it on, and launched a word processing software to transcribe the notes taken during the conversation with the women. This was done to compile a report on the ongoing case. She made note of key considerations and reminders for asking essential questions to conduct a thorough and precise evaluation of the situation.
