Of Dorms and Diapers (Private)

[Lavellan]

"I know how to wash my hands." Max sighed as he walked towards the sink. They were raised higher for the average college student so it was a bit awkward to reach the faucet, but he was well practiced in reaching things taller than him. He had to most times.

Kyle walked up behind the little boy and reached out to adjust the water “it’s not exactly at you’re level is it little one. We might have to get you a step stool sweetheart”

[Lavellan]

Max huffed in annoyance, soaping his hands up and rinsing them in silence. "Let's go back before someone sees me." He demands.

Kyle holds out his hand but didn’t move  “are you asking or telling little boy?”

[Lavellan]

"...asking." Max mumbled, blushing.

Kyle nodded “that’s what I thought, there’s a good boy” he held out his hand and waited for Max to take it 

[Lavellan]

Max took it immediately, more concerned with leaving than his dignity. "C'mon. Let's go!...please." He added quickly as an afterthought.

Kyle nodded and led Max out of the bathroom. He walked the short distance to their room and paused “ok buddy, can you remember what you need to do before you enter the room”

[Lavellan]

Without a word, Max kicked the slides off. He paused to place them beside each other by the door. "There."

Kyle nodded “that’s a good boy” he opened the door then released Max’s hand “ how about you take a little rest while I clean up around here”

[Lavellan]

Max didn't need to be told twice as he stepped into the room and went towards his bed. He removed the bag of kid clothes and his own worn out clothes and placed them on top of his other boxes before climbing up. The day had already held so much emotion, not to mention the labor of carrying his own boxes to the dorm room. "Try to keep it down please." He asked, curling up under the blanket.

Kyle nodded “of course kiddo” he walked over to max and tucked the blanket around him the. Set to work sorting though the clothes and putting them away. He took the opportunity to throw away all of the socks and underwear max brought before cleaning the room and putting things away.

 

 

[Lavellan]

Despite his warning, Max was actually a pretty heavy sleeper. He had to be in a house with so many younger siblings running around. Pretty soon though, he started to wake up, shifting and kicking the blankets away while rubbing his eyes.

Kyle smiled as the sleepy little boy “bet there’s little guy, did you have a good nap”

[Lavellan]

"Mhm." Max nodded slowly. As he looked around the room. "Looks good in here."

Kyle “thanks little buddy, I was thinking we could go get lunch. Are you hungry kiddo”

I’m guessing this story is dead, or has been abandoned?? Such a shame!!
