Julie sat down on the very back of the rug and as soon as Miss Wang started strumming the guitar Julie shoves a finger into each ear and then covers them up, she buries her head into her knees and starts crying. Music really hurts her ears no matter what song or what instrument is playing.

(I’m having Julie have really sensitive hearing and any loud noises hurt her ears. Being so close to all the kids who are singing out of tune, the guitar and Miss Wang singing is overwhelming to her. I’m having her sensitive hearing being one of the reasons she doesn’t want to interact with other kids, since they are too loud for her and hurt her ears.)
