Tu-lak was waiting at the edge of the ancient grove of trees on a planet that was three systems away from the Solar system that the Earth was on, and so it was within the Milky-Way.  As to why the humans had not found life on this planet before now, the world had its secrets, some of which the Sylvan folk were now finally willing to share with humans by doing an exchange with them.  They sent a 60 year old girl to live with some dignitaries, but they warned the humans that she would have to be watched carefully, and that they were only allowing this because she had no other family.

The 60 year old girl was, in elf years, the same as a six year old child.  She had just very basic understanding of even her own language, so the language of the humans was still a work in progress for her.  Her body would be fully the size and shape of a human adult, but her brain and ability to actually control her body would be no better than an eight year old.

That was not really that important for this story though, because in this story, the man that waited at the edge of a forest, waited or a similar exchange of human blood.  Just as the humans did not realize that sixty years old was the same as six to the elves, the elves also did not realize that 35 years old was not the same as a nearly four year old.

They imagined a girl in a full grown body, for elves' bodies did grow at the same rate as humans, but that this body would still be wearing diapers and that the child would need to be taken to the potty every three hours, in which, they would not be disappointed in that, because one hour to a Sylvan folk was the same as 300 minutes!  What human could go fifteen hours without using the bathroom, all the time?  No many could do that regardless of gender and age.

Tu-lak was taking this human girl to his master, Erodryn of Tu-lakkia, a great madam of the nobles.  She was over 450 years of age, and her husband was a great person of importance in the royal council as well as a great arcane craftsman.  He had been promising her something to occupy her time with because she was unable to have children naturally.  Something had interfered with her life energy when she was young, so there was no source to make a new energy from.

Du-katt, her husband, had been patient in dealing with her depression and her pets as she tried to replace having a child, but nothing worked.  Of course, he could have adopted, but adopting among the Sylvan folk is a tricky business at best.  It just never really works....

There is an old saying on Earth: 'Cannot see the woods from the trees'.

It described getting preoccupied with the details of a thing and therefore missing the bigger picture.

That aptly described Humanity's outlook on the morning the first signal from an alien intelligent form of life was received. An arsenal of telescopes scanned distant stars, unmanned satellites were flung towards distant but promising systems in hope of tasting oxygen rich atmosphere. And yet the first sign of a habitable planet other than Earth was detected just 3 systems away by an amateur astronomy club.

Gradually more and more telescopes fixed on the source of the signal. It was instantly recognised why the planet had been missed in those early  days space photography. There was nothing there. No light anyway, nothing to reflect the rays of the near by star. Further analysis indicated there was a gravity well there. Which meant, according to Physicists something was indeed there.

 Dark Matter...

The words caught the imagination of the scientific community and the public at large.

Properly referred to as antimatter, it was a theoretical particle used in contemporary physics to 'fill in the gaps' when it came to explaining why the universe appeared to contain more energy than Matter and why the universe appeared to be continually expanding rather than cooling down into entropy.

Essentially it seemed like the mysterious planet was cloaked in Dark Matter. An entire fleet of surveillance craft were sent to orbit the site and carry out detailed analysis. The data seemed to confirm the original theory. There was nothing physically at the sight, nothing to look at, nothing listen to, nothing that emitted any heat, just a gravitational pull of a magnitude which suggested something consistent with a solid planet. Orbiting site revealed it cast a shadow of sorts, or rather than the light and energy of the local star was not passing straight thought the seemingly empty space.

Frustrated that their efforts had not yielded any concrete results, a UN Council committee approved the launch of an unmanned probe into the 'entity'. It picked up energy fluctuations approaching the threshold and then ceased communication.

The worst case scenario theory was that it had reacted with the Antimatter and effectively phased out of existence.

A few days later the probe was detected in orbit near the threshold. It bore a message. The message came from sentient beings beyond the veil of darkness. They wanted to meet the people outside. A cultural exchange was proposed.

....

Tora Gehl stared up in awe at the gargantuan tree line before the landing site of her single person shuttle. She couldn't see the wood from the trees. She paced around the trunk of the nearest tree, comparing it to a redwood in the forests of North America and wondered just how ancient the alien tree must me. For a daunting moment she wondered her hosts, the Sylvan Folk might also be giants? She was pleased that the one waiting for her appeared to be of similar height a build to a human.

"Hello." She stated simply with a friendly and enthusiastic smile, decoupling her flight helmet to reveal  wavy raven coloured hair beneath. "My name is Tora." A cheeky side of herself wanted to add 'we come in peace' but her ability to speak the alien tongue was very limited, the language was complicated, it took supercomputers to break down and translate the original message. Little did either side realise that the machines had translated the message overly literally, it had measured by atomic time, not factoring that daylight cycles were different between the planets. Tora had no idea that in the eyes if the person she had just met, she was only three and half years old.

"Tu-lak", Tora repeated after learning the name of her guide. He corrected her pronunciation but seemed pleased by her efforts. For her part Tora was amazed and relieved at how human-like her host seemed. She could barely talk to him and yet he seemed to understand her intentions and was friendly towards her. She knew it would be quite a long time until she was fluent enough to discuss Sylvan Folk culture in detail but she was feeling optimistic. It was privilege to be invited her even simply as a semi mute observer.

Tora thought she was an explorer, or perhaps even an ambassador. She had no idea she was to offered as a adoptive child to the wife of an important figure in a staged political move. She couldn't see the woods from the trees.

Tu-lak smiled up on seeing her, his eyes squinting with emotional intent.  It looked much like the reaction a human gives to a kitten that has just come to trust you enough to climb up your leg and sit in your lap.

He spoke a sting of words that were very fluid and almost musical, but among them, she could only guess at some hints of what was said here and there.

"Tu-lak.  Sylvanesti.  Underdark.  Trip.  Home."

The man reached out for her hand.  His hand was so slender, that she could have mistaken him for a woman in the way he was built.  Elves were a graceful, slender lot, whose hard working men, even had slender dainty hands, though under that appearance, there was a strength that rivaled the strongest of men even among the weakest of the elves.

"Erodryn of Tu-lakkia.  see you.  delight."

Those were the only words she could pick out in the melodious string of words that went on and on.  It seemed that it took more than twice as many words for a Sylvanesti to say something than for a human to say something.  Was there a reason for that?

The guide insisted on holding her hand.  He said the word "danger" once or twice while he tried to tell her why in his string of music.  Why did it seem to take so long for him to say something?

As they walked into the shadows of the Underdark, a shimmering seemed to wobble the world weirdly, as though someone had touched the surface of a lake, and the reflection within wobbled, but then they came out on a path with a wagon waiting by the side of the road with four other fellows around it.  Two of them had horses, but like the horses at home, but yet, different some how, though it was hard to see just by observation, just what was different.  Two horses were hooked up to the wagon, and a rider and a shotgun sat a top.

Tu-lak pulled a door to the carriage open, and gestured for her to climb in.

Inside this carriage, there were actually three bench seats, where one was against the front of the carriage, one was against the back, and there was a middle bench, and so up to six people could ride inside this thing.

Tu-luk sat at the bench closest to the front.

He smiled and pulled out a strap of sorts and buckled himself in.  It looked just like a seatbelt for a car!

The bench she would sit in, would have a similar 'car seatbelt.'

The wagon didn't start traveling until she had put on her belt, though Tu-lak didn't seem to think he needed to talk to the front, or at least from what she could see.

As they traveled for some time, more than a couple of hours of Earth time, the poor human girl's bladder started to pester her about finding some place soon.  Too bad she didn't learn the word for toilet, pee, or anything like that to communicate her needs in the Sylvan language.

"Hehehuh! Look at us, holding hands on the first date." Tora giggled whimsically to herself in her own language. Truthfully she was a little nervous. She had been warned by advisors when prepping for this mission that she should be ready for unexpected behaviour from her hosts. Certainly had Tu-lak been some random bloke at a nightclub she would have been offended at his precociousness but here she would understood after a little bit of trying to wriggle away, that this was for her own guidance. There was danger somewhere.

Naturally Tora's eyes darted around the forest looking for some sign of a huge ravenous animal. What would happen if it found them? Would Tu-lak protect them? His grip was certainly strong for a slender man. Tora herself had no weapons on her person. Carrying an Earth firearm to an alien culture had been expressively ruled out by the UNE Security Council. And besides, Tora had never taken firearms training.

While Tora pondered these things and her chaperone kept a vigilant eye out for an unknown danger, the shadows of the forest grew. Tora noticed this after a while and realised it wasn't simply that there were venturing deeper into a darkening forest but instead that there was more shadows than there should be. The spaces between the trees were filling with shadows. Darker and darker. Tora dragged a little at Tu-lak's arm. If sometimes menacing did stalk the woods, she was sure it would be here.

Suddenly all the trees faded into darkness. In front of her nose was darkness and Tu-lak lead them forward. Tora thought of her experience as like that of Alice falling through the looking glass. She felt all of her senses fall out of equilibrium and then suddenly she felt her boots on ground again, air in her lungs and a completely new environment greet her staring eyes.

Tora gasped for air and was visibly shaken for a moment.

"Was that dark matter? Like the stuff hiding the planet?" She asked of Tu-lak, who drew a blank at her English. She tried again in his language, mustering as best as she could the many sweet syllables of his words. "Black sky. No... Black air. Um?.." What had he said earlier? She hadn't really understood it. "Underdark gone."

Tora took note that they weren't alone. "Hello. My name is Tora Ghel." She greeted the spontaneously appearing newcomers surrounding the wagon. Or perhaps she and Tu-lak had just spontaneously appeared before them?

Buckling her 'car seat belt' had come very easily to Tora. It was fortune that Sylvan Folk had a similar sense of ergonomics to her own people. She had sat herself opposite Tu-lak so that they could talk to one another but that didn't really pan out. Not to matter, she had an alien landscape to peer out upon and keep her entertained and did, for the first couple of hours.

"How long is this journey going to take?" Tora asked when she first felt a twinge from her bladder. It was hard not to try speaking in her own language first but as she tried to think of the Sylvan words she realised she had no idea how she was going to ask about using the toilet. She mentally winced. How stupid of her. What an oversight on the part of the people responsible for prepping her. She knew how to say 'hello. My name is Tora Ghel.' But she had no idea how to ask were to bathroom was.

She sat a fumed at her situation for a while but as the time ticked by her need just got worse. Shed started to physically fidget.

"Are we nearly there yet?"

Tora started to groan quietly as her bladder started to ache. Would 'there' have a toilet?

She tried to hold it longer but after a while she feared she was genuinely going to wet herself.

"Stop. Tu-lak, please stop. Tell them stop. I want to get out."

Would getting out and urinating in public or behind a bush cause a huge diplomatic scene? It was definitely not something she wanted to be remembered for but what other choice did she have? She wasn't going to simply wet the pants of her form fitting flight suit underlay. The garment was sometimes referred to as body dock due to its snug fit, it was also a bit like s baby's onsie.

Tu-lak shook his head about her getting out.  There was no way he could stop here, on the road, not because it was bad in their culture to go behind a tree, but because she was a foreigner in their land, and their world, and didn't know about the dangers.  She had no sense of danger awareness for what could be out there.

"You stay." he told her.  He told her about other dangers that might be out there, but since the Earth's people had long ago stopped believing such creatures existed, there were no mention of these kinds of things in her briefing.  She was only told that the world was a little more hostile and a little more wild than that of the Earth.

He smiled at her.

"Home.  Soon."

For him, soon meant about another 8 hours of Earth time, for the trip was two Sylvan hours from where they caught the carriage.

He was very observant, and knew she was fidgeting.  She was not acting as much like a three year old as he expected, but the way she fidgeted, still made him think of her as a small child.  Her fidgeting grew very quickly, for him, and she had tears in her eyes.  She must be a very bright thirty-five year old to realize that she didn't want to pee in her pants, but there was no way, they would stop for a child under the age of eighty anyway, even a sylvan child, and even ninety year old and 100 year old children would be found wetting their pants if they were traveling between cities, and it took long enough.  That was just he Sylvan way, and they never scolded the children for it, though the children did start to fidget and look sad about wetting themselves by the time they were sixty years old.

He tried to coo at her that it was okay, and it wasn't her fault if she wet her clothes, he was sure she didn't really know what he was saying....

Another hour pasted, and the situation was getting worse.

Tora had devoted all of her energies and attention towards holding herself. The result was that she was now breathing heavily and that every bump in the road sent a jolt through the cushioned sheet which threatened to unsaddle her concentration.

She didn't understand why the journey was taking soo very long. Everything about the Sylvan seemed to be leisurely paced, as of they had all the time in the world. By comparison Tora must have seemed jittery and spontaneous in all her actions.

Another jolt in the carriage. Why didn't these people have tarmac roads, rubber tires and suspension?

As the magnificent city of the Sylvan Folk came into few on the horizon. Tora felt a hot spurt escape into the crotch of her garment. Before she knew it she had lost control and was peeing heavily all down her legs. Wetness pooled on the seat beneath her and dripped down into the timbers of the carriage floor.

Tora was flustered and red with humiliation. She couldn't believe this had happened to her. She unbuckled herself and stood up to get out of her saturated seat but it didn't change the fact that her under suit was wet and sticking to her legs.

Tora realised there was no where she could go. No where to hide her shame. She didn't even have a change of clothes with her. Space was limited on her spacecraft and the Sylvan Folk had offered to take care of all of her needs.

So she was stuck with wet pants then? Sulkily she sat down on the third bench. "What am I going to do about this?"

Tu-lak smiled when he saw her stand up all embarrassed and move to the third seat away from the puddle she had made.  She was just like a little kid on a trip.  Maybe she acted a little more like a fifty or sixty year old, but he would have to check the records to make sure.  He didn't really know that humans aged differently from his kind.  The thought had crossed his mind once or twice, but here this girl was, not even able to hold it an hour or so before wetting herself, so maybe she was the child his kind thought she was.

He got up from where he was, and joined her at the bench she was now sitting at, and he pulled her closer to him patting her shoulder, as if trying to calm her like you would a small child that had just embarrassed herself for the first time after being potty trained, because of a long trip.

Though she had no idea of what he was talking about, he offered his words of comfort anyway as he pulled her, fairly strongly, towards himself, pulling her face into his chest as he whispered.

"It's okay, honey.  Accidents can happen on long trips, and it's better you have an accident, than you take a chance out there in those dark scary woods."

He rubbed her back.

"We'll get you cleaned up as soon as you meet your host mother, sweetie.  I'm sure she'll be more than happy to clean you up and get you all comfortable again.  There is no reason to cry or to be embarrassed.  This kind of thing happens to kids even older than yourself, sweetie."

His words may not have made sense to her, but his actions, of rocking her, rubbing her back, and trying to keep her face near his chest as he calmly spoke just above a whisper were things you do either with a child, or with someone you care about and you are trying to calm them.

The carriage rolled up to the gate of the city, which was something like the old forts of the west in then 1800s in America, but the walls were actually built onto the giant redwoods, and the gate, had a double door that opened outward from the tree that it used as a post.

Inside the walled fort was a huge bustling city, that looked a little more modern than the Old West, but still, there were no cars or Engine propelled vehicles.  Everywhere, you saw wagons.  Some wagons and carriages were unhooked from the horses while others were fit with the horses.  Very few of the horses were actually ridden directly, but were basically pulling something.

Their carriage went through the city center, where the store, as it were, was more like an open market with a lot of different people selling different things at their own little kiosk-like picnic blanket covered stalls.

The carriage went through all of that, and up towards a very large mansion, one of just four, that were just in front of the main lord's keep.

Tu-lak kept hold of her because he knew she wouldn't understand that she had to wait for someone from the house to come and get her.

After what seemed like half an hour to her, a lady dressed in white with silver and gold lines in horizontal fashion delicately fashioned the beautiful garment she wore.  The white of this gown was more white, more lustrous than any white that was ever seen on the Earth.

"Lady Erodryn of Tu-lakkia, Presenting herself for the reception of the child," someone said from outside the carriage before the door was opened by one of the guards that had accompanied it.  Of course, they said it in their own language.

The lady walked right up to the girl and smiled.  She reached out her hands towards the wet shy little girl, and bent down slightly, for she was a little taller than the girl, and she said to her: "My name is Erodryn of Tu-lakkia."

Tora was reluctant to helped of the carriage but she understood they had finally arrived at there destination and she was expected to meet someone. Presumably someone important. She didn't know if it was worse to be seen with wet clothes or to refuse the audience. What she wanted to do was postpone this engagement, instead going to someplace quiet where she could get cleaned up and otherwise hide away until she felt better again. Tu-lak clearly thought  differently and insisted she exit the wagon

It was immediately obvious whom Tora was supposed to be meeting, the woman wore a stunning dress of a white so bright it seemed to shine just as much as the gold thread in the gown. Tora didn't consider herself much of a girly girl but she admired feminine beauty all the same.

Such beauty made Tora feel wretched in her soiled space traveller's clothes and she was feeling belittled by her embarrassing accident. Nevertheless she attempted to muster some diplomatic decorum and respond to Erodryn's greeting.

"Greetings from Earth. My name is Tora Ghel. Its nice to meet you."

Tora was subsequently invited into the mansion by her host. It was uncomfortable to walk down the splendid galleries as legs felt cold now and chaffed, however she still felt awed by her surrounded. She thought the mansion was on par with any palace on Earth.

"Would I be able to wash a change into some fresh cloths?" She asked hopefully, aware Erodryn wouldn't understand her but also unaware that the Sylvan lady had the same things her mind.

Lady Erodryn smiled and nodded at her though she didn't understand her words.  She was a child that had peed her pants.  Of course, there only one likely thing she was saying, besides what her name was.  She was telling her that she peed her pants, and was hoping that the lady had thought to have something for her to change into.  Though she didn't quite understand what a girl her age was doing on a long trip without diapers on.  Of course she would pee her pants.  She was only around three or four, after all, 3.5 decades.

"Don't you worry about the little mess, sweetie," she said to the child.  "The cart is easily cleaned up, and what is important, is that you are safe."

She looked over at the school mistress who would be in charge of her education.

"Du Lie'ess An," she said to the child.  "Tu-lakkian and Sylvanesti educator."

She said the words as simply as she could, but in the end, even just these broken phrases, had taken ten or more extra sounds to say.  indeed, it was probably easier for the Sylvanesti to learn the human language than for the girl to learn theirs, but the human language was not precise.  It lacked many enunciations for showing respect for authority, for showing familiarity with family, for indicating who was more important in the communication that was being had, for indicating whether the subject or the object person was more important in a sentence, and so many other important devices.  The Sylvanesti may never catch the subtle uses of how the English language uses its own forms of level of speech for it does not have words near it to help them like their own language, but they would be able to say words that actually made sense.

The person to be her kindergarten teacher step forward and spoke in English.

"I, Du Lie'ess An, you new teacher be.  The Lady Erodryn for you invite for clean up and supper."

She smiled at the little girl.

"Follow."

The teacher then took her place just behind the lady, and with two guards walking next to the lady Erodryn, the teacher just behind her with the little girl holding her hand, though in truth, this little girl was as tall as the teacher, and then four guards behind, they made their way into the lord's mansion.

When she was spoken to Tora patiently maintained eye contact, nodded if she understood something and listened as well as she was able but it was impossible not to feel uncomfortable and be reminded of her accident. Honestly it was a bit easier to just gauge facial expressions and gestures at this point. To her, Sylvanesti was like the Entish language of the Tree Shepheards in Lord of the Rings. Distractly she got the impression the Sylvan Folk might enjoy reading Tolkien. If ever she was to meet a people akin to the wood elves, it was certainly here. Of course that was mere conjecture, she hoped to find out what the Sylvan Folk were really like during her stay.

Tora was introduced to a woman she understood to be a tutor. That would certainly be useful, the intent was probably to assist and fast track her understanding of Sylvsnesti. Strangely, to Tora's mind, the tutor insisted on holding her hand as Tu-lak had. Perhaps it was a sort of custom? No one else seemed to be doing it but maybe it was only extended to guests? Tora took the offered hand just to be polite.

Their small procession to the mansion seemed very formal to Tora who had never really moved in the highest social circles before. Obviously her hosts were wealthy. The extravagant dress, regimented guards and lavish surrounds made her feel all the more wretched about her wet pants. Obviously the Sylvan Folk wanted to make an impression her, she feared she offered a poor one in return but at least her hosts were gracious. Maybe after getting cleaned up she could sort of start again?

They came to a room in which a bath of steaming water had already been poured by now withdrawn servants.

"Oh wow, thank you so much. A real hot bath! I've been restricted to micro showers with recycled water for months. We have to be strict about energy and resource consumption when traveling in space. There was like pages and pages of regulations I had to agree to agree too just for agreed limits on water consumption..." Tora stopped, releasing she was getting blank expressions. Obviously she was speaking too animatedly for the Sylvan Folk. "Thank you." She offered simply in their language as an abridged version.

Tora full unexpected to be left alone so she could undress and bathe herself but with quietening unease she realised she wasn't being left to herself.

The guard and extra help were all ushered out of the bathroom leaving but the tutor that she would be learning from, a couple of bathing attendants, and the lady Erodryn to watch.  The lady nodded at the bathers, and they started to feel around the strange onesie the girl had on, not understanding how it came undone for they had nothing like this in their world.  It didn't seem to open by magic, and there were no noticeable clasps that they used.

The bathers looked from the girl to Erodryn, and the lady just shrugged telling them to just rip it off of her.  It was wet anyway, and she would need new clothes, and more fitting clothes for her new station as a child in the noble house.

The bathers nodded and with an utterance of magic, caused the wet suit to fall apart in shredded pieces.  Under it, the elves shook their head at the strange human underclothes they put their three or four Tahs in.  Maybe if she were more like a 3 or 4 Cenra, then it would be fitting, but a 3 or 4 Tah did not need such exposing clothing.  They also noticed that her body was a little, well, too mature to pass as elven, so they fixed that too.

Now, magic cannot actually cause you to lose what you have, however, a reducing magic would make the chest a little less noticeable, and a light illusion over it would make it seem a little more like the 3 or 4 Tah children of the Sylvan kids.  Another small alteration spell, and the hair that was down around her privates had disappeared without any razor coming anywhere near her privates.

The bathers then directed her to step into the bath, and started to wash her hair....

From Tora's perspective the next few moments were traumatic.

At first the attendants poked and plucked at her spacesuit underlay. She resisted them slightly and was annoyed she couldn't explain to them where the zips and clasps were. It would have been handy undressing with attendants because the bodysuit was uncompromising tight, fitted specifically to her form like a glove in order to keep her warm and reduce misalignment of her muscle groups through tissue expansion in prolonged exposure to zero-G environment. For the last few months it had essentially been a second skin. Then suddenly it was in ribbons at her feet. Tora shrieked in alarm. The hi-tech suit had been laced with micro circuitry and nano-receptors to monitor her Kinesthetics. It was integral to her spacesuit. In a Tora tried to recall if there was a spare suit on her lander craft. Logically there should be. She hoped so, otherwise she might have no way home.

The phrase, 'as if by magic' floated in Tora's mind and receded again as more immediate concerns demanded her full attention. She her the support of her breasts suddenly give way and realised her bra had vanished into thin air. Her panties were gone.

"What is this? What's going on!" She whined at her murmuring assailants. She didn't understand. Was this simulation? Maybe an induced hallucination? One of those weird stress dreams in which you realise you're no wearing any clothes.

Tora's nightmare only got worse. One moment she was staring down at her bare breasts, wondering why her underwear was missing. The thing she knew she was flat chested!

She didn't feel the transformation happen. There was no pain or irksome feeling of her breast tissue reducing. It was more like reality had just been altered, as her chest had always been this was, although she knew over wise.

"What the fuck!" Tora yelled in astonishment. "What have you done to me. Why have you done this?"

Resistance was futile. Tora knew she had very little choice but to go along with the requests made of her, especially as it appeared the Sylvan Folk had reality warping abilities. She had felt a little superior at first, seeing the horses and carts as a sign of a less advanced people. Now she realised that technology wasn't everything. How little her people really knew of their universe.

During the bath itself Tora was a little more contrite. It was impossible not to feel more relaxed. The warm water enveloped her and a floral frequency hung in the air.

The attendants who washed her were invasive (they washed her all over) but gentle. In fact given the strength of Tu-lak's grip as she felt earlier, she realised they were being very gentle with her indeed. She wondered if it had something to do with the fact she now effectively looked like a tall child.

"I still don't really understand what you've done.. Or why, but I don't think you mean me any harm." She told them, looking at the Lady Erodryn. Tora was fairly sure she was missing some etiquette in addressing the noble women but she was definitely the person in charge and so the person Tora wanted to be on her side. If that meant she had to let the Lady and the tutour witness her being scrubbed and dried by a team of bath attendants, then so be it.

Bather "Hush, now, Little one," she said in Sylvan.

The bathers continued to wash her not leaving even one place to chance that she might know how to wash it, for to them, she was no more than a three year old is to a human.  They were careful when they washed her hair making sure no soap got anywhere near her eyes, and they washed her little toes and between them, around her ears, and even partly into her backside, not right up in there, but along the crack of it.

Bather "There now, that wasn't so bad, was it?" she said in Sylvan again.

Eventually, with the bath process nearly done, Erodryn stepped in and stopped the bathers.  After all, the little girl needed to get to know the person she should call Kaa-soh, so she felt like she had better take over dressing her.

The servants nodded and gave her space so she could do it.

As Erodryn started to try to slip the childish panties on, some panties that had pink prints of flowers, unicorns, and child sylvan girls on them, one of the bathing servants went over and whispered something while turning the panties around so that Erodryn could get them on right.

In the crotch of these particular Sylvan things, that did look very much like panties that a nine year old would wear at first glance, was the feel of a thick heavy padding.  At first, it might be hard to place where she had last felt something like that, but in time, she might come to realize it had the same bulk and feel of a regular diaper.  The only thing was, these things didn't have tapes to hold them together, but looked just like panties.  They didn't even look anything like a pull up that is used on Earth.  They were easy to confuse for regular panties at first glance.  It wasn't until they were on her, that she would recognize that the feel was not like panties, but much more like a baby diaper.  Not even a pull up one....

Once she had her panties on her, the three of them worked on getting something on her that was somewhat shaped like her space suit, but for the fact it was colorful like the rainbow, and it had a slit down the chest to the stomach for getting it on her, and then, it was sealed up, not with any snaps or clasps that she knew of, but simply with the noble lady moving her finger inches above the actual garment, and the cloth just seemed to close on itself, making it impossible for her to know how to get it undone.

After the onsie was in place, Erodryn finally started to slip a shirt on her and a skirt on her.  The shirt was a light blue one with pretty bows on the shoulders and around the back.  The skirt had lacey- frills along the bottom of it.

"Now, you are dressed as a royal Tah-ko." she said in Sylvan when the girl was finally stopped with the fussing over.

Tora's sense of protocol became further and further confused. She could understand that the Sylvan Folk seemed to have caste society with domestic servants. Thus she accepted that it was the role of the bathers to help her get washed. She didn't understand why the Lady of the House herself now insisted on helping her get dressed.

"Arn't these a bit childish?" Tora frowned, looking down at the patterned panties she was expected to step into.

She a tingle of humiliation as garment was pulled up to her now hairless pubic region. Once the panties were on she realised they seemed to be excessively thick.

It wasn't until they had sealed her into a colourful onsie that the penny dropped for Tora and she realised with disgust that she'd allowed herself to be put in a diaper.

"Hey! Hey wait a minute. This is s diaper isn't it? You can't put me in a diaper, i'm a grown woman." Tora protested, tugging at her body suit. She realised her new flat chest and lack of body hair made her seem less like the grown woman she thought of herself as.

"Is this all because I had an accident on the way here? That won't happen again. I promise."

Tora could only pout and fold her arms as Erodryn finished dressing her in a childish blouse and skirt.

"You think i'm a child don't you?" Tora asked, thinking about the way she had been treated so far.

Erodryn didn't understand anything she said because she was too excited, spoke too quickly for even the interpreter to fully understand, not that her Human common was that good anyway, and they just let her fuss in her native language.

Without really knowing what the little one was saying, Erodryn just smiled and cooed at her while she got her dressed.  She had been careful to make sure the onsie was well sealed by magic, and then she slipped the blouse and skirt on her, expertly, for she did have a little more strength than this child did.  And once the outfit was on her, the blouse and skirt fused together into a dress making it impossible for her to get it off because the skirt was too tight to go up over her head, and the magic that sealed the openings of the blouse were too tight to now get the top part down over her hips or even her arms out of the arm holes very easily.

"There you are," the woman smiled at the girl speaking Sylvan.  "You're all ready to come and have a little something to fill your belly.  You are no doubt hungry."

Erodryn helped her down to her feet on the floor, reached for her hand again, and made to walk her out of the bathroom.

.,..,.,.,Tora marvelled at the way the fabric came together seamless at Erodryn's touch. She was still upset about being mistaken for a child and dressed like a little princess but her sense of wonder was almost overcoming her dismay. Almost... She was finding odd looking down at the simple neckline of the dress tightly fitted to her newly flat chest. There was not an ounce of cleavage.

Tora realised Erodryn was expectantly holding out s hand for her to hold again. She took it and wondered what it would take to be earn enough trust to wonder the Maison unattended?

As they walked to the kitchens where some food had been readily prepared in expectation of the Earthlings arrival, Tora realised was waddiling a little in her diaper. The padded garment was thick. It was throwing her stride off kilter.

(The diaper is magic, so it's not that thick, but it does hold a full wetting and it can even hold a full load of poop when it comes to that).

Erodryn smiled as she walked with the girl hand in hand towards the kitchens.  Erodryn seemed really obedient for a little girl that was lost and out of her environment, or maybe that was her manner.  Maybe she was shy until she got used to things.  No matter.  She would be used to things in no time, if Erodryn had her way.  After all, she expected a little girl, not a robot or someone that would know better.

She got her to the dining room where there was a huge table, and past that and into a smaller kitchen area where the six kitchen workers normally ate, and she put her little girl at the table.

Erodryn then started calling for the kitchen staff to bring in some snacks for the baby.

One of the first things that happened, when Erodryn was at the table, was a bib had appeared out of nowhere, and right up on her chest magic-fabricked perfectly so it would prevent any spills from getting on the chest of the dress.  It seemed she didn't care if the skirt got messy or not.  Then plates of sweets, some that looked familiar and some that were in no way something she would recognize.

"mumble jumble ook leih ken you like mumble jumble ooflin agnak some flat bread?" Erodryn asked her.  There were some elven words that she would recognize from trying to study it, but most of the language was just too difficult to decipher.

Tora was quite paying attention when a bib magicked at her chest. She had been looking around the small room taking in details, only to look down and realise Erodryn had put her in a bib without even having to reach around and tie it around her neck. It had sort of meshed itself to her dress, the itself having been formed of originally two separate items of clothing. Tora tried to pull the bib off but the flannel cloth was stuck fast to the snugly fit dress.

"I don't need a bib!" She whined in frustration, unable to tug to off.

She felt she didn't need to be wearing a diaper either but she knew she had no chance of getting at beneath the onsie under her dress without some kind of cutting tool.

Some plates of food were presented to her and Tora nodded enthusiastically for the proffered flat bread.

She grinned and nodded again after taking a bit. It tasted familiar and that was s comfort on this day of strangeness.

Next she picked at s mix of things which looked familiar and other foods which were completely alien. She discovered she didn't at all like the sweet and spicy taste of a mushy fruit closely resembling a banana put she did like the savoury cakes, little boiled eggs and some kind of cheese (she hoped it wasn't made from horse milk).

Although it was pretty fun to be trying a selection of foods from an alien culture, there were several indicators she was being given a child's meal. The food was wholesome and unseasoned, there was nothing spicy or fried. It had also all been cut up for to eat with her fingers.

Afterwards, Erodryn sat next to her with a bowl of something and tried to feed it to her. Tora was uncooperative, which made the bib suddenly justifiable, goop ended up smattered over it.

Once Erodryn was done feeding her as much as she could get her to eat, she pulled on the back of the bib, and it disappeared.  Her entire dress had been saved from the mess she had made on the bib.  It was magic after all.

Then, the lady helped the 3 Tah child up out of her seat, and then put an arm around her as she started to walk her up some steps towards a suite that would be hers, entirely.  it would have three rooms from the main room.  The main room was made up like a sitting area, probably for visitors.  It had a table with some games stacked under it, and it had a large mirror on one wall that was just huge!  It covered the distance, of closet sliding doors from side to side, and was Ceiling to floor in height.

One of the rooms, off to the left, has a bedroom with what looked like a normal bed at first glace, but had rails on the side of the bed that would come up when she was in the bed.  Of course, the rails were magic, and would only go up or down with a magic command.  That room had a closet with some nice blouse-skirt-dresses in it.  There was a dresser with some diaper-panties and undershirts in it.  And there was a second dresser with socks in it.  On the big dresser, there was a teddy bear, and on the child bed, there were three other stuffed animals.

In another room, the middle room, there was a lot of empty space to play and lots of toys and games lined the walls.

In the far right room, there was a place where whoever took care of her would be changing her when she wet her pants, and doing other daily clean ups when she made a mess of herself, but it had no bath.  It was basically just a dressing/diaper changing room.

".... like.... room?" The noble Sylvan woman asked.  It seemed like she had spoken for nearly a minute before she finished.

PAs Tora was shown each of the rooms of the suite a couple of things stuck out for her. First all, a four room suite was certainly an the kind of lavish apartment she had hoped for as an ambassador from Earth but it was increasingly apparent from the decoration and functions of different clhambers, that her hosts had somehow confused her for a child.

"Yes. Thank you. It's nice but... I'm not a child." Tora tired to insist but she wasn't indulged.

Gloomily she flopped down onto a sofa in the reception room. Was this to be her life for the foreseeable future, princess gowns, games and diapers? She wondered how she was going to convince anyone that she was an adult? Perhaps she could make some headway with the woman who was to be her tutour? Or maybe one of the board games under the coffee table would be a good way to start picking up Slyvanesti?

Tora pulled a board game out and studied the box.

"Will you play this with me?"

It looked like a simple matching game, a bit like 'snap'. She supposed all the games in the too would be 'age appropriate' I.e. she wasn't going to find anything challenging. What Tora didn't consider though was the complexity of the Slyvian language matched the complexity of their thinking. The simple fact was that to them her intellect really wasn't much greater than a child's. As the game was demonstrated to her she was impatient and always saw only the first meaning in the picture cards, facing to grasp the deeper meanings and therefore the subtle ways in which seemly different cards counted as matches under the games rules.

After what was only a few rounds of the game but was experienced as a couple of hours for Tora, her frustration got the better of her.

"I don't understand it. This game is stupid." She stropped. Setting down her cards and crossing her arms. To the Sylvania she looked like a grumpy tired little girl in need of a nap.

Erodryn smiled and nodded at her when she said that the game was stupid.  It was stupid to pick out a game for a six year old who is learning proper etiquette at school when this girl was only three and a half years old, well, to Erodryn anyway.  She wasn't surprised  at all that the girl lost interest very quickly in the game.

"Honey,...." She said a few words that Tora didn't know.  "So...." on went the communication.  "...bed."

She put a firm hand on her shoulder and guided her towards the bedroom area.

"... bed, and ..." Erodryn went on talking for ten minutes, almost none of the vocabulary anything she had learned yet.  For Erodryn, it didn't  seem like she had spoken for more than a minute.

Finally, she guided her firmly, her grasp too hard to move away from her shoulders, and yet her fingers so delicately on her shoulders, that it didn't even hurt.

She picked her up rather easily, and put her into the toddler bed, the rails coming up automatically the moment Erodryn moved her arms out of the way.
