Cody sighed he looked at Courtney. “ can you excuse us for a sec “ Cody said when she left Cody looked at the little boy. “ baby you need to understand you are four years old to everyone here. Your not to big for daycare your just perfect for daycare. Now stop pretending to be a big boy”

“ baby you can’t go home I have work and no one will no I promise. How about we go outside and see if you can make a friend” Cody said hugging the little boy bavk

Still crying Chris said “w w we cannn try I g guess”

 Cody smiles and carries the boy out of classroom outside to the playground. “ look baby you see all kids playing ooh looks there’s a little boy playing in sand he looks about four maybe five “ Cody said.

Chris looked sad and cling to Cody whispering into his neck “but but what if he doesn’t yike me and or he can tell I’m not really yittle yike him”

“ oh baby stop being silly why would he think your an adult you are baby” Cody said going to the boy he sat Chris down next to him. “ hey little buddy this Chris he wants to play what’s your name” 

the boy looked up. “ I’m James okay that sounds fun” the boy said holding up a truck.

Chris sniffled but took the truck “thanks umm what are we playing!” He gave Codyba squeeze “can I go play”

COdy smiled. “ yes of course baby. Okay I’ll be back at lunch to get you “ Cody said he told the teacher then went to work. 

James smiled “ monster trucks “ James said. “ it’s really fun “ he started to explain the game.

Chris kicked his flip flops off and jumped in the sand box he smiled at his new friend “I yike trucks thier my favorite well maybe acept my legos but I’m not allowed to play wifvthem no more”

James was happy he liked Chris a lot. “ ooh I like LEGO to the LEGO movie is my favorite movie. Have you watched it before “ James said moving his truck threw the sand.

Chris was having fun. He shook his head “no but it sounds real fun suddenly he was struck by a strong urge he looked around “umm do you know where the potty is a gotta go real bad”

“ you have to come watch at my house “James said. James looked at Chris. “ yes I do we have to ask mr.nick “ James said he held out hand to Chris to find the teacher.  They walked around the playground until they found me.nick with two other kids.

Chris took James hand “can you ask for me I don’t know Mr. Nick” he was doing the potty Dance

James looked at Chris. “ okay I will” James said. “ mr.nick  Chris has to go to the bathroom “ James said. 

Nick looked down. “ okay I’ll take him In a minute after these two time out us over and he ask me “ Nick said.

Chris was jumping up and and down on his bare feet he covered his privates “ but but I gots to peepee real bad”

Nick looked at the boy. “ honey I can see that but the policy here is you ask the adult  to go “ nick said waiting for the boy to do it.

“But but but please” Chris froze it was to lates spot of warm pee spread through the front of his shorts and underwear and started to drip down his legs and onto his feet 

he look shocked then started sobbing

Nick felt bad for the little boy. “ okay let’s go see if you have a change of clothes and get cleaned up it’s no big deal “ nick said grabbing the little boy hand and taking him in the classroom he looked through cubby. “ I guess your daddy didn’t pack anything. We have stuff here “ nick said he sat the boy on changing table he came over with a pull up and the pull boy wet pants down and underwear. 

“ you have to wear pull up now since you can’t hold you peepee but it’s okay “ nick said sliding up his legs.

Chris whined and tried to kick out “What no no I i I told you I had to make peepee and you asaid I needed to hold it but but I couldn’t and I peepeed it isn’t fair” he pouted

Nick sighed. “ I’m sorry but I told you had to ask not James. Now your daddy didn’t bring clothes so you have to wear the pull up. If you continue this tantrum I’m putting down for a nap “ nick said sliddingn the pull up.

Chris wanted to complain more but hearing the threat he closed his mouth “but but I’m a big boy I don’t need pull ups I can use the potty”

“ I know you can but you have to wear it and you still can go potty  just ask now it’s snack time would you like a snack “ nick asked helping him if the changing table.

Chris nodded still feeling shy “yes please and and and I need clothes”

“ sorry sweetie still no clothes you wet them your daddy will be here to get before lunch anyway “ nick said bring him over to James. James was eating animal crackers. “ hey Chris look it’s a donkey “ James said.
