A Friend In Need

"I meant just until this weekend party of yours. I'm... I'm worried about you, Charlotte. I'm just trying to look out for you..."

"I don't need it though Cal. I'm 19!!" Charlotte said once again starting to get frustrated

[Wannatripbaby]

He raises his hands in Surrender. "Okay, okay. I don't want to get into another shouting match again like we did earlier." 

He takes your empty plate to the kitchen.

[LilLadyLexi]

 "Look.i know I'm being unhealthy to myself. However it's not causing any...." She thought back to the hidden sheets under the bed. "It's not causing any harm and it's for 1 week. I promise!"

[Wannatripbaby]

He sighs. "Yeah, maybe you're right. Maybe I'm just being over-protective." He puts the plates in the dishwasher.

"you're just trying to be a good friend. That's not a bad thing"

[Wannatripbaby]

"Yeah. Thank you... So should you be getting back to your studies then?"

[LilLadyLexi]

"Honestly. I'm tired. So I'm probably going to crash"

[Wannatripbaby]

"Oh. Well... alright then. Goodnight, Charlotte."

[LilLadyLexi]

"unless you want me to stay up?"

Procrastination isn't the answer Charlotte. Sort it out!

[Wannatripbaby]

"Why would I..." Even though Cal was normally very bad at reading people, he felt the strange sense that she wanted him to tell her to stay up. "Well, you claim to have a lot of homework. And it's still fairly early. Maybe just get a little bit of it done before going to bed?" Hopefully she doesn't bite my head off this time...

Not exactly what you wanted but then again. What did you want Charlotte. You don't even know yourself.

"How about we watch some TV instead. There must be something on"

[Wannatripbaby]

Cal is thoroughly confused. An hour ago she fought with me over STOPPING her work and now I can't get her to start again! Ugh.

"Do you really think that's a good idea, Charlotte? From what you said earlier you have a lot of homework to get done before your weekend party, don't you?"

Careful Hun. You don't want to start something again. Just make something up.

"I'm waiting for an email before I can continue so there's no rush right now."

[Wannatripbaby]

"Oh." He seems to buy that. "Well then I guess some tv would be a good way to kill time."

[LilLadyLexi]

"Uh huh. So. What do you like to watch Cal? Maybe we can find something we have in common"

[Wannatripbaby]

"I don't watch a lot of tv. I have a few shows I like and keep up with. You ever watch Person of Interest? Longmire? Murdock Mysteries?

[Wannatripbaby]

"I'm all for a Crime series. But it needs to be something interesting haha"

"Oh, Interesting doesn't even begin to describe these shows!" He turns on Murdock Mysteries.

[LilLadyLexi]

"Guess we could give it a go. This is nothing compared to what we got back in Britain though"

[Wannatripbaby]

"Yeah, British tv is pretty great. But Canadian tv is pretty good too. They're still both better than half the crap we Americans make."

Charlotte simply snuggled up to the cushion and watched what was put on. She seemed content with it.

[Wannatripbaby]

Part way through the show he suddenly starts feeling around his pockets. "Where did I put my phone..." He gets up and heads towards his room.

"Hmm... Maybe I dropped it in your room?" He opens your door.

[LilLadyLexi]

"I don't think you did. But you're welcome to check!"

Charlotte wasn't even thinking when she gave him permission to look around in her room.
