A Friend In Need

Charlotte came back out and slumped on the sofa. Waiting for food, it smelled soooooo gooood though!

Soon dinner was finished and he brings you over a plate before sitting down next to you with his own. "Bon apatite."

"German right? I think"

She had no idea. Quite funny considering french was actually one of her papers

"French, actually. But don't ask me what it means because I have no clue." He starts eating.

[LilLadyLexi]

"Oh fairs. What is this by the way, It looks and Smells delicious"

[Wannatripbaby]

"Stir fry. Nothing too fancy. A few vegetables and some smoked sausage cut up and fried together served on a bed of rice."

[LilLadyLexi]

Charlotte took a bite. "It's fucking deliciious. Where did You learn to cook!"

[Wannatripbaby]

"I took Cooking as an elective my first year. Honestly, if this whole psychology thing doesn't pan out I might go into a more culinary career. I like cooking, it's just so... easy. Whereas the human brain is a challenge yet unsolved by anyone."

And then you meet me and you question what the brain even is haha"

He chuckles slightly. "Honestly, you're not that bad. You're not gonna believe this, but I have several classmates with all the intelligence of a four-slice toaster. Sure, they can recite textbooks from memory, but I can't help but feel like they couldn't think their way out of a paper bag."

"Thats pretty hilarious actually. I sometimes feel I can't do a damn thing"

[Wannatripbaby]

"Sometimes I wonder if I fall into that 'Can't think my way out of a paper bag' category."

[LilLadyLexi]

"You don't seem to to be honest Cal. You just don't quite get social skills"

[Wannatripbaby]

"Whereas you do. So in some ways that makes you smarter than me."

[LilLadyLexi]

"No. I just took the time to make friends. Anyway. You've got some friends!"

[Wannatripbaby]

"True. But you make friends a lot more easily."

"All I'm trying to say is there are multiple kinds of intelligence. You just have a different kind than me."

[LilLadyLexi]

"ooookay then. You're losing me Cal!"

[Wannatripbaby]

He sighs. "Let me try explaining it differently: Everyone's brain is wired differently. As such, you can do things easily that I would find very difficult. And vice vera."

[LilLadyLexi]

"That sort of makes sense. I guess. But why would someone such as you find it difficult to find friends. Maybe you should come with me at the weekend"

[Wannatripbaby]

"Why a person does or does not have issues socializing is a complex problem with far too many facets to discuss casually. And no, I won't be doing that. But thank you."

"you're so boring!"

[Wannatripbaby]

"Hence why I don't have many friends."

[LilLadyLexi]

"Hence why you don't have any, anything. You need to sort it out Cal. Before no one hangs out with you. Just come out, even if just for an hour?"

He sighs. Would it really be that bad? An hour for Charlotte's sake? "One hour." He agreed. "And only if you agree to start taking better care of yourself."

"I can't promise that, Because I prefer to live my life y'know"
