Freshman Year

He chuckles. "Yeah, I guess it has been. But hey, that just means it can only get better, right?"

“I guess so” 

i really wanted that candy bar I should have kept my mouth shut

"So, since we have a few minutes, why don't you tell me a bit more about your interests? What are some things you like to do?"

“I was a swimmer. Loved the outdoors. My mom and dad”.... starts to cry “took me camping. We were on our way to cabin” sobs 

 

[Wannatripbaby]

Shit. I should've been more specific.

He puts his arm around you. "There there, Matthew. It's okay. Everything will only get better from here on out."

Continues to sob “I’m in a wheeelchair I”.... sniff “I have no control over anything”

"Steven Hawking is paralyzed and he's one of the most respected scientists in the world today!" Not necessarily 100% accurate, but it gets the point across.

“He probably doesn’t have learning problems” little pause. “Or poop his pants without knowing” 

[Wannatripbaby]

"You know who did have learning problems? Einstein. Guy could barely order coffee without help!"

"Really?" has difficulty remembering some events. Just about anything brett tells me I will believe he is the teacher right? 

[Wannatripbaby]

"Yes. Really. If he were alive today he would probably be on about every behavioral modification drug in existence!"

"Hmmmmm. yeah?" finding the conversation interesting 

[Wannatripbaby]

"So you see, if a mentally challenged person can become the most famous scientist in the world, just imagine the amazing things you could do!"

The bell has rung. Speaking of, it is time for English class? 

[Wannatripbaby]

"Ah. We should probably get going, Matthew. I believe your next class is English?" He switches to an exaggerated hillbilly accent and says "Time to learn you how to talk more gooder!"

Giggles. As I’m rolled out I wish it were still summer break. I only got a break of not even 24hrs because the accident happened and I was in hospital for rest of month.

He wheels you into class and sits next to you as class begins.

Feels like everyone is staring at me. I pee into diaper

Class begins.

As the teacher continued to teach english and grammar. I couldnt help but notice the cute boy I think his name is Ryan sitting across the room. 

See I'm gay at least I'm prettty sure of it. But I never got to tell my parents. I continue to daydream

Class continues and you manage to get through it without having a breakdown like last time.

After the bell rings Brett comes aroind your wheelchair, waiting for the sea of bodies to clear out of the doorway, and whispers "You did a good job, buddy."

"Thank you." I don't really remember much of class just Ryan. He was cute. Helped with the pain. I then stare back to Brett. "I guess school might not be that bad?"

"Yeah, not so bad once you get used to it." He starts wheeling you towards your next class.

On the schedule next is lunch but first is a trip to nurse station 

[Wannatripbaby]

He checks the schedule and sees that it's time to check in with the nurse again.

He wheels you through the door to nurse Jackie. "Why, hello again. What can I do for you this time, Matthew?"
