She takes you out to the table and sits you down with your salad.

She eats her salad across the table from you.

Soon you finish and she takes your bowl to the kitchen. "I forgot to ask: do you have any homework you need to get done?"

"Good." She starts washing the dishes.

Soon she comes over and sits down with you.

"I texted your friend Gideon about Karate classes. He said he'd be happy to help us both learn."

"I have taken self-defense classes in the past. Which is probably how I managed to get us out of that mess. But it couldn’t hurt to brush up. Plus it'll be another way for us to bond."

She puts her arm around you and pulls you close, kissing the top of your head.

"It's times like these that I wish I had millions of dollars and the two of us could just fly to our own personal island and have no responsibilities but playing Mommy and Baby together every day. But even if I could I know that wouldn’t be fair to you. You're young, you need to socialize and get an education and all that good stuff."
