The Tornado Threw him a Baby Brother who is Ten

Jessica is making kissy faces at little Dominic and he is just giggling his head off he almost sounds like a two-year-old when he giggles and he kicks his feet in the air like one causing her to pop his bottom playfully and he Giggles even more from that and rolls over encouraging her to smack it a little hearing the diaper crinkle

Jason shook his head at the way they were playing.  Both of them looked a little bit like toddlers that way, but the girl definitely old enough to know to use the toilet and not her panties.

He didn't want to stop them though.  They were cute.

Still, there was no answer on his phone and he couldn't get the mothers.  He was really getting worried as the daycare started to empty out.  NOt even Jessica's mom was coming!

The daycare worker that was there stayed behind and soon it was just down to the four of them Jessica on the inside was really worried about her mother but she was a strong girl so she didn't show any sadness she just kept herself distracted with the little baby in her lap

Jason sighed and asked the day care worker if they had Jessica's mother's information, and told her that he would watch her since he had to watch Domini anyway until their mother also showed up, if she wanted to go home.  He figured she might have her own kids or family that she had to check in with.

The daycare worker went and try to look through the files and grab Jessica's file made a copy of it since the copier still worked and brought the copy down to Jason they decided to leave though they were very hesitant since Jason is only 14 years old he isn't exactly an adult though he has made adult decisions up to this point

Jason took the file and looked at it for a minute and then put it where he could find it later.

"This is so I make sure the right person gets you," he told Jessica.  "We don't want a bad person claiming you, do we?"

He reached out as if to tickle her.

"I already know this little guy's mommy though!

And he went to tickle Domini.

They both lay down next to each other getting tickled and they look like little toddlers kicking their feet in the air Dominic even start sucking his thumb

Jason smiled at them both, and then helped them back up to their feet.

He took both of them by the hand, and he led them to find the play room again, and he let them play for a while again.  

Meanwhile, he kept trying to get ahold of their moms, but poor Jessica.  It would be a while before she knew it, but the tornado had thrown an eighteen wheeler at her dad's car and killed him instantly, and her mom was trapped in a building with heavy things on her, so that eventually she died from internal injuries when the rescue teams couldn't get to her in time.

Jason's mom and Domini's moms were just trapped in a basement so full of rubble, that they couldn't get a signal out, so had no use of their phones, and rescue workers were not encouraged to check that building yet because it was flattened, and there didn't seem to be any hope for those people in that building where others that were only partially damaged, there seemed to be better hope of finding people alive... so they worked at the most hopeful places first.

It was truly a sad state of affairs. Even if they were to get out their homes were so destroyed that they would have no idea whwrw Jason and Dominic are. There's no telling when things will get under control not to mention what will happen when things do get under control.

Jason finally gave up trying to reach the moms for a while and turned his attention to the little kids.

Jessica stood up and pulled Dominque up, and then took him over to find the television.

"I think the television might be working again.  Maybe they have cartoons on."

Jason let her take them to the television.  Maybe they would broadcast anything important that way if it were on.

Sadly the cable isn't working right now likely the daycare provides a lot of DVDs of cartoons and they pop one in and sitting next to each other and watch it leaning on each other would Jessica frequently giving Dominic small cuddles and tickles and eventually pulling him in her lap and laying him back in her arms he's barely smaller than her but she's a little strong so she has no problem holding him

Jason sighed.

He wished he had figured out where the emergency radio was before they had gone to the basement that night before and had taken it with him because at the moment, there was no telling what was going on outside, and he really didn't want to take the kids out there without knowing what was going on, but knew that eventually, he and the girls would have to leave the daycare when they had daycare the next time.

He watched cartoons with them, and also watched them from time to time.

They will need to get them to devent shelter and be able to get more food. The kids are just  entertained.

He had no idea of where any other shelter was though, and he felt it safe where they were.  He didn't want to leave unless they were told to, or at least not until the girls' parents and his mom came back.

After a while though, he realized he had to get them something to eat, and the daycare was out of food  because of the emergency.

"Girls, let's go see if we can find some place to buy some food," he told them.  "You'll be hungry in a while, and we ate the last of the food at lunch time."

Only Jessica is a girl so she responds. "Yeah let's go eat" she grabbed her favorite little boy and pulled him away from the tv.

Adam smiled and held out his hand to both children.

"Hey, buddy, you'll be getting hungry in a while, so we're going to go find some place to buy some food, okay?"

"Yes daddy!" He hops up and runs over and reaches to be picked up smiling "I want up up daddy!" He looks like a one to two year old wanting daddy's attention as big sister holds his hand

Jason picked his little buddy up and then reached down to take the girl's hand.

"I don't know your parents specifically," he told her.  "So, while I'm watching you, you need to do everything I say, even if you think it's babyish.  I just don't want you to get lost, okay?"

Then he started to take them out to see what everything looked like.

The church he had sought refuge at the night before was  a jumble of rubble.  If he had stayed in the church, because the basement was full, he and Domini would have certainly been killed!

He looked around not really recognizing anything now.

With a sigh, he started to walk with the kids to see if they could find some place to buy food.  He remembered now, he didn't even have any money, but he thought that someone would take pitty on two small children like at the gas station and give at least them something if he showed them that they needed something to eat.

Dominic layed his head on daddy Jason's shoulder as they walked he looked around at the town and it was a complete mess nothing really seemed to be okay thanks to the two tornadoes that happened last night. He wondered where they could go and where they would get something to eat. Is there something like a McDonald's around that maybe they could stop at? Dominick Dunne really now so he just rested on Daddy

Actually, there had been six twisters that had touched down that night, but two of them had hit their neighborhood directly.

Jason couldn't find anything even standing, let alone open.  Even the gas station that he had seen earlier and gotten food from was demolished.

He sighed.

Then, by some luck, he found an emergency truck driving along offering blankets and food to people.

Jason walked up towards them, and they handed him three heated TV dinners, he didn't understand how they got the food heated, but he didn't care, and three blankets to the young people.

"Is your house standing?" they asked Jason guessing it wasn't.

"I don't know."

"Where did you come from?"

"A child daycare center that's still standing."

"You should go back there until you hear from your parents, or until someone comes and takes you to a better place."

Jason nodded and took the kids back towards the daycare center....

As they were walking around to looking at places Dominic wets himself as he looks around and starts to get scared not knowing where his mommy is and sees people running around and children looking for theirs he just cleans harder to Jason and when Jason puts a blanket around him he starts to drift off to Sleep

Jason patted his back.

Even if he knew the boy had wet, there was nothing he could do there, and he also had to keep watch of Jessica.

He handed the food to her.

"Can you hold this stuff until we get back to the daycare?" he asked her.

She nods being his little helper. She wasn't as worried about her mother because she was sure that her mother was fine. She just knew that her mother would be coming to find her soon soon they walked back to the daycare which was now empty Jessica said the food on the table and grabbed some plastic wear for them
