"Now, you've already had your diaper changed and you've just been fed. So there's only one thing we have to do before I put you in your crib." She smiles at you.

She wraps you in a big hug.

"I feel like I haven't had very much quality time with my little survivor these past few days."

"I wish we could spend the whole day together. Just the two of us. We could go to the park, get ice cream, do everything a mother and daughter should do together."

yeah but that wouldnt be fair to the others

"Exactly. I love what I'm doing to help little boys and girls like you. But the two hardest parts of this job are saying goodbye to my kids when their treatment is done, and not being able to spend as much one-on-one time with my babies as I'd like."

She kisses the top of your hair. "I'll just have to settle for moments like this."

She sighs in contentment and holds you close.

"Awwww." She says, slightly choked up with emotion since this is the first time you've said you loved her.

After another minute or so she finally lets go of you. "Okay, I think we should get you into bed."

She helps you into your crib and tucks you in. "Sweet dreams, baby." She kisses your forehead.

You are awoken later by Jennifer. Your diaper is full. "Sleep well, baby?" She whispers.
