Skies were grey and there was no sun at all.  The winds howled loudly roaring and creating a dreadful sound as the leaves fluttered about helplessly.

Sammy a rather small sixteen year old with bright blue eyes and long scruffy brown hair that almost looked red was sitting at the dining table with her step-father.

Sammy was wearing her ovrr sized black hoodie and doing her best to ignore what Stan was saying until his hand came down hard on the table in front of her.

Sammy looked up sharply and stared fearfully at Stan.

"Did you hear anything I just you little punk!" shouted Stan aggressively.

Sammy's nerves kicked in and she instantly begun sucking her thumb. It was a terrible habit to have and one that had gotten her into trouble with Stan and her own mother before because she shouldn't be such a baby now.

Sam whimpered softly as Stan started to shout at her for sucking her thumb.

The sixteen year old could feel her blue baggy jeans getting wet and was doing her best to hold back tears.

"Did you just....GET OUT!" shouted Stan unable to control his anger at all.

Sammy with tears in her eyes quickly got up and ran.  Sammy went to her bedroom and got her stuffed cuddly toy from beneath her bed.

Sammy held the soft grey bunny toy in her hand and ran out of the house quickly into the blustering wind.

Sammy could still hear Stan swearing loudly from outside.

Sammy with tears running down her face walked away and headed to the city unsure where to go as she held her bunny close to her.

Two hours of none stop walking rain started to pour down heavily and Sammy was utterly lost and her jeans were now uncomfortable.  Sam could tell that she was starting to get a rash because of how itchy it was down there!

Sam looked up at the signs and thought for a moment.

Stan's ex wife lived twenty minutes away from here and while she didn't know her that well at all she was the only person Sammy could go to right now.

Sammy shivered as she stood outside the door suckling her thumb and holding her stuff toy close to her.

Sammy knocked loudly and rubbed her eyes hoping that Stan's ex wife wasn't mean and would let her stay for one night.

Sammy was drenched thanks to the rain and tired from walking so long. The small teen was doing her best not to cry loudly but she couldn't help it because of how distraught she was.

It was just another boring day to Jill, the woman was 43, had dark brown hair and blue eyes. It was raining very hard outside, the wind was blowing with such force. She decided to make a cup of tea to herself and drink it while watching a movie to make the best of a cold day like this.

Jill had just sat at the sofa when she heard someone knocking at the door, she put her cup of tea on the coffee table and got up to answer the door.

She was surprised when she discovered that the one who had been knocking was a small teenager girl, who she recognized as Sam, her ex-husband stepdaughter. "Hi." She smiled at the girl. "You are Sam, right?!"

She had to compose herself and hide her curiosity, albeit the girl's stature she knew Sam was a teenager, but why was the girl sucking her thumb and holding a stuffed toy like a little kid?! Although Jill thought it was a little strange, she had to admit it was quite a cute sight!

"Please come in!" She told the girl, she was drenched and looked like she had been crying. "Is everything okay?!" She asked after closing the door.

Sammy looked up brightly at Jill and nodded shyly as she clutched her bunny tightly to her chest and continued to suck her thumb.

Sammy nervously entered the warm cosy house and relaxed a little.

Sammy looked down a little at the soft carpet floor which was getting wet from her torn damp sneakers that she had had for a few years now and needed replacing six months back if not more.

Sammy felt awkward but Jill seemed nice and wasn't shouting or being mean to her!

Sammy took a deep breath and hesitantly moved her thumb out of her mouth, "I'm sorry," whimpered Sam always quick to apologise, "i didn't know where to go," paused Sam becoming upset again and putting her thumb back into her mouth for comfort, "h-he was shouting and really angry....please don't call him." added Sam rubbing her eyes with her other hand causing the stuffed bunny to drop on the floor.

Sam bent down and picked it up quickly clinging to the bunny, "I'm sorry for disturbing you," whimpered Sam, "c-could I stay for the night? Please? I promise I won't cause trouble it's just really cold out now and he normally doesn't let me back in to the house when he's angry." added Sam shivering from how cold she was now.

Jill followed Sam's eyes and notice the girl's worn out sneakers, they looked very old and clearly they weren't in conditions to still be used, that made her frown. "Why don't you take them off? They don't seem comfortable at all."

Jill gave Sam a soft smile when she apologized. "Don't worry swetie, you don't have to be sorry." She put her arm around the girl's shoulders. She felt instantly angry when she discovered that the girl was in that state because of Stan, she hated him more than she had ever in her whole life. "I promise I won't call him, it's all his fault." She squeezed the girl's shoulders, but let her go when Sam bended down to pick up her stuffed bunny.

"I promise you are not disturbing me!" She reasured the girl. "You can stay here for as long as you like." She gave Sam a playfull wink even though inside she was angry at Stan, how could he let a girl out of the house?! She imagined the bad things that could have happened to the girl.

"You are freezing, how about I run you a warm bath?" She offered already taking the girl's hand to lead her to the bathroom.

Sam blushed and glanced at Jill with a shy look before nodding and untying the badly done knots on her sneakers.

Sam took them off and sighed softly in relief.  The sixteen year old had no socks on and her feet were red from them being rubbed.  Samny didn't have time to put on socks and get her bunny and her bunny was more important!

Sammy stared at the soft smile in awe! She couldn't remember the last time someone smiled at her.

Sammy returned the smile with her own toothy grin, "Huh?" replied Sammy tilting her head and looking completely confused, "Really?" asked Sammy, "But I'm bad?" said Sam only to shrug her shoulders a little and removing her hood, "That's what Stan and my mother tell me." added Sammy her long brown hair completely soaked her hood having given little to no protection.

Sam smiled feeling relieved, "Thank you!" exclaimed Sam with bright and joyful blue eyes, "I wouldn't know what to do if you did call him he'd probably get more angry." added Sammy with a frown.

Sammy felt comforted by the squeeze Jill had giving her.  It made her feel warm? Sammy wasn't sure what this feeling was but she felt good!

Sammy nodded slightly, "If you sure?" asked Sam quietly despite the reassurance.

Sammy was taking back by the wink and what Jill had said.

Sam stared amazed at Jill and instantly wrapped her arms around Jill's waist and rested her head against Jill's stomach, "Thank you!" exclaimed Sammy doing her best not to cry from relief and happiness, "I promise to be good!" added Sammy looking up at Jill with sparkling blue eyes.

Sammy smiled and held Jill's hand tightly as she followed her to the bathroom, "Bath? I haven't had a bath for a couple days cause I woke up early and made a sound that woke Stan up and I'm not allowed to wash till Monday cause of that." stated Sammy giving Jill a curious glance, "I don't want to get into anymore trouble." added Sammy worryingly.

When Sam took her shoes off Jill had to hold back an exclamation, her feet were read because the girl was wearing no socks. "Do they hurt?" She asked concerned. "You have to wear socks or you'll get blisters."

Jill her heart going a little tight inside her chest because Sam looked so happy at Jill just smiling at her, she was sure the girl didn't get many smiles.

"Really." Jill said and nod her head at the same time. "I doubt you are bad Sam, and if Stan and your mother make you think like that it's because they're worse than I though." As if it wasn't enough bullying their own daughter, Stan and Sam's mother also made her believe that she was treated that way because of her own behaviour.

"l've never been so sure of anyhthing!" Jill answered, she didn't really know which responsabilities she was talking by letting the girl sleep at her house, but she knew she wanted to help her.

Jill was taken by surprise when she was hugged by Sam, but she quickly put her arms around the girl to hug her back. "You are welcome." She said as she patted the girl's back. "I'm sure you are good, and even if you make mistakes, I won't make you leave." She was surprised by her own words, she had always thought of herself as a cold person and here she was accepting Sam in her life so quickly, that was so out of character for her!

"I can't believe they did that! It's not healthy for you!" She couldn't hide the indignation even if she tried. "You won't get in more trouble, they won't know what you are doing right now." She squeezed the girl's hand.

Jill let Sammy's hand go to fill the bathtub. "I'll bring you something to wear. You can leave your clothes on the floor, I'll wash them." She left the room wanting to give Sam some privacy.

Sam nodded feeling embarrassed, "A little but its really cold and my feet feel numb so it doesn't hurt that much," replied Sam, "I normally don't wear socks cause it takes time to get them on and Stan gets pissed off if I'm not out of the house quickly in the morning." added Sammy softly with a frown.

"I haven't had a blister in about two weeks now." sighed Sam lifting her foot up slightly and showing the reddness on her sole, "It could be worse." added Sam with a shrug.

Sammy giggled softly unable to hide her happiness and joy from Jill at all.

Sam frowned for a moment, "I hope I'm not bad..." replied Sam, "I don't mean to be bad but they seem to hate me a lot cause I'm a screw up." added Sam, "I don't do well in school but I try my best..."

Sammy was surprised by how kind Jill was being towards her! It was a nice change and Sammy felt safe for once in her life despite barley knowing Jill.

Sam was shocked to be hugged back! The teen held onto Jill tighter and looked at the woman with a timid gaze filled with nervous  affection, "R-really?" stammered Sam, "But you barley know me?" whispered Sam quietly, "Thank you." added Sam burrowing her head against Jill's stomach feeling overwhelmed by Jill's kindness and affection.

Sammy looked at Jill, "They've done worse," replied Sam, "n-nothing I can't handle!" added Sam puffing out her chest and trying her best to appear brave despite her anxiety, nervousness and shyness.

Sammy took a breath of relief, "I don't know how I'll be able to repay you at all." stated Sam not wanting Jill to let go of her hand at all.

Sam looked at the water fillex bath tub and nodded slightly in response to Jill.

Sammy got undressed her jeans were wet and filthy while her panties had a yellow stain on it.  Sam hadn't been fortunate at all with puberty and didn't need a bra and didn't wear one.

Sammy stood naked in the bathroom.  Sam had a couple of bruises from being pushed around by Stan and her mother but nothing serious.  Sam also had a small rash on her bottom and private area because of her accident earlier.

Sam stepped into the bath and sighed loudly.  It was hot and she couldn't help but relax! Sam was a little underweight and didn't have a good sleeping pattern because of her constant fear of Stan and her mother Cathy.

"But your feet will get warm at some point and it'll start to hurt!" Jill said, thinking that she at least had an oitment that would help the pain. "That's wrong of him, he should respect you own time, speacially if it's about something that could hurt you like this." She pointed to Sam's feet. Each moment she thought even more that the shouldn't be under the responsability of Stan and Cathy. "Well, two weeks are already something, how about aiming for you to never have it again?!"

"Honey, I barely know you and I already know you are not bad, this means you are very good!" Jill tried to cheer the girl up. "What really matter is to try your best, and I know that you do that." It was no surprise for her that Sam was having problems with school, how could she concentrate properly while living in a hell at home?!

Jill rubbed the girl's back gently when she tightened the hold. When Sam looked at her, she was amazed at the affection for her that she saw in the girl's eyes. She nodded her head at Sam's question. "You also don't know me, hopefully we will have a lot of time to be know eachother." Jill was confused, she had been with this girl for ten minutes and she already didn't want to let her go, like she somehow belonged to Jill.

Jill kissed the top of the girl's head, somewhat understanding that Sam was not used to affection.

She had to take a deep breath at hearing that Stan and Cathy had done worse. "You are strong, I am sure of that, but that doesn't mean you have to live like that, no one should be put through this." Jill could see the girl was nervous and scared about the situation, but if Sam wasn't strong, she would never stand the life she had.

"You can repay me by being happy." Jill said truthfully, it was strange for her how someone's happyness suddenly seemed to be so important to her.

Jill chose for Sam a big shirt that would surely cover the girl like it was a dress, she went back to the bathroom, knocking before entering, although not waiting for an answer to do so. Sam was already inside of the tub. Jill left the shirt on the sink. "I'm sorry, but I don't have any panties that would fit you, is that a problem?" She asked Sam.

Jill picked up Sam's wet clothes from the floor, frowing at the yellow mark she noticed at the girl's panties, it looked a lot like a pee stain, she looked at Sam, but then chose not to ask the girl about it. "I'm going put these in the washing machine, call me if you need anything." She said before leaving the bathroom.

Sam frowned, "Yeah but it'll be fine I'm used to it so no worries right?" questioned Sam only to sigh, "he's never respected me I'm only a pest to him and my mother doesn't care i just get in the way of everything," continued Sam, "I don't think she ever cared in the first place." added Sam.

Sammy looked at Jill in shock, "Never?" questioned Sam, "What do you mean?" asked Sam confused, "I'll have to go back at some point unless I can stay here? But I don't want to burden you..." added Sam softly unsure of what to do.

"R-really! You think I'm good?" said Sam looking at Jill with awe wanting to hug Jill again but held herself back from doing so.  Sam smiled even more, "Thank you," said Sam softly, "I'm doing pretty badly but I get D's mostly and sometimes I get C's but its really hard and I'm failing maths." added Sam.

Sam was content and happy like this with Jill's arms around her and rubbing her back.

"I like you a lot already even though I don't know you that well." replied Sam, "I hope that we have a lot of time too," continued Sam, "your a lot nicer than Stan and my mother." added Sam feeling a huge level of admiration for Jill right now despite the small amount of time they've spent together.  It felt as if she belonged with Jill but that didn't make sense! Yet she couldn't help feeling like she did! Did it even matter?

Sam melted from the kiss.

Sammy eyes shined with adoration, admiration and love for Jill.  The teen didn't want to be left alone for a moment!

Sammy nodded slightly, "I'm not that strong..." replied Sam bashfully feeling shy over the mention of being strong because that said something positive about her and she had been taught that she had no good traits.

"I can be happy with you." replied Sam bluntly only to blush, "sorry! I shouldn't of said that! We barley know each other and its a stupid thing to say," rambled Sam, "not that its stupid because I feel really happy right now with you its just that I...I don't deserve to be happy." whispered Sam.

Sam in the bath sighed and nearly fell asleep in the tub until she heard Jill knock and watched Jill curiously.

"Oh...okay." said Sam watching Jill leave.

Sam sat in the bath tub for a good hour before getting out.

Sam walked over and picked up the shirt. It smelt amazing! It gave her a soft and warm feeling! Putting it on Sam was surprised by how big it was on her and giggled quietly.

Sam picking up her soft bunny walked out the bathroom with her hair still wet.

Sam seeing Jill walked up to her and hugged her tightly, "Hi..." mumbled Sam her heart beating fast, "J-jill would it be okay..." stammered Sam, "if I have a nightmare at all that I could," paused Sam, "could sleep with you?" asked Sam quietly placing her thumb in her mouth and sucking softly to help her nerves.

"Being used to something doesn't mean you have to like or to accept it." Jill reminded her. "Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, and that includes you." She pointed out. "I'm sorry to hear that, but the truth is some people just doesn't know how to be parents and show affection." Something in the back of her head was saying she was a bit glad that Sam's parentes were bad, or Jill would never be with her right now.

Jill took a deep breath, not wanting to drive Sam alway if she said something drastic. "I have to talk to my lawyer to know what we can do." Also Jill was a bit scared for caring so much for someone ahe knew nothing about and for wanting to protect Sam permanently so soon. "You can stay here for as long as you want to, I'm sure you'll never be a burden to me."

"Of course you are a good girl! I have no doubts about that." Jill wanted to give Sam another hug, but she knew the girl wasn't used to that and didn't want to upset her. "Ds and Cs are not bad at all, I'm that just with a little more effort you'll improve great." For Jill maybe Sam wouldn't even have to study more, just feelimg safe would do wonders to her school life.

Jill never thought she could smile as big as she did when Sam said she liked her, even wanting to give the girl space, she coudn't contain herself and give the girl a kiss on her cheek. "I like you too! And hopefully we will have a lot of time together." Jill would call her lawyer as soon as she could.

"Aw, don't say that, you are the strongest little girl I've ever known." As soon as the words left Jill's mouth she regreted saying them, Sam aperreared to be quite childish, the girl even sucked her thumb! But Jill didn't want the girl to feel insuted by being called a little girl.

When Jill heard Sam saying she could be happy with her she felt very happy, but instantly worried to see that the girl was doubting herself again. "Honey, there's no problem in saying that, I feel very happy too. I just want you to remember two things." She held two fingers up. "One is you can tell me everything, nothing you have to say to me is stupid, and two, you deserve to be the happiest person in the whole world."

While Sam was taking a bath, Jill put the girl's clothes in the washing machine and them went to the kitchen to fix them dinner. That's where she was when Sam came back, looking squeaky queen and also a bit younger wearing that shirt.

Jill was surprised when Sam hugged her, but instantly hugged her back, being so close she could feel Sam's heart beating fast, like she was nervous about something. "It's okay, you can tell me anything, remember?!" She told Sam and heard her question. "Surely, you can sleep in my bed whenever you like."

Jill couldn't stop thinking it was a little strange to see a teenager sucking her thumb as much as Sam did, but what was even stranger is that she didn't think it was gross, if that gave comfort to the girl she'd accept it.

"Are you hungry?"

Sammy nodded a little and even smiled at Jill!  The sixteen year old could barley believe her ears at what Jill was saying to her.  It was unbelievable to even think that she was worthy of respect and yet Jill thought she was! It made her feel important for once in her life.  Sam looked at Jill and thought, "Mhm," replied Sam thinking carefully, "I guess not I just wished I had someone like you for a mom," continued Sam, "you care a lot and you don't even know me I don't know how I'd be able to repay you at all for your generosity." added Sam thoughtfully with a soft smile at Jill.

Sam eyes widen at the mention of lawyer! Was Jill serious? Sam couldn't help but smile even more at that.  It meant a lot to the teen that Jill was willing to help her so much giving the bullshit Stan has put everyone through.   Sam had often heard Stan saying nasty and horrible stuff about Jill but knew that it was untrue giving the type of man that he was and how he treated her it was one of the reasons why she had chosen to go to Jill rather then walk about the streets at night and would of continued to do so for a week until returning home to Cathy shouting at her for being a horrible daughter and possibly hitting her.   The threats of violence have been going on for the past year and her mother had come close to actually hitting her a few times and Sam knew that Cathy was very close to doing so and Stan had been threatening her a lot lately with giving her a good spanking with his belt.

Sam shivered at the thought.

Sam tried her best to hold herself back but couldn't and wrapped her arms once again around Jill, "Your the best!" stated Sam cheerfully and doing her best to remain calm despite her fears and nerves over the entire situation.   Sam broke the hug after a few seconds trying her best not to explode with joy otherwise she'd be hugging Jill none stop!

Sam very nearly hugged Jill at the mention of being a good girl! No ones called her that before! She couldn't remember the last time someone gave her any sort of praise or anything positive! It meant the world to the small teen and she already felt very attached to Jill, "Really? You think so?" asked Sam, "I really want to do well! I really do!" exclaimed Sam with a big grin on her face and bubbling over with energy.

The kiss broke Sam.

Sam stared at Jill for a few seconds before hugging her tightly and nuzzling her face up against the woman's stomach similar to a puppy that just wanted affection from someone and giggled very loudly just like a child, "I never wanna go back home," said Sam, "I wanna stay here with you forever." added Sam childishly and softly clinging to Jill not wanting to let the older woman go at all.

Sam paused and looked at Jill only to smile, "I wish I had someone like you as my mama." replied Sam softly with a slight blush on her pale cheeks hoping that Jill wouldn't freak out from her saying that.

Sam nodded and smiled brightly at Jill, "Okay! I'll remember that." replied Sam thinking over what Jill had said to her.  It was okay to tell Jill anything? Sam felt even more safe with that knowledge it made her feel great and while she wouldn't be able to tell Jill everything just yet she knew that Jill would listen to her and help her otherwise she wouldn't even be here right now in the house!

Sam smiled softly hearing Jill's response, "Even when I don't have a nightmare?" asked Sam shyly, "C-could I sleep with you tonight?" asked Sam nervously hoping that she wasn't pushing her luck to far with Jill but she wanted to be as close as possible to her! Sam nodded her head, "Yeah!" replied Sammy with her thumb still in her mouth.

Jill swooned at what Sam said, she wished she was a mom to Sam, if she was surely everything would be different and Sam wouldn't feel so unsure about her qualities or look so shocked when Jill hugged her. "I just want to see you happy." She reminded Sam.

In the beggining Jill thought Sam hadn't liked the ideia, but mere seconds latter there was the biggest smile she ever saw on the girl's face! Which meant she had liked the idea of living with Jill. And what amazed her is that the girl had to prejudice towards her, she knew how Stan was, he must had talked about her to the girl, and surely just about bad things. She could not stamd being married to that guy for one year, asking for a divorce just 10 months after getting married, she didn't understand how Sam could have live with him as a stepfather for so long.

Jill hugged her back with a huge smile on her face. "No, you are the best." She playfully bopped the tip of Sam's nose with her finger after saying that.

She didn't know if ahe should feel happy or sad about Sam looking so happy because of a simple compliment like that, one that she knew most of the kids were tired of hearing from their parents. She nodded her head at Sam's question. "You'll do better, I'll help with whatever you need." She promised.

Jill was worried because after the cheek kiss she gave Sam, the girl stoped moving, she was almost asking her if everything was okay qhen the girl almost made her fall because of the force she used to hug Jill. She gently ran her fingers through the girl's hair. "I want you to live here with me forever, you'd bevwr have to fo back to that house again." Even though nothing was solved yet, Jill already refused to call the Cathy and Stan's house Sam's home.

Jill felt her eyes tearing up when she heard what Sam said, but she managed to make the tears stop. "Well, I'd love to be your mama." She said truthfully, she'd feel honored to have such a role in Sam's life.

Jill nodded her head at Sam's question, she wouldn't mind at all sleeping with the girl beside her. "Of course, my princess." She new Sam's was still a lot shaken, having left home for just a few hours, it would be best to keep a close eye on her during the night.

She let Sam out of her hug. "I hope you like pasta then." She said walking to the table and sitting down, she put pasta in two dishes, one for her and the other for Sam. "You'll just have to take your thumb out to eat." She joked.

"You'd be the first," replied Sam softly, "no one seems to want that for me at all." added Sam quietly looking at Jill with complete adoration and admiration having never had someone to look up to before properly in her whole life.  It was rather amazing for the teen to have someone like Jill in her life now and more so lucky otherwise she might have gone down a dark path later  on.

Sam could barley believe how accepting Jill was of her! She was Stan's step-daughter and she wasn't sure if Jill would be accepting of her at all because of that and had been worried when she knocked on the woman's door but that worry had been for nothing!  Sam had lived with Stan for five years of her life and had only seen Jill a few times as an eleven year old when Stan had brought her along to move some of his stuff.  Sam had been small back then and she had barley grown much taller since! Sammy had hated moving Stan's belongings back then because of how heavy they were and found it unfair that she had to do any lifting while he sat drinking a can of beer watching her.  It unnerved her and there was a part of her that was very freaked out by Stan! Something wasn't right with the guy at all and she always felt unsafe being around him.  He got angry but he also had a tendency to flirt and make inappropriate comments to her! It made her feel insecure about herself big time.

Sammy giggled loudly at the boop, "Nuh uh! Your the best!" replied Sam standing on her tip toes and trying her best to boop Jill back on the nose but couldn't quite reach and ended up poking her chin lightly instead causing Sam to giggle.

Sam couldn't believe what she was hearing, "Really?" asked Sam in awe, "This is so great!" stated Sam overjoy'd and amazed that Jill was going to such lengths for her and willing to help her.

Sammy never had anyone touch her hair before quite like Jill had and it brought the small teen to a halt as she relaxed fully and felt complete bliss from the action.  Sam wished she could stay in Jill's arms forever like this but knew that she couldn't.  Sammy cling'd to Jill not wanting to let go or be let go at all.   Blue eyes shined brightly up staring into Jill's own, "I-I can call you mama?" asked Sam quietly with tears in her eyes trying not to cry.

Sam felt a range of emotions from being called 'princess' it made her happy beyond belief to hear those words!

Sam sat down at the table and nodded a little with a smile removing her thumb, "I like pasta!" replied Sam full of energy as she grabbed her soft toy bunny and sat it down on the table with a giggle.  Sammy begun to eat quite quickly and ended up getting quite a bit of sauce over her face.

Sammy looked at Jill, "Mama?" said Sam, "W-would it be okay later on for me to cuddle with you? I tried once with my mother but she yelled at me..." mumbled Sam softly and shyly.

Jill couldn't answer that because she knew the girl was right, Stan and Cathy never cared about Sam's happiness. She felt her heart getting a little more warm at the admiration look Sam had in her eyes, it was such a big responsability to already mean so much to someone like Sam, but at the same time it made Jill feel unbelievable proud of herself.

Jill smiled a little bit at remembering Sam as an eleven year old when Jill had first saw her, since then the girl got older, but her height hand't chenged much. She remembered noticing the girl looked a lot shy and introspective, but she thought it was just that, a kid being shy because she was in somewhere new with people she has just met. How she wished she could have taken Sam to live with her at that time! But she had know idea of what the girl had to be through at home, and also she knew Stan wasn't the best person, but she would never suspect that he'd turn in someone that could treat a child that badly.

She laughed just a bit at hearing Sam's giggle, she had never heard such a happy sound. She laughed even more when Sam tried to do the same, reaching for her nose, but couldn't make it because it was too high for her. She put her hands under the girl's armpits and raised her. "Can you reach my nose now?!"

"I pinky promise." Jill answered and offered her pink to Sam.

Jill made a mental note that the girl liked having her hair caressed like that, she'd surely do it again. Her eyes were full of tears again at Sam's question, and this once she couldn't help, but let them fall. "Nothing would make me happier than having you calling me 'mama'" Jill answered truthfully and pulled the girl into her arms.

"I'm glad I got it right then. What other foods you like?" She asked. "Maybe we should have given some pasta to mr.bunny here, by the way, does he have a name?" She asked about the stuffed toy that seemed to be Sam's loyal friend. "You are making such a mess Sam, let me help you with that!" Jill said after seeing the state the girl was in, she picked up a napkin and gently cleared the girl's face.

Jill gave Sam a big smile just for being called 'mama'. "Yes, we can cuddle as much as you want." She caressed the side of the girl's face. "I'd never get mad at you for wanting to cuddle. Do you want to cuddle after dinner?"

Sam had no ill thought towards Jill only positive and wanted to be with the older woman for a long time.  Sam wanted nothing more than to be with Jill and found herself having a strong emotional attachment to her.

Sammy wished so badly that Jill was her birth mother but knew that was a weird thing to wish for but she didn't care because she was with Jill now and that's all that mattered.

Sammy was surprised to be lifted up by Jill so easily but she was small and didn't have much fat on her.  Sam giggled loudly and could see Jill better like this and stared into Jill's eyes for a moment before booping Jill on the nose causing her to laugh loudly with joy. She liked being held like this!

Sam stared at Jill's pinky and grinned as she hooked hers over Jill's.  Sammy eyes continued to shine brightly.  This felt amazing!

Sammy was unable to hold back her tears any longer and started to cry the moment Jill's tears fell, "Mama!" said Sam loudly, "Mama, mama, mama..." repeated Sammy almost as if she had just learnt a new word and didn't want to stop saying it at all.

"Besides pasta I dunno," said Sam with a slight grin, "its the only thing I can cook cause Stan never cooks and my mother only orders take out." added Sam with a toothy grin.

"Huh?" giggled Sam, "He's called Bigwig! He's gonna be really big one day but till then he's kinda small," said Sam, "I normally have to hide him cause..." paused Sam, they don't like me having anything childish and hate it when I suck my thumb or I do anything childlike or babyish," sighed Sam, "Stan tried to throw him away a few times and my mother threw my blankie away when I was eight cause it's for babies and I'm bad girl who doesn't deserve anything." added Sam.

Sammy giggled, "okay mommy!" replied Sam enjoying having her mouth and face wiped by Jill.

Sam leanes into Jill's touches and gazed lovingly into the woman's eyes, "Please," whispered Sam, "I just want to be held by you and never let go mama." added Sammy wanting to be as close as possible to Jill.

Jill wondered for a moment how did Sam look like as a baby and as a toddler, she wish she knew that because it would mean the girl was raised by hear. But she was content, even if she couldn't go back in time, they had the present and future together.

By picking Sam up she notice the girl was too light, of course she was small, but it looked like it was more than that, as if the girl was malnourished. She had to admit it felt good to hold Sam like this, like she was just a kid, by the look on the girl's face she was enjoying it too.

"Aw baby, don't cry." Jill said even if she was crying too. She picked Sam up and held the girl close. "That's okay, mama's here now, everything is gonna be okay." It felt very good to be called mama by Sam.

"If I knew that I'd hava cooked another thing for you!" Jill said, it should be bad to have to eat the same thing almost everyday. "But don't worry, we are going to try many dishes and we'll discover whatelse you like."

Jill touched the stuffed toys's paw. "Nice to meet you mr. Bigwig!" She winked at Sam. She felt really bad when she heard the girl's blanket was thrown away. "Princess, you deserve all the best things because you are a wonderful girl! Mama promises she will never forbid you from sucking your thumb or doing anything because it's too childish or babyshy, I just want you to be yourself." She said that looking right into the girl's eyes, because she wanted Sam to know she was serious about that.

"It's a promise Sam, mama is never going to let you go." Jill told the girl, she was getting emotional again because Sam looked like she trusted Jill a lot already.

Jill got up and put hers and Sam's dirty dishes inside the sink, she'd deal with it latter, right now she just wanted to cuddle the girl. "Let's go to the living room?!" She asked as she picked Sam up.

Sammy felt almost like a baby being picking up by Jill and stared at her.  It was amazing how many emotions were bubbling away inside her! Sam felt helpless yet safe and she didn't mind feeling helpless with Jill at all! All it did was make her feel more needy towards Jill and want her more.  Sam would be happy spending every single day in Jill's arms just being cuddled and cozying up to her.

Sam wasn't healthy but she wasn't so bad that she needed to actual care.  All she needed was a good diet and someone to look after her.   Sam had a soft round face and rosy cheeks with freckles across her the bridge of her nose along with a charming smile that was sweet and cute.  Sammy's hair had started to curl a little and was drying out causing her to go all fluffy and soft.

Sammy cried into Jill's shoulder and clung to her tightly, "Mama..." whispered Sam closing her eyes enjoying the comfort that Jill was giving her.  It was odd but she enjoyed and craved affection so badly! Sam held herself back from saying 'I love you' in fear that it was to soon for such a thing but she felt as if she found something that she had been missing for so long! Something that she should of had since she was a baby.  Sam nuzzled her head against Jill's shoulder and breathed in Jill's scent.  Everything felt perfect! Everything was perfect!

Sam soon calmed down and stopped crying

Sam giggled lightly, "It's okay mama! My pasta is normally burnt or undercook and doesn't taste that nice," continued Sam with a soft smile, "c-could you teach me how to cook? Please?" asked Sam stammering a little and looking at Jill hopefully.

Sam grinned more as Jill shook Mr.Bigwig's paw and moved Bigwig's paw slightly to return the handshake and made Bigwig give a slight salute to Jill, "He doesn't like Stan much or my mother," said Sam, "he see's things that he shouldn't." added Sam innocently sounding more like a five year old rather then a sixteen year old.

"T-that's okay?" stammered Sam, "I can suck my thumb and you won't get mad?" asked Sam in awe, "I-I..." paused Sam feeling shy and worried, "I sometimes wet the bed when I sleep but only when I'm really stressed out or when I can't sleep properly o-o-or when it's been an emotional day o-o-or when I'm scared...." stammered Sam nervously, "I don't mean to though!" added Sam her voice becoming slightly distraught and higher pitched as she stared Jill in the eye.

Sammy couldn't help herself after hearing the promise, "I love you!" stated Sam reaching out for Jill like a toddler reaching for it's mommy, "The living room sounds good." whispered Sam finding herself being picked up again.  Sam wrapped her arms around Jill's neck and her legs around Jill's waist.  It felt comfortable and she enjoyed how close she was to Jill right now! Sam placed her head down on Jill's chest and listened to Jill's heartbeat.  Sam found the sound soothing and slowly put her thumb back into her mouth and begun to suck, "Wove you..." mumbled Sam quietly unable to pronounce her 'l's' at all with her thumb in her mouth.

Jill held back the stare, looking deep in Sam's eyes, before smiling and bending her head to make the tip of her nose touch the tip of Sam's nose. Then she examinated the girl's face, paying attention to the all the details, from the freckles that were on Sam's cheek to her hair.

Jill rocked Sam in her arms, knowing the girl was still distressed. "Mama is here." She repeated and rested her head on Sam's one that was against her shoulder. She put her nose in the girl's head, and smiled noticing somehow Sam's smell reminded her of the way babies smell, which made her smile.

Acording to Sam's informations the situation was worse, it wans't a helthy think to just eat a few types of food, specially if the food was burnt ou undercooked. "Yes you can! Mama and you will cook together!" Jill answered, it would be a great oportunity of bonding and also she'd never leave Sam to deal with the kitchen alone, it could be dangerous.

Jill also bowed her head to match Mr..Bigwigs greeting. "Princess, what does Mr.Bigwigs see that he wasn't supposed to?" She asked gently, not wanting to disturb Sam. She just hoped it wasn't what she was thinking. She nodded her head at Sam's question. "You can suck your thumb, I know it gives you comfort and I'd never take something like taht away from you." She explained. Jill wasn't surprised to hear that Sam sometimes wetted the bed, the girl was constantly under heavy stress. She noticed the girl was nervous and held her hand. "Thank you for telling me that." She started. "I won't be mad if you wet the bed, I know it's not your fault." She promised, it didn't bother her, she was more worried about Sam's thoughts about that, like if the wet sheets bothered the girl.

Jill isntantly picked Sam up at hearing that, she never knew that being told 'I love you' could feel so good. "I love you too." She answered, she had no idea how ahe could love someone so quickly. Jill carried Sam to the sofa, when she had just sat she heard the girl saying again that she love Jill. "Mama loves you too." She said as she rubbed Sam back. She thought it was cute how Sam couldn't  pronounce some words.

"Honey, what do you want to watch?" Jill asked while holding the controler.

Sam continued to stare into Jill's eyes memorize by the shade of blue the woman had.  Sam thought back to her own eyes briefly and how they were a very pale blue almost like the sky. Sam blinked and giggled softly as Jill's nose touched her own and slightly shook her head a little to rub the tip of her nose against Jill's similar to how a dog kisses another dog with its snoot.

Sam felt incredibly small in Jill's arms and stared memorised at her as she was being rocked and comforted.  It had been so long since Sam felt any comfort from anyone at all and she sucked up any warmth and comfort Jill would give her and she planned on returning every hug, every kiss and every single 'i love you' with a thousand times more for how grateful she was to be with Jill and have this woman in her life that was her role model, her mama and her everything right now, Sam didn't want or need anything more besides Jill.   Sammy enjoyed the closeness they both shared right now.

Sam grinned at the mention of cooking with her mama! She would get to cook with Jill! She would get to cook with her Mama! Sam couldn't hide her excitement and started to giggle loudly while bouncing excitedly in her seat wanting nothing more but to bond with Jill as much as she could, "Your so awesome mama!" stated Sam grinning causing her eyes to light up even more.

Sam smiled at Jill's greeting to Mr.Bigwig only to frown for a moment and look at the stuff toy.  It was easy to talk through Mr.Bigwig then to talk straight to Jill for a lot of reasons but the main one being that it wouldn't be her fault that she told it would be Mr.Bigwig and she knew that it would open up a better level of communication with Jill.  It also meant that any serious talk would go through Mr.Bigwig until she felt a lot less anxious about everything even though she felt completely safe with Jill, Stan and Cathy were still in the back of her mind.

Sammy made Mr.BigWig bounce up to Jill and had him look around for a moment, "Bad people," said Sam putting on a slightly deeper voice for Mr.Bigwig, "it smells really bad," paused Mr.Bigwig while Sam moved closer to Jill, "smells like beer a-and there were weird sounds," continued Sam, "loads of bad people," paused Sam, "he brings them over from the casino and mother brings other guys over when Stan isn't around," sighed Sam feeling nervous, "I saw a bag of white stuff a week ago..." added Sam no longer using a deeper voice and no longer using Mr.Bigwig to talk, "I think it might be drugs but I dunno b-but Mr. Bigwig saw something really bad then and he's really scared cause he doesn't wanna get into trouble at all." whimpered Sammy, "b-b-but I don't think they hurt him that badly." added Sammy

Stan had been going to the casino for the last ten years of his life and had been losing a lot of money but also making friends with people in that casino.  The casino was an independent and didn't have a big name but it did deal in drugs which gave the casino and the people working for and at the casino a decent sum of money.  Stan because of his small debt hides drugs and host parties at the house he lives in with Cathy and Sam while also working part-time for the casino to gather any information on any possible people that might rat them out as a group through any means necessary.   This suited Stan because it allowed him to get his anger out.

Cathy had not been happy at all with anything and had been miserable for a long time and would try anything to find a 'rush' even if that meant cheating on Stan or doing other type of activities that she shouldn't.  Cathy didn't care that she brought guys around and that some would mention Sam while in bed with her or that she even joked along.  Cathy didn't care for Sam nor for the fact Sam could be in real danger.

Sammy smiled and sucked her thumb finding a great sense of comfort in doing so.  Sam had nothing but love and adoration for Jill right now.  It meant the world to her that Jill was so accepting of her babyish and childlike habits even though she shouldn't be doing them at her age at all according to what her parents said and the teasing she would sometimes get from her peers.

Sammy relaxed and smiled even bigger at Jill as her worries flew away with each passing second that she was with her Mama.   Sam thought for a moment, "I've been really good hiding it from them but I think they are starting to get suspicious." replied Sam softly, "I feel bad for hiding it but I feel really scared to tell them anything cause they aren't nice and I don't wanna get hurt." added Sammy.

Sam laid in Jill's arms again and stared up at her with complete and utter love.   Sammy closed her eyes a little and snuggled up at Jill while continuing to suck her thumb only to hear those words....Sam's heart fluttered and she gave Jill the brightest and biggest smile yet.

Sam glanced at the TV, "I dunno," replied Sam, "I normally don't watch TV and just stay in my room," paused Sam trying to think, "the last thing I watched was Singing in the Rain and Chicago in my music class." added Sam with a soft smile as she nuzzled her cheeks against Jill's chest feeling completely protected in her Mama's arms.

It amazed Jill that Sam was so affectionate and was willing to return Jill's feelings, considering the girl had never had any love of her mother and stepfather, what they gave her was the opposite of love. Jill felt proud of herself because Sam trusted her a lot, or the girl would never consider her a mama so fast, or even show she cared about Jill, she just hoped to honor the girl's trust and her love. Jill had never thought of herself as the motherly type, lately she had even been thinking she'd never have kids, but Sam had awaken a part of Jill that she never knew she had inside of her.

Jill smiled at Sam's reaction. "Easy there princess." She said because the girl was bouncing. "Thank you, you are awsome too." Sam looked so happy about simple things, she really was an awsome girl. "Which you think we shoul cook together first cookies or cupcakes?"

She knew that some children expressed their real feelings through objects like stuffed toys. It's completely possible that Sam did the same thing because it was easier for her, it could feel like she wasn't the one speaking her thoughts, something she shouldn't be used to do having to live with two people that didn't care abou her well being.

Jill was more and more shocked with each new thing Sam told her, she could't believe how close to danger the girl had been! "Mr.Bigwig, I think it was drugs, but you and Sammy never did get close to that or did you?" She asked concerned and stroked Sam's hand that was holding the stuffed bunny. "Can you tell me what was the really bad thing you saw? I know it's scary, but I am Sam's mama and I want to protect her, she can tell me anything and she won't be in trouble." She said looking at the bunny, hoping those guys that Sam said her mother brought home had never touched the girl.

Jill knew that Stan was addicted in gambling, that was one of the reasons she divorced him, she only discovered it months after they had already been married or she'd think twice before doing so. But she never knew that he was on drugs, although it didn't surprise her.  She hated Stan for the way he had been acting towards Sam, but she hated Cathy even more, not that Stan didn't have to respect Sam because he wasn't her real dad, but because Cathy was the girl's mother, she should be the one protecting her from everything, not letting her stepfather treat her like that or worse exposing the girl to even more danger. She'd never let Sam go back to their house for sure.

Jill couldn't say that she had ever met a teenager that acted like Sam did, but it wasn't up to her to judge people. If it was what took to calm down the girl and make her happy, she'd accept it and even encourage the girl if it was needed. She knew that many people would't understand the girl, but she'd protect her from them the best she could.

"I'm sorry to hear that, but I promise you won't have to do that here, I want you to tell me because that way I can help you deal with it." She said sincerely. "I'd never get mad or hurt you because of something like that."

Jill gave the girl a big smile back, the girl was looking so happy and loved that it warmed her heart just at thinking how much Sam had changed and wasn't sad like she was one hour ago when she knocked on her door.

"Why don't we start with a classic? Have you ever watched the lady and the trump?" Jill asked as she selected the movie in NetFlix. She didn't want to think about Sam's childhood, how could the girl have never watched a children's movie?! She kissed the top of the girl's head and started caressing her hair like she earlier when she noticed Sam liked that.

Sam didn't know why Jill was so affectionate with her giving the fact that she was Stan's step-daughter and the two of them should not get along so well and should not be this loving towards each other yet they were! Sam felt accepted and loved by Jill despite the short amount of time they have spent together.  Sam didn't even know what Jill was truly like at all besides what she has experienced so far with her and viewed Jill as an angel.  It was a childish way to view someone that she had just met but she didn't care because to her Jill was an angel and someone who had giving her so much love and care in such a short amount of time.

Sammy giggled and calmed down a little unable to stop herself from smiling brightly at Jill.  The pet name 'princess' gave Sam chills and a warm feeling in her chest! How could Jill be so loving to her? When not even her own mother could give her the time of day? Sam wasn't sure how she could show Jill how much she already loved and appreciate her.  Jill thought she was awesome too? Sam's confidence sky rocketed in a matter of seconds upon hearing that!  Sam eyes widen, "Cookies! Please...." said Sammy who had a terrible sweet tooth and didn't have many sweet treats at all.

Sam was stroking Bigwig's back a little feeling the soft fur on the back of her finger.  Bigwig was old and raggedy, an eye was missing and one ear was slightly torn but it held a lot of value to Sam and was Sam's closes ally against her household.

Bigwig stared up at Jill, "No to scared to go close to the bag," replied Sam, "saw some on the table though." added Sam softly.

Sam chewed her bottom lip before nodding her and Bigwig's head, "I-I saw t-t-the guy's...thing" said Sam, "but I kicked him and he ran." admitted Sammy softly, "He hasn't been back since but he said he would get me for that and mother been acting odd since then," continued Sam, "she took my photo a few times and I dunno why." added Sam with a frown.

Cathy deeply resented Sam for being born and didn't abort her because she was against abortion but she didn't view Sam as her daughter and liked the idea of getting rich quickly and had been for years trying to make money by any means possible.  It's only recently that she had started thinking about using Sam to make some quick cash by selling photos of her to strangers.

Sammy nodded, "I understand mama, thank you for helping me and caring for me even though you don't have to," said Sam, "it means the world to me." added Sammy with a gentle smile not used to having conversations with someone who cared for her and wanted her to be safe.

Sam continued to cuddle up to Jill, "Lady and the Tramp? What's that?" asked Sammy softly.

Sam would of purred if she was a kitten from Jill stroking her hair like that! It brought a great sense of comfort to the small teen and she felt peaceful being in Jill's arms and being so close to her almost as if she belonged in Jill's arms and was always meant to be there.  Sam watched the movie with interest and was memorised by the animation! Sammy glared at the cats on the screen and pouted at how mean they were to Lady!

Jill didn't really think about the fact that Sam was Stan's step daughter,  it only mattered because she knew him and his personality. She was sure she'd accept Sam just the same, even if she had never seen her before, because it was the girl that made her have the feelings she had. Jill didn't want to fail Sam, she wanted to be the perfect mama for the girl to try to make up for everything the girl have to go through.
Jill didn't like spoiled kids, but she couldn't help herself and spoil Sam, the girl deserved to have her wishes fufilled and have someone to dote on her like she was a princess, which in Jill's mind the girl was. "Cookies it is then! Chocolate ones?" In her head she was doing a list of everything they'd need to bake the cookies.
Sam was stroking Bigwig's back a little feeling the soft fur on the back of her finger.  Bigwig was old and raggedy, an eye was missing and one ear was slightly torn but it held a lot of value to Sam and was Sam's closes ally against her household.
"Bigwig is right, baby. You shouldn't come close to that stuff, no one should." Jill pointed out relived that at least Sam didn't have contact with that.
Jill's frown deepened at hearing that, at least he hand't touched Sam or she didn't even know what she'd do. "Honey, what he did is very wrong, he should have never done that. Also, I want you to know that you don't have ever to show your things if don't feel comfortable to do it." She lectured Sam. "You did the right thing by runnig away." Jill said and caressed Bigwig's head with her forefinger. "You don't have to worry about it anymore, ok?!" Jill couldn't even believe that Cathy was trying to sell her own daughter like that, Sam was a young and besides she didn't even act like the average teenager did. Jill wanted to know something, but was almost afraid to ask. "In those photos you were wearing any clothes?"
Jill was recording in her head everything Sam was telling her, it would be important to tell everything to her lawyer, of course, if Sam let her, she didn't want to expose the girl against her will.
Jill swooned. "Aw, you are such a polite little girl. You are welcome my dear." She said smiling. "Mama has to because she loves her little girl." She added truthfully, she did't feel like caring for Sam was an obligation, but loving the girl made her want to take care of her.
Sam continued to cuddle up to Jill, "Lady and the Tramp? What's that?" asked Sammy softly.
Jill thought the little noise Sam made was adorable. "Oh my! Why there's a kitten here?! I thought I only had my Sammy here." She joked lovingly. She bounced the girl a little, she was amazed at how good it felt to have Sam in her arms. She was a little startled when Sam frowned she wasn't paying any attention to the TV, too busy at looking to the girl.  As soon as she looked at the TV she understood what made the girl frown, the siamese cats were in the screen. She caressed the girl's forehead. "They are mean, aren't they?!"

Sam wanted to be the best person that she could be now because of Jill! She had so much more hope and confidence in herself now that she hadn't had previously and that was all thanks to her Mama.  Sam was and would be uncertain and anxious of many things to come later on but at least now she had someone who was there for her and that meant a lot to the young teen.

Sam was unaware of Jill's feeling concerning spoiled kids or kids in general if anything Sam was shocked that Jill didn't have any kids of her own giving the fact that she was so motherly towards her!  Sammy smiled brightly at hearing 'chocolate' and nodded, "Please! If that's okay, mama?" asked Sam not wanting to over-step her mark at all because of how giving and loving Jill had been so far.   Sam was unsure how she could ever repay Jill for such kindness! Sam didn't know that other kids her age could be spoilt or rebelled against there parents or could eat anything that they wanted no matter what.  Sam in a lot of ways was sheltered away from her peer group by Cathy and seen to be 'odd' because she didn't join in on the latest gossip and never held any romantic crushes on boys or girls in her school while a lot of students were already dating and doing more adult activities.

Sammy nodded a little, "I saw a couple of people take it," admitted Sam, "it was really scary." added Sam resting her head on Jill's arm not quite able to reach Jill's shoulder yet.

Sammy listened to Jill's lecture and nodded.  Sam was glad that Jill thought she did the right thing because that eased any doubt she had in the back of her mind and made her believe that she was in the right for running despite her fear of what could have happened if she didn't run or if she decided to return home where she had no doubt that Stan would either be drunk or high.

Sam smiled, "Okay mama! I won't worry about it anymore cause I'm here with you now, yeah? And they don't know where I am so I'm fine!" stated Sam brightly with a childlike grin.  Sam was half-aware of the danger that she had been in but not aware enough of the full dangers that had surrounded her in that household because despite Cathy and Stan's terrible behaviours Sam still managed to hold on tightly to her innocence and to a smaller extent her naivety but that didn't make her dumb.

Sam looked down at Bigwig and sighed softly, "No," replied Sam, "she made me do some weird poses but it really scared me cause she never spends time with me and that's the longest we've ever spent time together..." added Sam feeling nervous about the photographs and Cathy but she didn't know why she felt so unsure about them or why she felt scared of her mother! Sam was trying her best to forget the 'photo' seasons she had to do or else.

Sammy smiled brightly at Jill! She was polite? Sam giggled softly enjoying the fact that Jill thought positively of her! Sam smiled, "Your the first person to ever love me," replied Sam softly, "it really means a lot mama." added Sam quietly getting emotional again from how much love Jill was giving her.

Sammy instantly giggled and begun to purr and meow a lot more and started to wriggle playfully in Jill's arms trying to imitate a cat which caused the teen to giggle more even though her giggles were coming out more similar to a baby gurgling because of her thumb in her mouth.

Sammy nodded and kept up her small pout, "don't like them," replied Sam, "I don't like it when people are mean." added Sam who had to deal with Stan and Cathy along with some kids at school but she did have a small circle of people she did hang out with at school even though she didn't hang out with them after and didn't view them as friends as such because she didn't have a very good concept of what a friend was despite the small group always trying to get her to come out with them to the arcade or skating park.

Jill had always thought that kids were boring, she could't see why people wanted to have kids, Sam changed that idea, although she Sam was a teenager, well, at least she had the age of a teenager. And she could even think about playing with the girl to entertain her, she coudn't believe that she changed that much so fast! "It's! Chocolate cookies are mama's favorite, did you know that?" It was endearing how the girl asked for her opinion about everything, but also a little bit sad because she knew Sam wasn't used to making choices freely. Somehow Jill thought she got the best of both world's with Sam, the girl wasn't still a child, but acted like one, like she was a teenager and a kid in just one person. The girl had the sweetness of a child without being a rebel like most of the teenagers she knew.
Sammy nodded a little, "I saw a couple of people take it," admitted Sam, "it was really scary." added Sam resting her head on Jill's arm not quite able to reach Jill's shoulder yet.
Jill was satisfied that Sam had paid attention to everything she said, that was some important information that she wanted the girl to always remember. She didn't intend to let the girl go back to her previous house, still the lecture she was giving was important for her hole life.

"You are right, baby, from now on you don't have to worry, mama will take care of everything." She promised. It wasn't fair that Sam had to deal with so many bad things and at such a young age. Jill just wanted the girl to worry about things like which movie should them watch together or which new stuffed bear wanted to have.
Jill took a deep breath of relieve at hearing that, which didn't mean she agreed with what Cathy made the girl do, but at least it didn't envolve Sam being naked. "It's okay to feel scared because of the way she acted. Usually a kid should feel safe with their parents, but she always made you feel the opposite, it's all her fault." She felt the neeed to reassure Sam just in cause the girl felt guilty because she wasn't comfortable with her own mother. She wondered for how many years would Cathy be in jail for child pornography.

"Well, you are the first kid that I loved." She told the girl, feeling happy that Sam could recognize her love, she wanted nothing more than to shower the girl with all the love and affection she had in her. "And YOU mean a lot to me." She added.

Jill playfully rubbed Sam's back like she would do to a cat. "Should I buy you a ball of wool so that you can play little kitty?!" She teased the girl a little bit. Although when Sam started to giggle she stopped sounding like a cat, sounding more like a baby.
"It's not nice when people are mean." Jill said, knowing that Sam knew that more than everyone, having to live with Stan and Cathy. Jill had no idea if Sam had friends, she thought maybe the girl didn't because of the way she was, she was afraid the girl was bullied because of her babyish antics. "Princess, mama's getting sleepy, when the movie is over we will go to bed, okay?" She said even if she wasn't sleepy, she just wanted the girl to rest because that had been a hard day on her.

Sammy smiled brightly, "Really! Mine too! It's really yummy!" exclaimed Sam excitedly and happy that they had even more in common then she first thought!

Sam smiled again at Jill and at the thought that she didn't have to worry about anything again because Jill would take care of her and any problems she might have.  Sam could only stare in awe at her new mama.

Sam nodded and frowned, "So what she did is bad?" asked Sam slowly coming to the realisation that what Cathy had done wasn't good and that she should feel safe with her and not scared.  Sam still felt guilty but felt better about it, "I wish I ran away earlier and came to you," said Sam, "or thought about going to you," sighed Sam, "I've spent a couple of nights out on the streets before but with each fit Stan throws now it seems to last longer and longer," continued Sam, "I would spend a night or two outside when I was eleven if he was upset or if mother was upset but when I was fourteen I would spend at least double that if they were upset." added Sam rubbing her eyes, "The only reason I came to you now is cause...well," paused Sam, "Stan always talks about you a-a-and I thought that...." paused Sam, "thought that whatever he was saying would be the opposite and I was right your not mean, your kind and so much more! I h-had an accident," admitted Sam, "when he shouted at me its why I ran cause I was so scared." added Sam looking at Jill.

Sammy smiled at that fact, "Really?" squeaked Sam amazed, "You make me feel really special mama," admitted Sam, "it makes me happy that I mean a lot to you cause you mean a lot to me! I dunno what I would of done without you." added Sam with a smile.

"I'd probably be wondering the streets now still." admitted Sam quietly, "I normally stay in the bus station or find a library that's open all night." added Sam.

Sammy grinned, "That sounds fun mama!" replied Sam, "Can it be a blue ball of wool?" asked Sam jokingly.

Sam nodded with a frown.  Her mother was mean, Stan was mean, most of the kids at school were mean except a select few who accepted her despite her babyish tendencies but that didn't stop others from bullying her at all and some of the teachers didn't like her at all because they thought she didn't care and didn't pay attention in class but that wasn't the case at all! She did care but she couldn't pay attention cause of how tired and beat down she was yet they didn't seem to notice that about her or even try talking to her about it which made Sam feel very alone and not that trusting of adults in general.

Sam nodded, "Okay mama! Bed sounds good." replied Sam.

Thirty minutes later Sam had falling asleep in Jill's arms unable to keep awake to see the end of the movie.

During the night Sam would whimper every couple of minutes before calming down again.
