Shy-Diapers
Paige was a 6 year old girl. She was a happy little girl, and was always smiling. She often got into trouble though. After having a high fever one day when she was 18 months old, and her foster parents failed to get her medical treatment, she lost most of her hearing. meeko
Growing up, Patrick had always known he wanted a large family. It was part of the reason he went into teaching middle school social studies, along with his love of history. But he had never imagined the possibility that he and his wife would struggle to get pregnant. Arlo, their now six-year-old, eventually came about via means of IVF. Their family still didn't feel complete though, which is why they had eventually turned to fostering. Link to comment
Shy-Diapers
(The fact that she's hard of hearing isn't known. Nobody had bother to take her to a doctor about it and she's been bounced between foster homes and her biological parents home. Sorry to nit pick but that's a big part of her character is she tends to "act out" but it's because she can't really hear and therefore can't follow directions really.) Paige looked up. She could tell the man was talking to her. She could only make out a word or two, something about the house. She looked small to be a six year old. She followed Patrick, looking around at everything. She got used to not getting attached to anything and was used to being taken away from a home because of one reason or another. She didn't have much hope for a real family. Link to comment
