Amelia lets out a sigh as she hits send. Another long day at the office, another long day away from her daughter. Amelia is a single mother of a teenager, her husband left her for another woman when her daughter was little. Ever since, Amelia had to work extra hard to put food on the table and to keep the lights on. She's since advanced in her company. But now, she's gotten a promotion of sorts. She'll be able to work from home and she managed to even get a raise. She knows that things have been rough for her daughter since she had to work so much. Her daughter has been a latchkey kid since she was about nine years old. Many nights, Amelia comes home and dinner is already cooked for her.

Katie just sits in her room, her arms wrapped around her legs hugging them closely. I pull the covers over my head the thoughts still whirling round from today. Why me? Why pick on me? I haven't done anything wrong. I my work keep my head down but still nothing. I just want to go back. Go back to when I was little. No problems no worries nothing. I just want to go back there again, I start to sob into my pillow.

Amelia walks up the stairs and into Katie's room without knocking. "Katie, sweetheart," she says softly. She walks to to the bed and sits on it, gently pulling back the covers to see her sobbing baby girl. "Oh baby." She takes Katie into her arms and slowly rocks her like she used to. "Shhhh, it's okay. Mommy's here."

I lie in my mommy's arms snuggling in tight. I miss my mommy holding her. "I miss the way you used to rock me like this," I cry. Holding on tight to her mommy never wanting this to ever end.

"Oh my baby," I coo, stroking your face. "Don't worry, Mommy's here. Mommy's got her little baby. Don't worry. Mommy's going to be around more to take care of you, yes I will cutie pie." I shower you with kisses and pinch your cheeks to show how much I love you.

I feel safe showered in her kisses just like when I was a little girl. "mommy I miss being a little girl," I sigh. "I miss this mommy." I start to snuggle I'm more, covered by my mommys love.

"Well baby, Mommy has some good news," I coo. "Mommy is going to be working from home and you're going to be homeschooled so you can go back to being my little girl, how does that sound?"

"I'd love that mommy," I smile sniffling. "Thank you mommy I love you so much." I give you a big hug and a kiss thankful I'll never have to go back there again.

"Good, now how about my precious baby girl takes a nap?" I coo, pinching your cheeks. "Mommy has an errand to run but I promise I will be back in no time." I tap your nose and tuck you in tightly.

"Ok mommy," I lie down on the couch as my eyes start to flutter. I instantly fall asleep.

I go to the store and buy diapers that'll fit you along with wipes and powder. I get you lots of cutesy babyish outfits and some new toys. I walk through the door holding my bags a few hours later. "Pumpkin, wake up. Mommy has a surprise for her wittle girl."

I stretch my arms and begin to wake up still a bit groggy. But then I see you and my face lights up, "what's my surprise mommy?"

"Why don't we get Mommy's wittle pwecious into a bath first." I help you up and lead you upstairs. I strip you down and start the bath, putting you in when it's ready.

I sit in playing with the water, "you going to help me was myself mommy?"

"Yes I am," I coo. I soap up your body and make sure to get you squeaky clean. "What a good girl you are sitting for Mommy while she washes your hair." I praise as I scrub in your shampoo. I have you tilt your head back so I can wash it out.

I get some shampoo in my eyes and start to cry. Mommy my eyes hurt

"Oh my poor baby, Mommy's so sorry." I wash out your eyes and kiss them. Once bath time is over, I lay you on a towel and start to wipe you down. I then powder your bottom and pull out a fluffy diaper. "Here we go my little precious," I coo as I tape it on.

"Mommy I'm wearing a diaper now?" I question still lying flat out on the bed as you finish putting the diaper on.

"Yes, you're going to be Mommy's baby girl, how does that sound?" I coo as I dress you in Carebear footie pajamas and put your hair in two bunches.

I sit there mommy tying my hair back. I turn and face you with my big brown eyes, "I love it mommy."

"Mommy is so glad sweetie," I coo as I lift you up. "Now let's get some num nums in your tummy." I tickle you and carry you downstairs. I sit you in your old booster seat and take out your favorite meal. I start eating myself while also spoon feeding you.

I sit there with my mouth wide open as you start to turn my food into an airplane travelling into my tummy, but often I get it all over my face.

"Aww my messy baby, how cute." I wipe your face and then lift you up. "Now Pumpkin, when you were little, you breast fed until you were well into your toddler years. I think that's what my precious little one needs again." I move down my top to allow you to nurse.

I immediately latch on and start to drink milk greedily.

"Awww what a good baby," I coo. "Yes, you drink right on up and nurse for mommy. Thatta girl. What a pretty little girl, you are my pretty little princess aren't you sweetie pie?" I sit down on the couch, adjusting you to make you as comfortable as possible.
