A "Normal" Babysitting Job

Chris let go, but was still a tad bit scared.

Cassie couldn't leave Chris the way he was, so held off on her change a little while longer. "I'm going to stay here with you for now. Okay baby boy?' She replied kissin his cheek.

"Ok. Me no wan you to leave." Chris says calming down.

"I know sweetie, but I need a diaper change sometime too" Cassie replied cuddling Chris closely.

"Otay, I be bwave." Chris said as he let go of Cassie.

"Here sweetie" Cassie replied as she covered him a blanket. "This will protect you while I'm gone" She gave him a kiss before going back to her diaper change.

Chris cuddled into the blanket and started sucking his thumb.

Cassie had quick work of her diaper change and returned to Chris' side. "See sweetie that wasn't so bad" She said as she snuggled him in her arms.

Chris snuggles you as the phone rings. "Tewaphone winging!" Chris says happily.

"Thanks baby" Cassie replied as she answered the phone. "Hello?"

"Cassie, it's Chris' mom, Jennifer. We won't be home for the next 2 months. There has been a death in the family. One of Jack's friends died. Jack had considered him to be

Cassie didn't have time to answer before Jennifer hung up. She turned to Chris with some minor worry on her face. "Sweetie, that was your mommy. She huh.... she said they're going to be gone longer than they thought. But I'll be here for you for you the entire time" She replied as she went to hug him

Chris pushed her away and ran away crying. "I wan mommy!" He said as he ran and hid.

"Oh honey I'm so sorry" Cassie replied following after him. "Chris sweetie can I make you feel better in anyway?"

Chris turns around with tears staining his face. "You be Mommy?"

Cassie sighed before saying "Okay honey I'll be mommy" She kneeled down and continued "Come to mommy"

Chris ran over and hugged Cassie. "Mommy." Chris said contentedly.

Cassie smiled happy to see Chris happy again. "Want breakfast honey?" She asked picking him up into her arms.

Chris nodded as he cuddled into Cassie.

Cassie placed Chris in his highchair as she went about cooking.

Cassie made sure Chris could see everything she was doing as she cooked. "I like pancake sweetie?"

Cassie smiled as she continued to cook their breakfast. She finished shortly after served up Chris' plate first. She cut up his meal and began to feed him. "Open up my little prince"
