Claire led Kris upstairs and once they were inside their apartment hugged her again.

Kris just fell into claire arms crying

Claire just let Kris cry it out as she carried her to her room. Laying down with Kris in her arms, she rubbed her back and rocked her slightly.

"Do you think Danni only became my friend again because she felt bad ?" Kris ask after while

[musicaddict]

"No, Kris. I think Danni genuinely loves you and maybe that's why she didn't say anything. Maybe she didn't know what or if she should say anything and thought later that knowing would just hurt you." Claire said. "You're her best friend, Kris."

"Thanks I needed to hear that's what made me so mad thinking that Danni would that " Kris said after thinking about it for a bit

"I'm sure Danni never meant to hurt you by not saying anything." Claire said and kissed Kris's forehead.

"I know " Kris mumble shyly as she cuddle up to claire

"You going to talk to her about it?" Claire asked as they cuddled.

"I think I should " Kris said

"You want to do that today or another day?" Claire asked.

[babygoth]

"I don't want to move again " Kris said clearly

[musicaddict]

"Not what I asked." Claire smiled and held Kris closer.

"But it answer it I don't want to go out again so I won't see Danni today " Kris said like it was the simples thing ever

"You see, Kris, there's this little invention call a telephone and you could use it to ask Danni to come over and talk." Claire lightly teased.

"I just can't see her today not with how I feel right now " kris said truthfully before lightly

[musicaddict]

"Okay then." Claire said. "Just don't put off the conversation too long that the topic festers."

[babygoth]

"I won't I'll talk to her tomorrow " kris said still cuddle up to claire when without think kris thumb slip into her mouth

"Good girl." Claire whispered and switched out Kris's thumb with a pacifier, saying it wasn't as bad for Kris's teeth before kissed Kris's cheek before falling asleep for the night.

Kris took the pacifier and fell asleep right away holding onto claire tightly all night

Claire left early the next morning for a case, leaving Kris a note saying that she'd left a plate with breakfast covered in the microwave for her and a reminder to talk to Danni.

Kris woke up with a pout when she didn't see claire but smile a little when she saw the note she let out a sigh she then got change, dress and ate before calling Danni

Danni answered her phone with barely a glance, focusing more on the paperwork in front of her than anything. "I didn't think you were aware I owned a cellphone. What's wrong?"

"You knew Rachel and Jenny use the types on me " Kris said simply as she was drawing new stuff for her next book

"Oh." Danni said as it was all she could force out. She suspected she had just gone very pale and shakily set the pen in her hand down. Was Kris angry? Upset? did she never want to speak to her again? Danni shoved her panic aside and nervously asked, "You - uh - you remember?"
