I think the usefulness has far more to do with absorbancy, the fastenters, the fit, etc. I know there are some who just hate the "cloth-like" outer shell, but that's pretty far down my list of deciding factors. -RMS P.S. They sure don't make those baby diapers anymore like they were back then, I am still small enough now that the largest size would fit me, like I said too bad they don't make them that way anymore.
