Funniest thing I seen in ages!!!! And the police don't even try to take him off the roof... strange.

It would be difficult to pull him off the roof without injuring him, which could result in a complaint and lawsuit. Note that most of the surrounding people are black; if they injured him there was the possibility of a race-riot. Much credit to the police for their patience and humour!

I hope the magistrates have a sense of humour as well.

That event would never unfold like that in America. The cops here would immediately taze and/or pepper spray the guy and pull him off the car and onto the ground. That is, of course, if he ever made it on top of the car in the first place.

Yeah if that had been the essex police they would have probably batoned his legs or dragged him down. Looks like they were just british transport police.

Here's another laugh:

Whole police station of about 30 officers or so to take down 1 guy with a metal pole. Why not just taser gun him?
