maly
It has been many years now since my 'daddy' died but there are times when i really miss him! I suppose this time of year can bring these feelings to the surface more quickly and more often, Also when life is stressful as is the case at the moment,(my shop closes on the 24th ouch!) I remember the times when He would just hold me while i cried into His strong chest then gently put me to bed in a cosy warm nappy with my teddy and hold me through out the night. The words from the Fleet wood mac song sum it all up nicely, Oh Daddy, You know you make me cry, How can you love me, I don't understand why. Oh Daddy, If I can make you see, If there's been a fool around, It's got to be me. Oh Daddy, You soothe me with your smile, You're letting me know, You're the best thing in my life. Oh Daddy, If I can make you see, If there's been a fool around, It's got to be me. Why are you right when I'm so wrong, I'm so weak but you're so strong, Everything you do is just alright, And I can't walk away from you, baby If I tried. But i just have to keep trying to do this life to the best of my ability with out Him even though it hurts every day. And even after ten years He still holds me in my dreams and i still kiss His warming lips. Sorry if this brings anyone down but i just needed to share at the moment. Mal. Link to comment
D_Rainger
Strong fathers are a blessing. I won't bore you with my story. Let me only add that I like to think of being reunited with my father and my other loved ones at some time and under better conditions in the future. -DR Link to comment
curiositykilledthecat
okay I'm confused, we talking paternal parents or abdl parents? I kind of have very opposite relationships between the two. I love my paternal father dearly but affectionate and compassionate he is not.(At this point I'm glad, it'd come off as creepy from him.) maly
Yup we are definitely talking A/B Daddy! My biological dad has the caring capacity of a snow man, that is why in the original post i put 'daddy' in quotation marks. Hope that clears it up for you. O and Merry xmas to you all. Mal.
