acemanner
I've always wondered why the Kids on the diaper packaging are so happy. Dosent really seem like there doing anything fun. Though Im sure their parents are smiling all the way to the bank. Link to comment
ultrapampers
They're wearing soft, comfy diapers, why wouldn't they be happy? Link to comment
Rawr
You could say the same thing about anything - why are the people looking so happy in the toothpaste commercials? I *never* look that pleased to be brushing my teeth in the morning! Link to comment
babykeiff
A smile is infectious - and makes the viewer smile. This can make the person smiling happy. Once a prospective customer is happy, the prospective customer is more likely to purchase the product. Therefore, it is marketing intelligence to display a product in use (a baby wearing only a diaper) with the product user / model smiling. To get this effect from a model that can't talk can be difficult, so the parent or a professional gets the model (in this case a baby) to laugh while the photograph is being taken. Any extra blemish that is captured in the photograph is removed using Photoshop or similar image enhancement software before publication. Since a photo-shoot can last a few hours before the correct image is taken, normally the diaper has been worn for an while and can be wet / soiled. This blemish is also removed from the final published shot. Video shoots can last days and weeks before the correct individual frames are obtained, which are all individually edited and enhanced to create the published commercial. Some diaper commercial have taken weeks to shoot, and there is a slight difference in the length of the child's hair between the first shot and the last. Link to comment
