Choos
Hi all, I have been looking for a better booster pad for sometime and had these recommended as an off the cuff remark by the sales assistant at nappyland. http://www.ilcaustralia.org/home/search4.a...C=13&MinC=1 http://www.cart.com.au/vhp/view/4836/379311/ I bought the medium size and found if you fold one out and fold the extra cloth back behind them it will fit nicely inside the guards of the nappy/diaper (assuming it has leakage guards) and not being too thick (for me at least) they don't cause that dredded air gap which can cause bad leaks. They seem to have quite a lot of gel in them so they swell up lots and not having a plastic backing allow whatever they can't absorb to slowly transfer to the outer pad/nappy/diaper allowing for better absorbtion as well as adding the extra capacity. I bought one pack of 96 for around $20 (australian) and they seem to be about the same size as a small babies nappy (no idea of the equivalent sizing.) Oh yeah you can only fit one medium pad inside a medium nappy/diaper due to their length. Link to comment
Choos
I thought I would upload a few pics of one of the medium sized as a booster for a "Tena Slip Super medium" (made in malaysia.) Booster Pad and Nappy out of packets side by side. Initially folding out to see difference in length. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y284/Choo...-07-08_0903.jpg Folded out. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y284/Choo...-07-08_0904.jpg Wings of Merit Booster folded behind the rest of the pad. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y284/Choo...-07-08_0905.jpg Booster pad in place inside the leg gatherers of the nappy. http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y284/Choo...-07-08_0906.jpg These do NOT have a sticky back to them and I think require the wings to be folded back behind to fit nicely inside the leg gatherers and my assumption is that folding out the extra wings will provide a couple of layers of flow control to the main padding of the nappy hopefully dispersing the liquid helping the absorbtion rate as well as giving the extra capacity.
