Darn! Was hoping to have one chapter or part of one from Lisa's perspective if she does play into CPS getting involved. I do understand keeping everything in Sarah's perspective though. You have had a very good writing style throughout the story. When this one is done the Sequel will be a pleasure to read.

Even if they did know something was wrong, legally they couldn't do anything and would have to tell someone in the system, then they have checks and balances. Especially since they said it was starting to get cold outside. Possibly fall when school would normally be starting again, which would mean she spent a school semester and summer break like that, which would explain why her thoughts are all jumbled and her mind hasn't fully kicked into high gear yet. Once properly cleaned up again and protected, a good meal and some time out of the house will hopefully help her wake up mentally.

I really hope her sister goes with her to Lisa's house. Her sister needs to also unlearn that Sarah is a baby because she has to wear diapers. Emilia is going to need therapy and work to undo the effects brought on by all this.

Come to accept them but in the wrong way. It was still negligence in the first place that caused things to get as bad as they are. She should have been seen by a doctor, and in the examination of the cause, they would have found damage that was likely caused by the fall in cheer leading. The mom is guilty of negligence at minimum. With Lisa's support finding out the right way what was going on, she could have come to accept them, if surgery wouldn't have been able to fix the problem. Looking forward to this! I was wondering if that was the route her mom was going to go as well. We can tell some time has passed by the way the author did a clever time jump in the day after day routine losing track of time. If the proper results from work being done isn't being turned in, I would suspect they would get concerned. Also, Lisa is good with computers. I'm not against the idea that she got access to her home network or one of them gave her access if they were ever on the wifi, and discovered the camera feed.

My theory on why Lisa hasn't done anything is there is no legal recourse right now for her uncle, even if she does suspect anything. The first day back at school would be the best chance for her friends and Lisa's uncle to get her in a private room and confront her. Lisa should have noticed the BS answers when she asked about testing, and then when Sarah said what she did at the mall, I am sure Lisa, having things happen to her in the past, knows something is going on. I think Sarah is finally at a point if pushed enough she'll just blurt it all out and spill out of exhaustion, and saying that she deserves what is happening to her, which will then force Lisa's uncle to get involved. I suspect that Lisa and her uncle are going to be a big part of Sarah's recovery from all this. I do feel that whatever damage has been done for the lack of doctor care, it could be at a point where diapers are going to be permanent if surgery is not an option to fix things. The fact that she has had accidents without feeling anything clues in on that. I have a feeling MW will adjust chapter numbers as needed to get the story finished. I think it was said the numbers were an estimation before. We know it's about six long chapters, and there is also the option of an epilogue at the end as well. We are all invested in this story and are rooting for Sarah and justice for what she has gone through.

Ok now I'm really intrigued by what could be going on with Hortensia and what the ghost wife knows. It also shows that she is okay with Jenny being around.

I hope Hortensia gets properly dressed for bed, especially now. Taking responsibility for not messing things up at night is a necessity. I also hope she isn't the only one to take the fall as it wasn't just her, and that Jennifer cools down (maybe with Brian's help) and doesn't send her to Cynthia's. I like that Brian is opening up to her and that she isn't having flashbacks. Maybe this new form of role play for her will give her a chance to heal if she does go along with it. I'm sure there is a snapped shirt in that tote that isn't as hot. Jennifer should realize when one of the boys said she threatened them, then it wasn't just her. Also: Thanks for the regular-ish updates. It's a highlight of the day to get on and see a new chapter.

I can echo what a lot have already said but it's been said. One thing that I did think about after the previous chapter that had me thinking, her mom knew exactly what real food would do after all the baby food. now today the iced coffee before opening gifts on camera. Her mom knows exactly what she is doing and is being very meticulous about out. It isn't obvious scenarios where Sarah's mom has set her up to fail, but those are a couple small ones where Sarah was going to have no choice but be humiliated.

If she had rational thought, that comment of my mom is holding me hostage and treating me like a baby would be plausible. She feels though as if she deserves this punishment. I do think Lisa being through some things herself will see through the BS. It isn't a right away thing for intervention though. I only hope the tears Lisa had was in realization her friend is experiencing her own version of what Lisa did.

You mean Samantha, Desi is the only one in that group with no interest at all. I think I got Samantha's name right!!! I really need to get in bed.

We have a target number! Either way if it's 8 or a few more, I definitely feel like the story is getting really close to a point where it needs to come to an end. All good things (stories) must come to an end. Doesn't mean we will never see them in another story at some point if you ever decide to write about them again. Even if not, this has been a fun story to read.

It may fall through the cracks before it is fully developed. I can't remember if Brian was around the first time the car was painted or not. If so, then someone in his family is unknowingly doing things, but feeding off of Jennifer's flashbacks. CDfm has a good point to that it may be someone Hortensia knows, which is far more likely.

I hadn't thought of the time period being in the 90's and DNA testing really only becoming a thing in '86. That was some pretty serious vandalism though, with the broken windows, leaving genetic material on the steering wheel, the writing. If they dented the car as well depending on how bad the damage was the car could almost be written off. After a certain amount of property damage it becomes a felony. The interesting thing was no one heard anything. We know the kids were out back, and the first time the paint from out back was used. I have a theory, but keeping it to myself and just seeing where this goes.

She is thinking like someone that is abused and that it is what she deserved. She hasn't linked the fall at school with when things started to get bad because she was wetting the bed at that time. It isn't like she was completely dry and then all of a sudden started having issues. I really hope her friends see her on her walk home and go to Lisa's uncle. If there was a time she needed someone to change her way of thinking and rescue her from this, it's now.

If they left essence of themselves, why didn't the police collect that for DNA? Or was that something that might be implied and part of the investigation hmmm...? You don't leave many cliffhangers. Damn I'm ready for the next chapter now.

He did mention number of chapters so I highly doubt this will be how it ends. He did say a lot of questions would be coming in the upcoming chapters, so it's a bit early to think this will be the direction it ends at. Especially considering what we just witnessed is definitely child abuse.

I agree that Sarah needs to come clean, but not to her mom. Her best course of action would be to tell Lisa, which was said then Lisa would tell her uncle. At this point it is not something she can take care of herself. If she comes clean to her mom, her mom will come unglued, and Sarah will probably be on the receiving end of more abuse. The fact she has had to hide this from her mom so far with how her mom has treated it in the past, plus how her mom was with her when setting up the tree, sets the narrative that her sister is more the golden child and Sarah is getting the brunt end of it all.

And down the hill she goes! She is going to hit the bottom of it hard.

I do think all or multiple were Joey Teele. Anytime the site was facing any legal problems, the leader passed. I spoke with someone who said they were the original creator of the forum, stating they got pushed out after having to take a little time away. They created a new forum (do a search for: littles life forum) since I am not sure about posting links here, and DD is a great story site as is. I didn't join the Discord for discussion of creating a forum because I was not sure who could be trusted or who knew more of what was going on than what was being shared. Their donations were going to joeyteele.com so everything still led to that name. It seemed there was always something happening where they had to ask for money. The whole conservatorship just seemed really weird. There were some strange details and they were always ready to share details instead of just stating something was happening and they needed help to pay for the forum. When switching to Discourse they mentioned they would have to pay more because they needed to upgrade the amount of ram used. Discourse recommends 2 GB of ram. Using NGINX on Ubuntu doesn't take a bunch of ram. Knowing what I know now, I do believe that someone there was at the other forums. I also truly believe the "legal person" was not really a legal person. Seems like they were full of excuses, and they just didn't want you to see things weren't what they were making it out to be.

I had to go back and read the bruise was on her chest. I thought the bruise was on her backside from falling down. That makes more sense on why she thought Matilda had did that now.

Her friend seems like good therapy for her. He seems to have a lot of patience but I'm wondering why he frowned at her age. I'm wondering if it isn't the age gap, but he is comparing his success in career to hers, like he was comparing his daughter to Matilda. Was that force and falling of the skateboard anxiety or can Matilda change the direction and didn't know it?
