I have seen within the medical community that even heavy gas is sometimes classified as fecal incontinence. Maybe due to the risk of a shart? To me it seemed like a stretch by it isn't really an issue for me.

If I know I am going to be smoking, I usually pee ahead of time. For some reason my bladder freezes up and it takes me ages to get things going once I am stoned. I used to be friends with a guy who had to be reminded to take a leak before hand otherwise he would wet his pants. To the best of my knowledge, he is not a member of our community.

I think the choice is pretty binary. If you have a history of accidents, cannot predict when you may have a flare up, or fear having another accident, the results of which could be damaging to your mental health, then you choose the diaper option in whatever capacity you wish. None of this has a relation to your ABDL desires.

I am purely DL. It is not known to family or friends. That's the way I like it. But a few years back a friend who had just been through a harrowing medical situation commented that she was glad she didn't have to wear adult diapers. I thought it was an odd statement and said that if the choice was between wearing diapers or wetting/messing my pants or my bed, I would go with diapers 100 per cent of the time. I stand by that today. 

In your case, diapers are a useful tool to help you manage your life, not different from wearing glasses if you eye sight is poor or hearing aids if you are hearing impaired. The issue for most of us is we have been socialized to believe that all adults must be able to maintain their bodily continence at all times, something that is provably not true. The aisles devoted to incon products at grocery stores and pharmacies tell a different story. If those products weren't selling, they wouldn't be accorded the shelf space they receive.

I suppose, depending on your comfort level, you could be a bit cheeky and say, "Wow, the only people who notice are fellow diaper-wearers. Glad we have something in common." Then walk away.

I have done the YouTube route with no success, unsurprisingly. I am starting to be open to the possibility of going to a hypnotist that does erotic hypnosis and wondering what peoples' success stories have been.

Specifically, I would want someone to implant triggers that would allow me to experience incontinence but only when wearing a diaper. Achievable? Will anyone even take that on?

I am of an age where it is not unexpected that people, male and female, are more likely to have bladder issues. That would be my fall back position.

I tend to prefer plain, medical diapers with no prints, so I wouldn't have to deal with being seen in something with barnyard animals, etc...

Depending on who asked, I would probably just say "Prostate issues." and be done with it.

We have wheelie bins where I live. For clarity, does the garbage truck have an arm the extends to pick up the bin and empty it into the truck? If so, I would not have any concerns about the weight of the used products.

Yes, and it was a terrible idea for any number of reasons, not the least of which is that it dragged others into my fetish without their consent and it caused them unnecessary worry. I definitely do not encourage anyone to do so. It is one of the biggest regrets of my adult life.

Just before I turned 10, I was hospitalized with a bad case of bronchitis. There were no other boys around my age in the hospital so I was shunted to the toddler nursery. By policy, all of the kids wore diapers but because I was older and had not yet discovered my predilection for them, I was exempt. My mother had also told the admissions desk that I was not a bedwetter.

Jump ahead to the second night, I woke up freezing. I pressed the button for the nurse so that could get a warmer blanket. She walked into the darkened room, came to the side of my bed and asked if I "needed to go pee-pee." I think I fairly surprised her when I said no, I just needed a blanket. Clearly she was unaware that I was a few years older than most of her charges.

Looking back now, if I had wet the bed, I almost certainly would have been put back in diapers. I recognize that it isn't right to drag others into you fetishes without their consent but part of me wonders...

I have and for the exact reasons you describe. In almost 20 years together, I have never cheated, never even come close, but I did this and it is as close to cheating as I can imagine. I lied. Lied to her about previous bedwetting incidents, about injuries sustained in an accident that resulted in uncertain bladder control and other related aspects. I wasted time and money with doctors appointments for the thrill of it, all the while worrying her unnecessarily. 

And then I got bored. While the first few times we had sex while I was wearing a diaper were thrilling, after a while it became a pain. And boring. Eventually, I just became 'cured' because I wasn't interested in carrying on with it. The good news is that incontinence and enuresis can be idiopathic in presentation and in spontaneous resolution. At least I was able to fall back on that. All the while, I suspect my wife knew it was BS but didn't confront me about it. It might well have been the end of our marriage had she chosen to pursue it.

I don't have many regrets but this is a significant one.
