  1. The change was still embarrassing, but he was getting used to just Rachel doing it. It wasn’t as nerve wracking as the park’s bathroom. “....Okay, I like animal videos.” Fern paused after a moment’s thought. “I like horror movies too, can we watch one?” He doubted it’ll be considered age appropriate but he did miss them. That and a lot of the music he listened to.
  2. May was a bit overwhelmed with all the choices the girl was shoving her way. Jeez, who needed to know all that detail about their littles bathroom habits in the first place? She hoped Rachel didn’t get this over the top. “Honestly, I think we just need a simple one. She’s trained, she just can’t reach my toilet, and I don’t want her trying and falling.” Though the glow in the dark one was adorable, especially the pink one. Maybe Brie would like it. She’d been about to follow the girl into the furniture section, only to stop short at the sound of the announcement. “Oh! Brie!” Oh, jeez, she hoped she hadn’t gotten scared without her. And right after Rachel warned her to not let Brie wander too far without her, she’d been the one to stray. She hurriedly headed off to the fitting area, moving right to Brie. “Oh! Brie, I’m so sorry, are you okay? I was just away for a minute, I didn’t think you’d be finished yet.” She knelt down near the little, pulling her into a hug.
  3. May was happy Brie seemed to be enjoying herself with her choices, though she couldn’t help but slip a few cute looking shirts into the pile, as well as a set of soft looking socks that had cat faces on it. “Call me over if you need anything, okay? Oh! And come back here after you’re done, it’s getting a bit busy!” Hopefully, Brie wasn’t a wanderer, she didn’t want the little getting lost in the crowd. For her niece, after seeing Rachel’s response, she just picked out a sleeper. She wasn’t really sure if Maddie was a cutesy girl like Brie seemed to be, though knowing Rachel she’d love it, so she ended up a default sunshine yellow one. She glanced at the Amazon girl as she returned, giving her another smile. The potty might be useful, really, and she really didn’t want to worry about Brie slipping down from her toilet. “We might need one of those and a step stool, so she can reach the sink.” Booster seat, she figured they could grab on the way out.
  4. “.....Opposite, actually. There’s a mass extinction going on. Great Auk’s went extinct a couple centuries ago.” Fern looked interested, sitting down. He’d been thinking about trying to go into wildlife conservation, but none of his grades had been good enough for any of the schools for it. Not that he’d even have the money for it anyway. So, he had to give up on the whole thing after high school. He blushed self consciously as Rachel kissed his forehead, reluctantly taking the large sippy cup. Guess he should’ve known she’d pick up on what he’d been trying to do. He still didn’t plan on ending up like Aiden, who didn’t even know he’s gone and had been happy about it, but he did really have to go. And now that Rachel had mentioned it, he was going to have to be wary if she changed her mind on those videos. “...I guess.” He sighed, drinking some of the water before putting it back down. For now, he decided to concentrate on his toys before immediately worrying about using his diaper or not, just sitting back to examine each one. After what Rachel had said about the great aku’s, he’d been interested to see if there was any should be extinct animals in the kit, so he was happy to find what looked like a Stella seacow. Actually, he was pretty content in general with the kit, since it wasn’t just a random assortment of poorly researched animals thought to live in the oceans like it might’ve been in the other world. No river crocodiles here. He decided to ask Rachel later how whales and dolphins were doing, those were some of his favorite animals, along with sharks. But after some time of shifting uncomfortably, he had to admit defeat, sighing as he started wetting his diaper, which was more distracting than anything else.
  5. “Is it a good zoo?” Fern was interested, but frowned. This world seemed more advanced then his dimension, but they also liked putting adults into diapers, so he thought he had a right to be a bit skeptical. “I don’t like the ones where the animals don’t have enough space...” The drive back to Rachel’s house was okay, though a bit uncomfortable, because he already had to go to the bathroom after the bottle in the park. But as much as Rachel had seemed happy about him having an accident while he slept, he still planned on holding it. Luckily, being moved from the car to the house was enough to take his mind off it. ‘course, Rachel promptly had to make it weird by pushing him to say thank you, like he wouldn’t know how. “Um. Thank you.” Fern knew she wouldn’t be happy with just that, but it felt so uncomfortable calling her ‘Mommy’. Why was he supposed to just say it all naturally? And there was a tiny part of him wondering what the point of it was, all the other amazons who ‘adopted’ him had wanted him to call them Mommy or Daddy, and looked at how that turned out. “.....”
  6. “Oh, Brie’s my roomie for the time being.” May answered, playfully tussling the little’s hair. “We just want her to be safe in my car. And could you take it to the front? We have to look at some clothes now.” She gave the girl a thankful nod, taking hold of Brie’s hand again before heading further into the store. ”Okay, Brie. Ready to start looking?” She grinned down at the little once they were at the little girls clothes. Oh! Everything here was just so cute! While Brie started looking, she went to answer Rachel’s text. Whoops! Sorry, shopping right now. I’ll grab a booster for her, she’ll need one for the apartment anyway. And I’ll get the pizza, dw, keep that dirty money away. My treat. Also, what’s Maddie’s size for clothes, by the way? No reason. ; ) Putting her phone away for now, May looked up, before plucking an adorable looking sweatshirt from the rack. It was a light purple, but it had tiny little cat ears on the top of the hood. “Ooo! What about this one, Brie?”
  7. Sitting in the seat of the cart wasn’t so bad, it let him get a good view on things as Rachel went around the store. Though it was a bit boring. He’d always been a picky eater, so it wasn’t like he was super interested in trying to urge Rachel to get any certain snacks or sweets, like some of the other littles in the aisles were. But finally, they were at the clips, and it was easy for Fern to make his selection. “...The green one, I like dinosaurs.” He was quiet for a moment or two, before admitting, “Greens my favorite color. Like forests.” He felt shy after that, blue and red was more of the boy colors after all so he was happy Rachel went on to move to the next aisles. Fern took a bit longer to pick out a toy, tipping his head to squint at some of the labels. He knew enough to cross out any of the toys that were apparently out of his ‘age range’, even if they looked a bit more interesting. There were some of those ‘brain’ toys, puzzles and stuff, but he’d never been really good at any of that, so he skipped over that as well. After awhile, he eventually settled on what he’d thought about earlier, one of those animal sets things. He’d spent most of the time on those actually, trying to decide between one with jungle animals or aquatic animals. He had a tendency to be indecisive. “Um. That one, I think.” Fern decided finally, pointing at the aquatic one. “...Please.” He added after a few moments thought.
  8. May gently stroked Brie’s hair, giving her a sympathetic look. How odd that other world must be. One for pushing a little to ever give up something as innocent as a stuffed animal, especially over just being perceived as a boy. “Stuffie queen, huh? Well, I bet we can find a new one to be friends with your kitty here. When the store employee walked over May gave her a smile, glancing down at Brie. Huh, she didn’t seem so shy before, but she supposed maybe being Renee’s sister may have given her a bit of a boost in familiarity. “Oh! Yes. Well, for one, we need a carseat for Brie here. And I’d like to get a gift for my sister and her new little, she’s about eleven months, I think? Do you have any recommendations?” Clothes she knew they could handle on their own, especially if Brie was into shopping as much as May was.
  9. Fern shrugged, biting his finger as he thought, temporarily forgetting about the pacifier hanging from its clip. He hadn’t really put much thought into toys yet, other then that dolls were out. He tried to think about what kind of things he played with when he was really young, but he’d been pretty content then running around and climbing trees. And dinosaurs, he’d had a bit of a dinosaur craze in elementary school. Wasn’t like he remembered being the age he was apparently considered to be here. “...I don’t know. Do I have to decide now?” Maybe one of those plastic animals sets, the ones with the farm or zoo animals, though he’d might look for one with more wild animals. He was just interested in seeing if they looked any different then back home.
  10. Fern, on the other hand, was pretty upset about having an accident during his sleep, so he didn’t feel like responding to how happy Rachel seemed about it. He hadn’t gone in his sleep since he was very young, and that had just been a period of bedwetting when he was about five, and no one had exactly been praising him about that. Being changed was back to feeling embarrassing, especially because it was right in the bathroom, where complete strangers could see him. It made him feel gross. But after that felt like a mortifying eternity, it was over, and Rachel was slipping a bottle into his mouth. Which was still embarrassing, but not the disgusting ‘everyone was looking at him’ kind of embarrassing as a couple minutes ago. And he did feel pretty thirsty, though he’d have preferred to feed himself. “I don’t want to play anymore.” Fern answered after finishing the bottle, and Rachel had done the usual burping. “Can we just go?” His good mood from before had seemed to faded, the usual sullen expression creeping back on.
  11. “Sounds like a plan to me.” May gave the little a grin. “And not yet, I know she’s about eleven months or so though, so I’m sure I can get an idea looking at that age range.” She started on their way, making sure Brie could keep up and not get lost in the crowd. It didn’t take long to find the more little aimed store, though this one was definitely more for parents of adopted littles. She did know there were some free little owned shops at there, but May supposed they weren’t at this mall. It was a cute place, though a bit busy, unsurprising. Keeping hold of Brie’s hand, May looked around to find a store directory. “Okay! Shouldn’t be that hard. We could find clothes for you here too, and ask someone about a good carseat for your size. So we can get one that doesn’t make you pop!” She playfully poked the little’s stomach. “I don’t know what gear Rachel has already, so you want to help me pick out a cute stuffed animal?”
  12. “Oh, I was thinking the same.” Among other things, but she didn’t quite know how to bring up that topic without making Brie feel uncomfortable. But it wasn’t like a lot of bathrooms were built for little sizes, the smaller girl was going to run into the same problem again and again. Once they were on the shuttle, May took the time to respond to Rachel’s message. She’s not really my little, Rach, we just met like three hours ago. Technically, she’s just rooming with me for the next two months. Luckily, the trip wasn’t far, and they were at the mall soon enough, as May lead the way out of the shuttle into the mall entrance. “Okay! Now what do you want to do first? Clothes? And I bet there’s a little shop somewhere here we could find you some stools and a carseat. I want to get Maddie and Rachel something too.” She playfully poked Brie’s side. “Maybe you can get a cute toy to go along with your little kitty too.”
  13. “Bye, Aiden.” Fern gave him a shy wave, feeling relieved they were moving away from the other amazons. Even if it meant he had to take a nap. It felt weird in the stroller, and he’d likely have done his usual move of just closing his eyes and feigning sleep, but once Rachel put the music on, it made him feel drowsy. He didn’t really like the idea of sleeping where anyone could just walk right by him, though he guessed Rachel was right there. And at least Rachel didn’t do weird things like Aiden’s and Ava’s parents. He didn’t remember falling asleep, only that he woke up after a bit feeling groggy, and having that gross post nap taste in his mouth. But more importantly, shifting to sit up, he realized he’d wet his diaper at some point while he was asleep, which was very much not something that made him feel good.
  14. “You’re welcome, sweetie. And I’m always up for the mall, don’t you worry.” May shot her a grin, before starting on cleaning the bathroom. It was pretty gross, but at least most of it was in the tub. Not really how she planned the first day with her guest going but she supposed it could be worse. Brie was sweet and cute, and she was just a little after all. Tiny little bladders and all. Speaking of, she did have to think about what to do about the whole bathroom situation, because her toilet wasn’t getting smaller and Brie wasn’t getting any bigger, but she was sure they’d have something at the mall for it. Once done, she went to clean up herself, before pulling out her phone to respond to Rachel as she waited. I just might! Maybe around dinner time if that sounds good for you? Though I did promise Brie pizza. When’s the kiddo’s bedtime so I don’t come too late? She sent that one off, before answering the next. And I did pick her up, she’s absolutely adorable. We’re going to head to the mall to pick up some things for her. We all kinda figured she’d be a mid, but she came out little sized, whoops. She looked up when Brie entered, giving her a grin. “Alright! Let’s move out then, so we can catch a shuttle before they get too crowded from people coming home. After we’re done at the mall, I might head over to Rachel’s if that’s okay with you?” She offered Brie her hand again, more because honestly it was just cute at this point, before heading on out of the apartment. “The shuttle ride shouldn’t be that long, thankfully.”
  15. “I-“ Fern started, before ducking his head, immediately backing out. Aiden seemed nice, and Fern didn’t want to ruin it. He didn’t think Aiden was one of the people who’d be mean about it, but he might laugh, and that was always awful too. “It was nice to meet you too, Aiden.” He felt nervous about the two amazons coming over, especially after he remembered that they’d been the ones to get that weird shocking thing in Aiden and Ava’s legs, but after keeping quiet, it seemed neither of them were going to talk to him. Playing again was fun, but he couldn’t get over his wariness enough to start talking as much, and at the end, he was a bit relieved when Rachel came to pick him up. ”Um.” Fern frowned, looking down as he thought. Ava was kind of a brat, but he’d like to hang out with Aiden later. But he most definitely did not want to be around their parents while Rachel talked to them. “I guess.....”
  16. “The castle was under poor management, so OSHA told them they had to be shut down.” Fern had a small smile on his face, moving the dump truck to dump the sand some distance from the castle. He wasn’t going to be making sound effects any time soon, but it was kind of fun to just mess around, and ‘accidentally’ knock over one of the castle walls with the truck. He continued moving the sand after Aiden destroyed the parts of the castle till it was all down. “What should we build now then? Fern asked, carefully moving Ava’s dolls to the side so they wouldn’t be in the way. “What about just a tall building? Destroying it is kinda more fun then building.” He added, yawning a bit.
  17. May gave Brie another affectionate head stroke, before turning the tap on, making sure it wasn’t too hot or cold. “Okay, be careful, sweetie. Let’s not end up in the ER your first day here, okay?” She said teasingly, trying to lighten the mood. Once back in Brie’s room, she got her change of clothes, as well as a towel, one of the nice soft fluffy ones. “I’ll be right there!” She headed on over to the bathroom, handing the towel over to Brie, so she could wrap herself up, before she lifted the smaller girl out of the tub, onto the ground. “And there we go! Do you feel better now?” She leaned over to drain the water. “Go on and get dressed, don’t worry about cleaning, okay? I can do it. Do you still feel up for going out?”
  18. As relieved as he was that Ava ran off, he did feel a bit bad that she was crying now. Even if she was a brat. He squirmed embarrassedly as Rachel checked his diaper, especially because she had to do it right in front of Aiden. “It’s sweat, I didn’t go.” Though he did have to go a tiny bit, he was still going to hold it. He wasn’t sure how to respond to Aiden’s delight over his own accident, mostly because he couldn’t see ever being happy about losing your potty training. “Oh. That’s nice?” He said, sounding unsure. “Trucks are better than dolls anyway.” Though he still felt kinda embarrassed about playing with even the trucks, at least it wasn’t a girly one, and seemed a bit less babyish then most of the toys pushed his way. He took one of the dump trucks, glancing at Aiden to see how he wanted to play.
  19. “Oh, oh, she did. You don’t have to worry!” May tried to reassure Brie, reaching over to stroke her hair after seeing how upset the little was. “You don’t have to even think about leaving!” She stood up, glancing down at the floor. It’ll be a bit gross to clean it and the tub, but she didn’t want to make Brie feel even more embarrassed about her accident. “Oh, sure. Uh. Do you want me to help you clean up? I should at least turn the tap on, it might be a bit tricky. And I don’t want you to slip trying to get out.” She offered.
  20. Fern was quiet as Aiden spoke, keeping his gaze down. “....I’m sorry. Least you have each other.” He doubted the pair would ever get home, seemed like no one ever got to leave here, but he kept it to himself. “I got two older brothers...half brothers, anyway. They’re a lot older then me thou-“ Then Ava was yelling, and he shrank back uncomfortably. People yelling always made him feel anxious, even if it was some girl who acted like a little kid. He’d probably feel better if he just stayed quiet and completely out of this, but Aiden looked over to him, and now he felt even more uneasy. He did like talking to Aiden, and admittedly, it would probably be nicer if Ava wandered off so they didn’t have to focus on the dumb castle any further. “If you’re a big girl, couldn’t you go by yourself?” He decided to point out quietly after a moment, looking up.
  21. May had been fiddling with her phone as she waited for Brie to wake up, responding to Rachel’s message now that she was home. Aw, cute! And when do I get to meet my new niece? : 3c Of course, she was shaken out of her concentration as Brie began calling for her, darting on over to the bathroom. “Oh, Brie! Are you okay?” She could easily guess what had happened just by looking at the little, but she still made her way over to the tub to make sure she wasn’t hurt. “Oh, I’m so sorry, Brie, I didn’t even think about how high the toilet was. Are you hurt at all? Why didn’t you ask for me to help you?” As she examined Brie, she didn’t seem to be injured, so she began to calm down from her frantic worry. “Aw, jeez, you really let loose, huh? Least it’s in the tub...” Well. She supposed she should’ve guessed accidents were going to happen with a little around. “Guess we should get you washed up.”
  22. Fern wrinkled his nose back at her, but he wasn’t going to push it. She seemed like kind of a brat, and he didn’t really want to deal with any fits. Even though supposedly, he was supposed to be the younger one here. He started digging the moat, glad it wasn’t another tower at least. “...Or bears. There was a castle that put bears in their moat.” Which was cool. He remembered how disappointed he’d been when he learned all those cartoons that had alligators in moats were making it up. He was a bit taken back by the onslaught of questions, looking shy again. “Um. It’s new, I guess. I’ve been in this dimension a couple months, maybe. But only with Rachel for a few weeks.” He was keep his gaze down at the sand, trying to look busy with the moat so he wouldn’t have to look up. “I was in a couple other homes before that, but they gave me up.” He didn’t really like talking about himself, this was already more talking then he’d done in a good while. “Um. Where are you from? Uh, how old are you?” He shifted, trying to get the attention of himself, placing the shovel back down, so he could nervously stick a finger in his mouth.
  23. May hummed. “Oh, I think little menus are more tailored to little tastes. Little food tends to be waaaay sweeter or saltier. I guess your guys’s taste buds don’t change as much when you get older, unlike amazons? We could get some little snacks at the mall too, if you want to try it.” She selected the button for her floor, stepping on out once they arrived. “Okay! It’s room 412 on the fourth floor. So if you get lost or turned around, you can remember where it is.” May fished her key out of her pocket, stepping aside once the door was unlocked so Brie could get in. “And sure, cutie! I set the spare bedroom up for a guest, but oh....it might be tricky for you to get around.” She said apologetically. “It’s more mid sized. Most of the furniture in it is from a friend who’s mid roommate moved out. But there’s a dresser in there, you could use the lower drawers to unpack.” The apartment looked fairly nice, though the decorating made it clear it belonged to a woman in her early twenties in her own place for the first time. “Okay! Living room is a bit small, and so’s the kitchen...but well, guess it’s not that small for you, huh? The bathroom is down the hall between my bedroom and the guest room. Not really a great view from any of the windows though.”
  24. Fern’s eyes were a bit wide at the mention of a leg shocker, shifting a bit uncomfortably. This world didn’t make sense. Supposedly, littles were supposed to be ‘babies’, but he doubted any of this craziness was done to amazon kids. But he tried to put it out of mind for now, as he nervously watched Rachel leave, before turning back to the others with a sigh. ”Does it have to be a princess castle?” What even made a princess castle different then a regular castle other then some dolls? But reluctantly, he started work on a tower, though admittedly it was a bit boring. He glanced up as Aiden began talking, making a face. “I don’t. I only have to get dressed like this because Rachel likes it.” Fern said quietly, trying to calm his nerves. It was okay, they were just talking. Aiden seemed nice so far. After finishing a tower or two, he sat back, looking around for a shovel. “....Do you want to help me make a moat?”
  25. “Well, okay, but if you get tired, don’t be afraid to ask. I don’t mind!” May did at least reach over to help Brie down from the seat onto the ground, offering her hand again. “It’s about a ten minute walk or so? It shouldn’t be that busy on the streets either, since the kids from school aren’t out for awhile. And of course, silly! Your bag looks huge compared to you.” May giggled, putting the bag on her shoulder again as she lead Brie off the shuttle. She paused to make sure the little wouldn’t have any trouble on the stairs, before starting on their way. “Oh! Over there’s a nice little pizza joint, we could go there for dinner if you feel up for it! Think there’s a sushi place I go sometimes when my sisters are visiting, but I never really liked raw fish. Too slimy! But there’s a diner a bit of a walk from here if you want something more normal, I think they have a little menu.” May chattered on as they walked, lightly swinging their hands. She’d always been a bit of a chatterbox, silence was just so boring, you know? And she wanted to show off all the sights to Brie. “The mall is a bit further....I usually drive there, but we could take another shuttle. Then I can pick up a carseat for you, and we can go anywhere!” After about fifteen minutes or so, they arrived at an apartment complex, a nice modern looking one. Rent was a bit pricy, but the location was worth it. She stepped into the lobby, making her way over to the elevator. Her apartment was only on the fourth floor, but she guessed Brie was likely feeling tired enough to not want to brave four flights of amazon sized stairs. Even the buttons on the elevator were high above any littles head, likely to keep any of them straying from their parents and playing with them.
