I apologize if this has been asked before. I have been dealing with legitimate bladder control issue for about three months now. My first doctor’s nurse just simply prescribed diapers until I could get to see the regular doctor who has now sent me to the urologist. It’s the va system which will probably surprise no one familiar with it. Problem is that it’s a real problem. I wear 24/7 at this point and have lost all control at night. Daytime is iffy. I normally wear pull up style but an hour is a long time when you don’t know where the next bathroom will be and they don’t hold like a taped diaper does. To my main point: I can talk to you all day long about history and such but I forget basic things all the time. Keys, wallet, and etc. Trouble is that the urologist is an hour away and there is a high chance I might forget to bring a spare. I can even make a list of things to do and forget where I put the list. I know this silly but it’s me in a nutshell. I know this might sound stupid but if I do forget, will they have a spare there. I think I’ve seen a urologist once in my life and that was a long time ago and not for this. Other question: Should I expect full on examination? No one has ever seen me in a diaper and I prefer it that way but medically speaking, I get it. My regular doctor was aware but didn’t see it. She prescribed them and we talked about the issue general, hence the urology visit. I’m just really stressed and nervous. The stigma of it all is getting to me.
