"Do you want me to check you?" He asked her softly so that no one else would hear him and just hoped that she wouldn't get mad at him or feel like he's treating her like everyone else is making her out to be when that isn't the case at all. Regardless though, Sam obliges and takes her to the office bathroom like she asked him to do and then helps her inside of there and wonders what she is okay with him doing next and just supports her until he figures it out or she tells him.

Terrance took the bowl and started to eat. He finished his food after a good while and put his bowl down and took a drink from his water bottle and heard her concern "I've never gone hunting and killed a wild animal before, but I play airsoft all the time, I know it's different than actually hunting and killing a living thing, but I think BBs should at least give wild animals or a scary person in the woods, second thoughts about bothering us while we're out here alone." He told her as he looked at her and listened to her concern and tried to calm her down so that she wasn't as worried.

Sam just ate his food and just acted like the girl hadn't even come up to him and told him something that was sorta mean, sorta not mean at the same time, regardless though, he was gonna do what he had promised he would do for Monica and no one else not even the other kids that were in the daycare center were gonna be able to change his mind about what he was supposed to do for Monica and what he had promised that he would do for Monica.

Tom woke up as he heard the whimpering from Wendy and felt her body and it was shaking even though she was under really warm blankets and when he went to see if her eyes were open or closed, he felt tears going down her cheeks. He tried to softly wake her up, without making her cry even more and then getting mad at him for waking her up when she was trying to sleep. He hoped that she was okay and wanted to try and comfort her as best as he could, while he just was there as what she needed him to be, a supportive big brother.

"I can take you to a proper place to pee so that we don't make the camp that we're gonna be sleeping in if you ask me to." He replied as he took the stew off the fire and let it cool off for a second, but still made sure that it was warm and then handed it to her since it was cool enough for her to handle, but still hot enough for them to eat and not get burned by it when they ate it. He hadn't been an eagle scout or even a cub scout, he was just lucky that his dad had the foresight to want him to learn to survive in the woods if he ever got lost by himself or was lost with someone else. He also wanted to make sure that they stayed alive so that the rest of their group could find them and they would be able to get back safe.

"It's not that we can't afford to have lunch here, I'm just used to not eating until later on in the day and when I do, I usually just eat on the way to get my sister from her daycare center. But I think you might be right, that it might be a good idea if I eat lunch here and then eat dinner with my sister when I get her from the daycare center. Thank you Monica, I appreciate your help/advice." He told her as he looked at her with genuine thanks in his eyes and in his voice when he talked to her.

Paul was surprised that his daughter had wanted to sleep in his lap. It had been a long time since she had done that and it was still nice to see and let her do because it was good for her, especially with all that she had to deal with ever since his wife and her mother died. He still missed Jacqueline, she had died in the prime of her life and he wished that she was still here, but he knew he couldn't bring her back, so instead he had to make sure that he was the best father to his children that he could be and especially now that he was fostering two additional young girls, so this was gonna be like when Erica was younger, that was for sure.

"Let's have the beef stew." He told her as he looked for something that could open the can and hold it over the fire so that they didn't overcook it. He was actually glad that his dad had put him through a survival skills summer camp, he was able to use the skills he had somewhat to help keep them alive until the group found them. Plus he had some stuff for self-defense if he needed to go that far and something was gonna attack them. He had a huge feeling that he wasn't gonna be sleeping soundly tonight and that he was gonna be up most of the night, just making sure that nothing got close to hurt them so that they could be found. He was paranoid at this point, but mostly worried that something was gonna happen to Ruth that he wasn't gonna be able to protect her from and then she would get hurt, which would make him feel like a bad person that couldn't protect a girl from anything and or keep anyone safe.

"Okay sir, I'll have lunch, I just wanted to make sure that I could go and pick up my sister and eat with her when we're going to eat." He explained as he looked at Monica "I do like Lunch, just would rather wait for when I can eat with my sister, a snack can hold me over usually into then." He told her as soon as the staff member went to go and get the lunch that he apparently had. He just didn't wanna waste his parents money by spending it on eating lunch at the daycare center, it was kinda a waste of money on his end.

Paul just lightly combed through her hair with his fingers and let her lean back against him and let her just relax and be however young she felt like being, since it had been so long since he had done something like this with her "I just realized that we haven't done something like this since you were 10 or 11, boy how time flies and how things change. If I ever get more time off, I'll try and spend a few days with the family at home and help you so that your not overwhelmed, okay?" He told her as he continued to hold her in his lap lightly so that if she felt like it, she could get up and go to do something else that she needed to do.

Terrance nodded and stopped where they were and started to look around for some logs that they could use to make the campfire along with some rocks and some stuff to help start the fire, when he found them, he started to set up the campfire and as soon as he did that, he tried to get the fire started, and after a few tires of trying, he managed to get a good size fire started that would warm them both up, Terrance hoped that they didn't get rained on, since they didn't have a tent to sleep in and trees that were nearby them, wouldn't do much to cover them from the rain and keep them dry if it did rain. As soon as Terrance had finished doing that, he opened his gear bag and reached inside, pushing the magazine release on his airsoft guns and checking them for damage and how much bbs that they had inside of them, he might need to use them tonight because of a possible wild animal that would come and try to take the snacks that they were eating. Also, plus, he was gonna protect them from any suspicious people that tried to come and snatch them up and take them far away from their class and parents. At this point though, he was just most likely being paranoid and more cautious then he should have been at the moment.

"Sure, I was planning on having Tom, start to take care of the two new girls anyways, I already noticed that he seems to take care of Erica pretty well, so I think he'll be fine with taking care of the other two as well. Besides, he does need to start learning some responsibility anyways. I was gonna have him help you out, but this is just as good." He told Darlyn and asked her "is it okay if I brush your hair with my fingers for a bit?" He then waited for her answer before he would start to do what he asked if he was okay to do to her hair.

"No thank you, I'll be fine Sir, I have to pick up my little sister from Daycare a little bit later on when the day has ended, so I'll just have a snack to hold me over until then." He told him politely and went back to getting his chips opened and then his soda opened and started to eat them, he didn't like the fact that his parents wouldn't even have told him about such things in the first place. His parents never seemed to tell him and always seemed to forget about it, but they seemed to tell his little sister everything as soon as they know about it, so he wonders sometimes if his sister was the favorite over him, even though he does more to help out around the house and especially help with his little sister when she needs to be taken care of.

(She'll be in a different daycare then): "I'll take care of you and not tell anyone if you make a mistake, but you gotta promise to try your very hardest to let me know when you gotta go, okay? I wanna try to prevent as many of your accidents as I can while I'm here taking care of you, okay?" He told her as he looked at her and waited to see if she would make the promise. He got to the lunch area and pushed her along, stopping when she asked for something that she wanted and put it on her plate and then when she was ready, he pushed her over to a nearby table and then sat down next to her, having only grabbed a soda for himself and pulling out a bag of hot cheetos that he kept in his backpack and opened the bag, before starting to eat and letting her eat the food that she had wanted to eat.

"I decided to foster them because I want them to have a different change of home life and see that not all mommies and daddies are the same and that some will treat them better than what they've probably been used to. I think you three are better than good enough, your perfect, but as you probably have already figured out by now, I'm a kind and caring soul and when Angela told me about how bad these two have been hit and abused in their previous homes when they didn't deserve it, I felt like I had to show them that there could be a home that wasn't mean to them and that they could be normal little girls like they're supposed to be." He told her deciding to indulge in Darlyn's subtle request to be babied by her dad.

"Well, let's try it and see if we can get back to the trail." He told her as he walked with her, not realizing that they were going the wrong way and would get even more lost then they already were at the moment "if we can't find our way back to the trail, we're gonna need to find a place to settle in for the night." He told her as he walked, meanwhile the class still had no idea that there were two missing kids from the group, although it wasn't like the bullies who had purposefully not told the adults what had happened were gonna say anything anyways, besides Terrance could take care of himself and Ruth, he was pretty tough after all and could survive in the woods by himself and keep Ruth safe, couldn't he? Yeah. They probably could and the bullies seemed to be given false hope in the deep recesses of their minds.

"I'll do my best to get into the first bathroom that we were just in as long as you remember to tell me next time, okay?" He asked her as he started to push her towards the lunch area and would let her get lunch, sure he was hungry, but he was confident that he could wait until he was able to leave the daycare place, plus he had some cash on him, so he could go and eat at one of the fast food places nearby the center. His house wasn't too far from the center, easily within walking distance, so he knew it would be fine if he went up to go and get some food, his parents weren't really at home that much anyways and his little sister Jessica was still in school right now, so he knew it would be fine.

"Alright then, you don't have to if you don't want to, it'll be fine." He said as he then finished his sandwich and threw away his plate and then drank his soda, he didn't much feel like falling asleep at the moment, so he wanted to relax for a bit after work and just went to watch TV instead, inviting Darlyn to come and join him if she wanted to. Tom was sleeping lightly, but normally he was a heavy sleeper and wouldn't have been able to been woken up most of the time, except for if his siblings needed him, then he was up and offering his help for whatever they needed, even if he was still tried when he was doing so, regardless though, if Wendy happened to fall off the bed and then start crying, he would be right there to comfort her and let her know that it was okay. If she wet the bed and started crying then he would simply just comfort her and try to help her get cleaned up so that she didn't think she was gonna get in trouble for doing that. He would have done the same thing for Erica or Kim if they needed it. He wondered at this point, why he wasn't just given the responsibility of taking care of Erica, since he pretty much did so already even if his dad didn't know it yet.

"Looks like the kids are having snacks or lunch, I think." He said as he asked Monica "you hungry at all?" He asked her as he looked at her and pushed her towards the classroom, since he didn't know if she was hungry or something or if she just wanted to continue to draw since she didn't seem to wanna say anything about it at the moment, he wondered why she was being so silent right now, did he do something to make her upset? He didn't mean to if he had.

"Well, if we can find the trail, I'm sure we'll be able to find the class. But I don't know where the trail is and I can only guess where it might be, for now, let's just focus on finding a place where we can sleep that won't be too cold for the night, okay? I brought along my gear bag that I use to play airsoft with, so it has an extra warm blanket in there that we can wrap around each other for warmth." He told her as he started to look for a good place where they wouldn't be too exposed to the elements "it's okay if you do, I won't be mad at you for it." he told her as he looked at her and smiled assuredly to let her know that things would be okay "no your not, you are not a big baby, no matter how much the others doesn't mean it's true." He told her.

"Yeah, the younger one wears diapers 24/7 from what I was told and the older one wears them to bed as far as I know. I could try and have you potty train them so that they don't have so many accidents. But idk if you wanna go through that again, especially after what happened with Erica when you were potty training her and had just barely finished potty-training Tom." He said as he heard what she said "I know I know, our mayor is lousy, tell me what I don't know. We've already lost like 50 officers from the entire department, 30 of them from my watch and the other 20 from night watch alone, who knows what'll happen if we lose the detectives next because that's what it's starting to sound like that's what's gonna happen, the county is already losing officers due to the slashing and definitely more overtime is given but almost barely any days off are given anymore. As a watch commander, it's hard to just take this lying down and not go and tell Angela off for not trying to stand up to the chief and the mayor." He told her as he sat down on the couch, clearly stressed out about all this, he hadn't let his daughter see him like this in a very long time, he was the type of person to keep his emotions bottled up and keep them hidden from everyone.

Sam turned around when he heard the water sound stop and got her some toilet paper and handed it to her, without looking at her exposed crotch and then went back to looking the other way and waited for her to ask for help when she was ready to get off the toilet and get her pants and panties back up again.

"Ruth, calm down, it's okay, we're not in bad shape and we'll be able to eventually find help and get home again, I promise I won't let you be hurt or us not be found. I'll be here with you always. I promise we're gonna be fine okay. Can you take a big deep breath for me and then let it out slowly?" He asked her as he tried to comfort her and let her know that everything was okay.

"I'll go and talk to him on Friday, for now just hold on, but don't use it unless it's absolutely necessary and tell the teacher why your gonna use it before you do and don't look at anything besides what's important at that time, got it?" He asked her as he looked at her and smiled at her "so, besides that little incident, how was the rest of your school day?" He asked her as he let her go from the hug after a bit and brought his food to the trash, even though he had barely eaten a quarter of his sandwich at the moment and sat down again with a can of soda to drink.

"Huh? Where did they go? I think they left us behind!" Terrance said as he looked around to see where the rest of the group was, he wondered if they should go to the campsite, but where was the campsite? Where were they even in the woods? It didn't look like a familiar part of the woods to begin with. "I think we might be lost and separated from the group." He told her after looking around for a while to try and find where the trail was but having no luck.
