One of the first things that surprised me about diapers is how big and heavy they can get.
I’ve haven’t had to put more then one in the weenie bin at a time but it’s easy to see how quickly they can add up in weight and size sometimes.

Here is my routine: 1) remove messy diaper and wipe as much as possible with any clean portion of the diaper, 2) baby wipes until clean, 3) wash rag, water, and soap after baby wipes, 4) rinse wash rag and wipe off any residual soap, 5) pat dry, 6) roll up soiled diaper and place in a plastic bag, 7) baby lotion, ??? baby powder inside fresh diaper and put on the nice clean diaper, 9) dispose of the dirty diaper in the outside garbage, 10) air freshener...
I can finish this diaper change in less than 5 minutes. Oh sure, there are the occasional real diaper blow-outs that are more labor intensive, but still the same routine.
5 minutes is pretty impressive.
I’ll have to give the wash cloth idea a try. I’ve never been able to properly clean up with just baby wipes and I think that will be the key to a good clean up.

I’m typically a morning messer. My favourite thing to do is go to bed in a slightly wet diaper, wake up, do my morning pee and start getting ready for the morning bowel movement.
I’ve tried dry messing but it almost feels weird to me.

What kind of incontinence is this?

I’ve experienced the same thing on occasion too.
I find I get it occasionally when I drink to much water and more often when I’m padded.
I always thought it was a temporary form of over active bladder but after a bit of research I don’t think it’s exactly that.
I’m interested to find out more about it. I’ll see if I can find anymore information about it and report back here.
