Oh, that reminds me, I actually ended up writing on my idea. Here's the link:

It's decidedly SFW at this point, and will probably stay that way. I need to update that tags to reflect that.

For the post to fully qualify it needs the "SFW" tag (since it's an sfw story) in it, and it needs to mention that it is made for this contest, with a link to this page. Once those issues are fixed I will happily add it to the SFW entries list.

Really?!?? What channel is it on buddy?!??? is it ALSO on Netflix?!?????♥️?♥️????????????? is it called Star Trek: strange new worlds???? Or something else.

All of the answers to your question can be found in comments on this very thread.

It seems to be called Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

It is streaming on Paramount+ in the U.S.

It is on the Syfi channel or streaming on Crave in Canada.

    It is not on Netflix.

EDIT: It took me so long to finish writing my comment below that people have already replied to you answering your questions.

    _______________________________________________________________

    My comment about streaming services.

I recently cancelled all my streaming service subscriptions. After a certain point you're paying more a year on the "convenience" streaming services than you would be paying with a cable plan. It's not even convenient anymore. Now there's so many different streaming services, each with their own content selection.

    Disney+ is $8/mo

    Netflix (HD plan) is $16/mo

    Hulu (Ad Free) is $11/mo

    HBOMax (Ad Free) is $15/mo

    Paramount+ (Ad Free) is $10/mo

    That's $140/mo or $1,680/year

And what do these services offer you? "Convenience?" No, they don't. Some streaming services will have different seasons of the same show. For example, Hulu has all episode of My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic, except for the last season, which is exclusively on Netflix. So, even if you just want to watch that one show, you have to pay $27/mo and use 2 separate streaming services, just for one show. This is not an isolated incident either, this happens for a LOT of shows. Where you will find a few seasons on one streaming service, but need a completely different streaming service to watch the rest.

Another thing is you're paying for the right to watch content that they license, you don't own the content, and you have no control as to how long it is on the services for. I remember back when Netflix was actually worth something, I was watching a survival show. I had made it half way through, it was like midnight, so I decided to watch the rest the next day. When I woke up, the show was gone, there was no warning, it was just gone.

The situation will only get worse, one could argue that "well you don't need that many streaming services.", but that's not true either. Most people seem to have at least that many streaming services, I didn't even include Peacock, Crunchyroll, Amazon Prime Video or other streaming services in that list, which would add significantly more to that monthly tally.

The more of these services pop up (and there are more popping up constantly) the more content will be split amongst two or more streaming services. Services that don't actually provide you that much convenience over TV, unless you know EXACTLY what you want to watch, and you know EXACTLY on what service that show is on, and if you want to watch a specific episode, you better know the streaming service that episode is on because the show may be split amongst multiple streaming services.

  3. You are the only person I know who has referred to Windows 11 as an upgrade. Even people I know who moved to Windows 11 (or use Windows 10) consider it a downgrade. I'm constantly reading things about how Microsoft is making the Windows experience less and less like your computer and more like their computer. I understand why someone would want to use Windows, but for me personally it's far too restrictive.

Hell, until very recently if you wanted to have a dark theme on your computer without using the terrible high contrast themes you had to risk bricking your OS, just to install a dark theme. Which for someone like me who has extremely sensitive vision is a must. Why did you have to do that? Because Microsoft locks down themes so you can only install "official Microsoft themes"

Even now, if you enable the dark theme not all applications will respect it, so it's not uncommon to open an application and have a flash of blinding light pop up on your screen. So installing an unofficial theme is probably still the best solution for those who don't want their eyes to bleed, since at least that forces applications to comply with your theme choices.

Then there's the whole, Windows Update stopping whatever you're doing and forcing you to restart and install updates (provided you don't have a specific version of windows which has the option to disable this), the fact that they install apps like Candy Crush on your system without your consent and placing ads and telemetry everywhere. And let's not forget the "Free" update to Windows 10 that forced users on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 to update if they clicked the X button on the update popup.

Again, I get why someone would want to use windows, mostly it's just habit, people are used to Windows and they are used to it's little quirks. But for me, It's just not the right choice.

  4. I find my hobbies rotate, sometimes I just have nothing I'm particularly interested in doing. This hits home for those times. Don't feel bad, Mikey, sometimes it's okay to lose a day. Life goes by so fast, it's nice to just take it slow some days.

God wont force a healing you dont want, im reminded of the story of Jesus healing a man that was lowered through the roof, from weak and hell to fully functional and legs as strong as a man that walked all his life, you could have more AND be happy.

It's a bit more complicated than that. 100% of our income is because I am disabled. I am on disability and my wife works by taking care of me through a state program. And my disability doesn't just pay the bills either, but it allows my wife and I to spend all day every day together, and it's honestly wonderful. I view my disability more as a blessing than anything else. You don't understand, what I lose from my disability is far less than what I have gained. Honestly, I view eating as more of an inconvenience than anything. You get hungry, you have to deal with getting fat, managing nutrition etc. I can have as much of what I can eat as I want with no side effects, as my weight and nutrition is all dealt with for me. I have no hunger and I don't digest, so say drinking a bunch of soda has significantly fewer downsides than it would for anyone else.

When I was younger, I wouldn't have wished this disability on my worst enemies, but I blame a lot of that on my environment at the time. Now I can't imagine how horrible life would be without it.

Now am I saying life is without its hardships, but the good significantly outweighs the bad to the point that the bad is negligible to me.

ill have to remember your digestive issues when i am praying, did you handle formula ok when you was a baby?

I did not, this is a genetic disorder that me and 2 of my siblings (now deceased) share. Both died from medical neglect. One died of liver failure, lead managed to get into one of the I.V medications we were getting, which was causing us both to die of liver failure. I only survived because I was older and had a slightly better immune system when they found out, but I was on my way out as well. The other died of starvation before I was even born, she was sent home from the hospital when she clearly was not well, she died before she even reached 2 months old.

I appreciate your prayers, but be mindful when you pray. Do not pray for me to be healed or anything like that, my life would be significantly worse if such a thing were to happen to me. Instead, pray for my condition to remain stable, as right now, I am living the absolute best life that I could live.

Sounds like you are handling things the best way, and the way that's best for you.

Thanks, I'm glad that some people understand. I think people put more stock into the "value" of eating than there is to put in.

My quality of life would be so much lower if I could eat. Not to mention the hassle of a post-surgery life. (Not that my doctors would let me get this risky surgery anyway, since you know I'm doing so well without it, it'd be kind of silly to jeopardize that.)

WHAT?!?????? WHY?! That's AMAZING buddy!!!! That could REALLY fix your insides and allow you to eat. You could just take it slow with your body, an nibble at a time! LOL!?????????

You can eat ice cream?!???? I always THOUGHT you couldn't buddy?? Also, does that mean that you ACTUALLY COULD develop the skill to chew food, EVEN if you couldn't digest it very will? Also, If they came up with technology to give people new stomachs, could you ACTUALLY get one implanted in you?!??????????

I can eat anything that does not require you to chew (I can't digest it though.). so any drinks/liquids or really smooth things like icecream or yogurt or whipped cream.

There is a transplant that I could get in order to eat, but I have no interest, and I'm doing so well that my doctors don't think it's worth the risk of the surgery. It's not a stomach issue, it's an intestinal issue. I have intestinal failure. That's not super important though, but felt it worth mentioning.

I could develop the skill to chew, but because I have a horrid gag reflex (basically anything with a certain texture causes me to throw up.) that sounds very miserable.

It's like, "yeah, you could develop a skill to do this not very interesting thing. All you have to do is suffer months if not years in physical therapy while you consistently gag and throw up miserably, but at the end you might be able to eat something that you will get no functional benefit from at all. How does that sound?!?!?" Miserable, it sounds miserable. Why would I want to actively go out of my way to go through months if not years of misery, just so that I could eat food, which would then make me feel like garbage because it wouldn't digest, and I probably wouldn't like the taste anyway?

Surprisingly, bondage doesn't bother me that much, you'd think it would though, but it DOESN'T. If anything, it's just annoying to me. LOL! And there's ONLY so much you can do with bondage anyway. I ACTUALLY find it pretty tame. LOL!???????

I think you might be mixing up your personal comfort level with morality. It's not immoral to say, enjoy or even post gay porn. There's objectively nothing wrong with it. You may personally feel uncomfortable with it, and that's okay, but that does not make it immoral or disgusting inherently.

i use to work as a bagger for winn dixie, from my experience the store dont really get much if anything back for sending back store brand that dont sell, so it gets wasted if its expirable, and there is probably some ego thing there, "im a company and my own shit sells better than you name branders hahaha", i figure if its just as good, save some cash and get the cheapy stuff.

    you dont eat?

We always buy store brands, saves so much money and there's often no difference from the name brand, a lot of the times they're made by the exact same people. Or the generic store brand just gets the "imperfect" bits that the store brand would otherwise throw out.

Yeah, I don't eat, I get central line I.Vs (TPN specifically) to substitute. The condensed version is that my digestive system doesn't work, I simply can't digest food. It's gotten a little better as I've got older, but I still don't digest nearly enough to survive. Also I never learned how to eat, since my family saw it as a useless skill to learn, since well, I can't digest and have a sensitive stomach. So, even if I wanted to start eating I'd have to do a bunch of physical therapy for something that honestly doesn't sound very appealing to me.

3 hours ago, Jesse The BabySpiderBoy said:

And to answer your other question, yes! @kasarberang can't eat. He was born without his stomach and has to get nutrition through IVs. All he can eat is soup and drink soda.????? He likes to watch his wife eat though, because it's the concept of eating that he has fun with. LOL!??????

Not technically true, I have a stomach, it just doesn't digest as well as everyone else's.

Also saying the only thing I can eat is soup and drink soda is also incorrect and implies that somehow I can digest those things specifically. But it's more like because those things are liquid and don't require chewing (a skill I never developed) I can get them down my throat without gagging/throwing up. I can also eat icecream for the same reason, but It's very rare that I'm in the mood for icecream.

So what's next?! Torture porn, limb dismemberment, a blood and gore bloodbath, snuff porn?! That's EXTREMELY fucked up!???????☺️??? LOL!???????? And there's PROBABLY whole OTHER list of stuff I CAN'T mention. LOL! Cuz Mikey PROBABLY wouldn't allow me to. But MORE or LESS you get my point. LOL!?????? The world's an pretty FUCKED UP place!!!!!!????

I think you made a pretty drastic leap. Gay porn is far from torture porn and limb dismemberment, or any of the other stuff you're implying. Though yes, those are some pretty horrendous things that the internet has to offer. But I think that they are leagues more extreme than what you describes which is just Gay Porn, which is fairly mild.

Maybe you see gay porn as significantly more extreme than it actually is. Most people would consider most BDSM or hell even AB/DL as significantly more "fucked up" than some guy giving another guy a blowjob. I obviously have no problem with BDSM, AB/DL or most kinks really. I say, so long as you don't involve anyone who does not want to be involved or cannot consent to being involved, you do you. I'm very kink-friendly.

  13. If you think that the stuff you've seen on Twitter is disturbing, you truly have not seen what absolutely horrendous things the internet has to offer. In my humble opinion, the things you describe are so mild they aren't even of note. I wouldn't even give them a second glance.

Hell, some of the things I'm personally into are SIGNIFICANTLY more degenerate/weird than the stuff you've described. However, this sort of thing is all very subjective.

Had to do a "get everything" grocery order as the house was bare, I swear $400 worth of groceries doesn't look like $400 worth of groceries anymore!

How often do you go grocery shopping, does your food go bad often? My wife and I go shopping about once a week, usually a week of groceries is about $50, sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more. We find if we buy for more than a week's worth of food, a lot of it ends up going bad. Since we started doing this we have saved trips to the store and also money.

Keep in mind this is basically groceries for 1 as I don't eat. So the pricing per-month actually is around what you're paying for 2 people, assuming it's a month's worth of groceries that you bought.

So you're telling me that they LEGITIMATELY make rotary phones that WORK, or are they just replicas like for decoration?! If it's the latter, my brother would ABSOLUTELY LOVE it!???♥️?????? LOL!???????☺️

What did you change the title? LOL!??????????♥️????

They are phones that use the new standard in order to function, but maintain the old aesthetic, so they are functional replicas.

That's VERY interesting! LOL! I DON'T EVEN think they make rotary phones anymore, much less home phones. I'm NOT EVEN sure you can find one, then again I haven't looked.???

The last house phones I remember that we had were when I was 13 years old, back in 2008. They were these black ones. That were big and had big white buttons on them. I LOVED the noise they made when you pressed the buttons. LOL!???? it was kind of nostalgic. One thing I don't miss though, is VCRs. Although we DIDN'T use them very much. But we did ALWAYS go down to the video store and rent a batch of them for a couple of days on a Friday night. I think they EVEN would give us a discount because we went there so much, but that was like, back in the late 90's. I barely remember it.??????☺️??♥️?

They do still make home phones and Rotary phones are also still made, though the rotary phones on the market now are just functional replicas, but that's fine I want one anyway.

It's actually still highly recommended having a home phone for emergency purposes. Home phones are bound to your exact house, and it makes it easy for emergency services to track the call to your location, instead of just your general area. So it's recommended to have one in case of emergency.

It's ACTUALLY REALLY funny that you mentioned that buddy, because I use my phone ALL the time when I'm on the internet, DOESN'T matter where. LOL! How do you think I make so many posts on DD everyday? How do you think I won 72 days on DD for the past two years? LOL! The point is I use my phone an LOT. I do find it interesting though that a lot of YouTube traffic comes from phones, but now that I think about it, it actually makes a lot of sense given the context of the situation usually. I DON'T know WHY I didn't think of that before. LOL!???????? As for me, it's easy for me to type on my phone, given the fact that I LITERALLY have the hands of an 11 year old little boy!???????? I'm NOT EVEN joking about that! LOL! But usually I use mine voice dictation on my phone to type long sentences and do pretty much everything. Although it messes up like 60% of the time. LOL! But then I'll proofread and go back and fix my mistakes. like I said, I'm an Grammar Nazi. Unfortunately!?????

That's interesting. I think most people use their phone a lot now adays. I am not one of them, lol. I don't even bring my phone with me when I go out. If it were up to me we'd have a home phone and that's it, and not just any home phone, I want a rotary home phone! I like that aesthetic. My wife uses her phone enough to justify us having regular phones though, and it's nice to be able to check messages and emails when I wake up, but aside from when I first wake up or when we go out to like a doctors appointment or somewhere far away, I don't use my phone at all.
