Kyle stopped and nodded “yes you are and don’t you forget it little boy” he held out his hand “do you need me to take you to the potty”

“Come on munchkin just say what I want to hear and I’ll stop, just say the magic words for me”

Kyle chuckled and used both hands to double his assault “oh I think I have a ticklish little boy on my hands, whose my ticklish little boy, whose my ticklish little boy” he teased and stroked the smooth tiny soles in his grip

Kyle shrugged “I plan to keep you barefoot most of the time anyway so you’ll really only be wearing shoes to get from place to place from now on then we’ll free the little piggies” he reached out and gave the sole of Max’s foot a tickle

Kyle shook his head “those are for any ones whose tiny feet they fit and you’ll ether wear those or go barefoot your choice little one”

Kyle nodded slowly “mmmm” he agreed half heartedly then smiled “I saved the best for last he pulled out 2 pair of shoes one was a pair of Spider-Man crocs was a pat of sponge Bob themed slides “they’re a size too big but it should be fine and this way you won’t have to wear socks anymore”

Kyle crooked his head and stared at the boy “well he out grew these and I believe they’ll fit you perfectly so I guess that means he’s a big boy and you’re not and what’s so dumb except”

Kyle nodded making piles on the bed “he’s a big boy, he just turned 7” all of the clothes were bright colored reds, electric blues lime greens and neon yellows. Most were tee shirts short sets with cartoon themes “these will look so good on you kiddo”

Kyle nodded “that’s a good boy” he hoisted the bag onto Max’s bed “let’s look though and see what we have, I bet there’s some great stuff”

Kyle took on a serious expression “now munchkin please remember that I’m the one who has to do the laundry and I’m not doing every 2 days anyway I’ve already decided that you’ll just wear these great new clothes there’s like a whole wardrobe here” he pointed to the bag “and if I’ve already decided something as the head of our little family then what’s your job again exactly?”

Kyle looked at the boy “no no you’re not buddy now most of these things are brand new because my brother had a growth spurt so you’ll wear them”

Kyle looked worried “I only see like 2 pairs of pants and” he pointed “that underwear is all holey” he smiled and snapped his fingers “stay right there” he ran from the room returning 5 minutes later with a huge trash bag “there are my brothers things, I was supposed to donate them but I forgot and it’s a good thing. I get they’ll fit you perfectly”

Kyle went to the hallway and carried his things inside making neat and organized piles for him to sort though . He looked at Macs things thrown haphazardly around “is that everything you brought buddy, it doesn’t look like very much where are all of you’re clothes?”

Kyle nodded and smiled “well, we’ll see 8:30 is a possibility but you would have to be on perfect behavior for the rest of the day” he looked around can you do me a favor and sit tight while a get my stuff from the hall way”

“Bedtime” Kyle stated “ your mom mentioned that you stayed up way too late and disobeyed the bedtime rules well that’s not with me. So starting out bedtime will be 8:30 but that’s totally based on your behavior if you’re really good you can ear extra time. If you’re not doing what you should or acting up you’ll loss time for instance that tone you’ve been using would cost you 10 minutes. Oh and it will. Be fine to change into Jammie’s right when we get back from Dinner”

Kyle smiled “I said big brothers not younger brothers now let’s see your mommy mentioned that she worries about your technology usage so I’ll be holding on to your phone and all other screen time will go through me. She also mentioned that you don’t eat enough so I’ll me monitoring what you eat and how much.

Kyle nodded, he reached out and stroked the boys hair “I did, I just needed to know a couple of things and I wanted to introduce myself, I can tell that she worries about you and she said that she’s so busy taking care of your big brothers that she couldn’t always take care of you the way you need but you don’t need to worry you’re my only little boy and my top priority”

Kyle smiled “thank you mam, will do and have a good night” he hung up and looked at Max “you’re mom is so nice kiddo and very helpful now back to those rules”

Kyle nodded “of course, I think I can take care of that. What was Max’s schedule like at home did he have a bedtime on school nights?”

Kyle nodded “sit on your bottom please buddy” he hit dial and waited for an answer. He smiled as a voice on the other end picked up “um hi Mrs. Hayes hi this is Kyle I’m rooming with your little boy haha well I guess he’s my little boy now anyway yah, I’m Max’s roommate and I just wanted to let you know I’m taking care of your boy but I was hoping you might give me some insight into How you ran things at home like rules and other things” he smiled as Max’s mom picked up the conversation

Kyle nodded “thanks buddy” he scrolled threw the phone until he found what he was looking for, before hitting call he paused “ah buddy, I forgot to ask, what your last name?”

Kyle smiled “that’s a good boy, thank you buddy now what’s your code little guy”

Kyle shook his hand “sweetheart I. Guessing you know I can take it if I have to so please just be a good boy and hand it to me”

Kyle crooked an eye at the little boy and held out his hand “could I have your phone please”

Kyle chuckled “honey that’s 2 rules, I think we might need more than 2 rules don’t you” he stood “can you tell me about your schedule at home, like what’s your usual bedtime”
