  1. And here i was living underneath the staszi, just kidding.

Seems like you guys had parent(s) that were at least accepting if not supportive of your whole self, color me envious.

Frogboy sounds like you are well on the way to raising wonderful human beings, i relish the opportunity to do the same.

  2. Damn, this thread really but some legs on itself.

Seeing all your guys posts makes me appreciate my position more so, and makes me want to use it in a manner that is beneficial in a manner that advances us forward.

That being said, apathy, disinterest, and just overall "disconnecting" from it all helps no one, specifically ourselves. I used to have this frame of mind about the world, it is more taxing than looking for the positive and down right i drove people (some that I loved dearly) out of my life because of it. I get it, its complex, dangerous, and down right terrifying to actualize the world we live in ones' minds eye so to speak. Chose not to fear it though, fear is choice that one makes for their self. Instead chose to recognize and respect the danger, but be aware that you can "own" it so to speak. Let it become something that drives you to start making all those little changes in your life that you need to make, let it make you into something stronger than you currently are. We can wallow away in apathy and self pity all we want, but it does not change the situation and serves to weaken resolve;in fact, it reduces our timeline to react to these changes and current situations. Its a big, scary world out there, become bigger and scarier than it.

  3. Yeah therapy rarely goes well it comes to these things, i find it next to impossible to be open about this in that kind of environment. Especially when you think about how little academic material there is on us, always felt like a case study, very off putting.

  4. Yeah unfortunately you are correct in assuming that nothing will likely come about from this. It is still nice to see that there a some people in the political bodies that care nothing for political white washing and just want the facts as they stood at the time of decision being made to be avaliable to the general population. Gives me hope.

  5. You should find a friend who works out regularly as it helps you both push each other to do more than what you would on your own.

As others of have said, the diet portion of it is a big deal. Avoid empty calories from carbs and sugars. Proteins fats and fiber, if you have to indulge that sweet i find chocolate milk a handful of mixed fruits or a nice self prepared smoothy to be excellent. If you eat out a lot start trying to prepare youre meals, not only is it fun but you get to enjoy your tasty efforts at the end.

Definantely look into lifting, dont let your baseline output discourage when you first start as you will start to make leaps and bounds in your performance if you stick with it for more that two months. If you have to use a facility for a gym membership to do weight training dont let the other people discourage you, maybe even try talking with someone who looks like they know what theyre doing. Usually theyll be super happy to help.

  6. I think there needs to be public recognition that it is impossible to stop someone with an out right will to do harm to others. That being said the measures taken to mitigate individual instances need to come under harsh scrutinity, like how is no fly no buy not a thing, more stringent purchasing proc esses that do not restrict ease of access to those who wish to own something in a lawful/responsible manner, and closing up straw purchase loop holes at gun shows.

I love my firearms, but the ease access to those with malicious intent aginst others through just the lawful channels of purchasing is scary. Thats not even getting into illicit sales.

I am showing my age here, my favorite toy was a little hot plate for molds that you filled with molten lead and quite literally you could make your own Army,

However like all things it was pulled off the market due to legal cases involving lead poisoning.

  8. So what are your favorite toys from childhood or even currently?

I remember i was super huge into dinosaurs before jurassic park but when it came i went nuts over the velicoraptor figures. Micromachines were pretty cool, had a lot legos that i loved. Oh and relastic army action figures (NOT GI JOES).
