Sadly I wasn't allowed to go trick or treating because my parents believed it was un-Christian.

I feel your pain with this, having never been allowed to go trick-or-treating myself for similar reasons.

Thing is, I absolutely adore Halloween. and am hoping I can put the decorations up this year (as I could not last year for somewhat obvious reasons).

It's so very wholesome to dress up and hand out candy, my neighbours love that we make the effort as well, as not many here seem to.

  2. I don't drink often, but when I do, it's either ~

    • a quality scotch (either blend or single malt depending on who makes it, minimum 12 years by age) or;
    • a Japanese whisky from a semi-decent brand such as Nikka.
  3. Before I lost my sense of taste and smell, it was 100% my home-made soups with cornbread. Now they're just thick water...

I make a nice burrito though, the texture of that is superb!

And we cannot forget, the classic Sunday dinner, roasties, yorkies and all the trimmings ❤️

Is it possible to just want a companion, regardless of what their gentials look like? Is it possible to just want someone? Anyone that you have things in common with , who wants to build something other than on a sexual basis?

Gender blindness is absolutely a thing, as is sexual fluidity and they're both heckin' valid.

To relate, I was very much bisexual leaning on pansexual when I met my current partner. I am very much Asexual now with more of a lean to females.

  5. Farley's Rusks are a British staple and the best treat in the world, adult or little ❤️

Way back when I was in University, I had some in my bag and semi-covertly took one out to snack on in the classroom because I was hungry.

I was asked by the person sitting behind me if they were Rusks, to which I very gingerly replied that they were.

Within 5 minutes, the box had been passed around the room and was more-or-less empty xD

  6. At least the US can get groceries :P

The UK government royally effed up the supply chain and my diddly-little itty-bitty town has had very little to no groceries for the past 10 days >.<

Fortunately, we stocked up with a lot of long-shelf-life food after the last time the shops completely ran out of groceries here!

I do miss my night-time baba though >.<

  7. I was (and to some extent still am) infatuated by the Japanese Super Sentai series 特捜戦隊デカレンジャー (Tokusō Sentai Dekarenjā).

The main antagonist of this series is レイン星人エージェント・アブレラ (Rein Seijin Ējento Aburera).

    アブレラ > Aburella/Aburera > Abrera.

  8. UK unscented Huggies wipes are great for (literally) everything because they are strong, but can be ripped in to several pieces to save on wipes.

Plus they come in boxes of 18, so we always have spares (there is a pack in quite literally every room of the house as well as our bags).

The only downside is that they recently changed how they open. The new sideways seal is not as good as the previous front facing one, or the clasp that US Huggies have.

  9. I'm not a big fan of Switch Online ~ the fact it was free kinda rubs me the wrong way xD

That being said, I've completed every region bar Johto and Sinnoh many many many times :D

I also love the Shield Pokedex for Indeedee female ~

They diligently serve people and Pokémon so they can gather feelings of gratitude. The females are particularly good at babysitting.

you're the mom friend, which is great because everyone needs one. speaking of, can you come over this weekend? in all seriousness, though, don't be afraid to have your own fun sometimes, too.

The one thing I would be most concerned of is whether someone will be taking pictures of people in their baby outfits and diapers and having them end up on the internet.  Even if some events have a "No Photographs" policy, everyone who has a cell phone has a camera in their hand!  There are also micro cameras in many shapes and forms that can take a photo without anyone realizing it.  For many people, that would not only be intrusive on their life but could be very detrimental if family, friends and coworkers should see them.

Living in a country that is touted as one of the most surveiled in the world, this really hits home.

It's not just people with cameras, cell phones or hidden recording devices ~ it's the CCTV ~ and how long the owners keep that footage.

I know full well where these events happen in this country, and I known darn well, no matter how careful any event is over photography, there will be a recorded image somewhere of this.

Privacy is a double-edged sword, but one I try so dearly to cling to.
