  1. It would appear that both XP Medical is gone (Bought from Gary by Liveanew?) But the big news is that the manufacturer of A+ briefs has discontinued the line. The closest product that I can find is the ID Slip Maxi PE...

  2. Not the same as dry 24/7, at least not the current dry24/7 that I'm getting in the USA. Dry 24/7 lost the peach color, lost the front elastic (Real boo!) but the Dry 24/7's that I have currently are a BIT more thick than the Mega Carelines. The Mega Carelines do have better stand up guards (the interior flappy things) and they are pink in size large as opposed to Dry 24/7's white... So they are different. Someone asked if they're cloth/plastic backed, they're both plastic and both non-krinkly...

    Hope that helps!

  3. Attends can't soak up what most paper towels can, so I use a Luvs6 or a Pampers7 as a stuffer. Then I get the soft Attends outer (with reasonable tapes at the moment, the last generation used to stick a tick better) - with baby diaper absorbency (why are most readily available adult diapers lacking?) So I ordered up a sample, thinking that I might be getting something new, only to find that when it arrived, it's the same brief that I've been getting from XP for awhile now. Also, P&G, the huge company that they are, only sent one brief?!?! When I got samples from Bambino way back when I at least got two, what if one had some kind of defect? Took about two weeks to get... Unimpressed...

  4. Gang,

    Just to let you all know I have a brand new from the factory Secure X-Plus and a Bambino Bianco (both in size large). They **are not** the same. The Bambino is significantly thicker, and while they both have waistbands, the bambino seems wider, (and there's a blue something in the elastic). They both have the same full tape landing zone (gone is the split tape landing zone with the earlier Secure X-Plus) with the obvious difference of the prints between the two. The tapes are the same, and they both have the same inner leg cuffs. but the Secure X-Plus has a blue inner liner. Also, the Secure X-Plus has a "wetness indicator" which at this moment is three lines of dots. The Secure X-Plus appears to have a different outer plastic with slight "dimpling" as opposed to the "smoother" plastic of the Bambino. Since they're apparently made by the same company (wonder why they go to these lengths to keep up the illusion that they're two different companies?) I wonder why there are so many differences? I'll try to post pics soon...

    (I plan on ordering a case of Secure X-Plus in size large and a case of Bambino Bianco's soon so I'll have a supply for a bit, wish I done that before the MegaCareLine's went away...)

  5. Well,

    As a an update, I placed an order today after receiving notice that the plus briefs are back in stock, mid-day I received this e-mail from SecurePersonalCare;

    "Thank you for your order. Before we ship your order out, we just wanted to

    notify you of few changes we made with our Plus briefs. First the frontal

    panel has our new design of horizontal blocks and pairs of green hearts.

    Second our bags are in plain white bags instead of printed ones we had

    previously. Please let us know if you still wish to receive your order. We

    will look forward to your reply."

    I ordered 2 bags of the large in the Secure Plus and a sample pack of the large in the X-Plus so I'll see about posting a pic of the product once I receive them...

    Thanks everyone for your posts!

  6. I've used Attends for years, LOVE that soft plastic! BUT, they couldn't absorb their way out of a 12oz Pepsi... I slip in a Luvs size 6, VERY cost effective, and I now have my perfect everyday diaper... The Attends fit nicely, the Luvs absorb almost everything I need them to... I'm not fond of the Bambinos, Molicares are nice and thick and absorb well, but don't fit exactly as snug as the Attends so they sometimes leak, and Abenas are nice and thick but don't fit anywhere near as well so they leak more than the Attends, so...

    Attends 10 from XP, and Luvs size 6 as stuffer, that's my most favorite diaper!

  7. I order cases of Abena Super regularly, and lately, the tapes aren't nearly as good as they were, but it might be a bad batch. It seems like every single bottom tape pops, where they used to stick so tight they'd tear the plastic before popping.

    I've noticed that too, and thought also that it might just be a bad bag, got a bag of Attends once that the middle tape on the righthand side was folded over onto itself (and therefore unuseable) but it was just that bag. Next order, all good!

    "A Way To Deal With Crappy Tapes"

    I'm surprised no one didn't reply "stop crapping on the tapes"! :D

  8. Hi tmdiapered you said that your favorit diaper is back. Does that mean they are using the old plastic not the new crap?

    Yes, that IS CORRECT, sorry I should have made that more clear. The two packages of Secure Plus size large came with the nice, soft plastic that I used to remember. I ordered from SecurePersonalCare. I'm about ready to order some Secure Plus size large as well as the X-Plus and see if the thicker ones coming from them also come with the soft plastic. That would be nirvana! I've only tried the X-Plus once and got a "thicker" plastic....

    I'll let you know when I get my order next week....

  9. OMG I just found these at a store in Atlanta! I got me 10 of them - just had to. They are soooo pamper like - I just do not like the peach stripe. The plastic backing is soooo noisy! I'm in love here... absolutely delighted. Only disappointment is the lack of the re taping strip acriss the front but nothing a lil packing tape wont fix.

    Where'd you find these in Atlanta? What was the name of the store? (if you don't mind sharing) And roughly where is the store? What other brands did they sell??

    Thanks!

  10. I got this response after a quick e-mail to 'em;

    I don’t have a scientific answer to the liquid question….just a real life based one! The diaper holds 3 rounds of an adult male when he tinkles! This diaper is not made up of liqui-gel. It reacts completely like an actual baby diaper where it expands when moisture is introduced to it.

    The sizing on the net is actually wrong, we have medium and large. They fit as follows:

    Medium (listed as large) fits hip sizes 32
