I am just going to throw this out here and say something seems really "off" about this, and I mean on her side, rather then yours. It sounds like she has some baggage she is bringing into the relationship and you should do your best to not get dragged into it as it can bring you down as well.

You can still get Dr. P here... but.. they really are "not that great."

You can easily buy diapers in most large supermarkets in China, including Shenzhen... I tend to buy mine at carrefour...

Shame - both are offline now

yea, not hard to find at all. Most pharmacies sell em, as do super markets. Some department stores will sell them as well.

I saw in ebay disposable diapers made in China. Somebody who knows them or have experiences with them?
Becareful with Chinese disposables. Last year while I was working in Beijing I bought a bag of Chinese disposables. As soon as I put them on I got a bad rash, 30 mins later I took it off and put on a Depend I brought with me from Canada. Rash went away within 20 mins. About a month later the brand was removed from store shelves. After that I stuck to Dr.P diapers. They were pretty good.
Stephanie - you didn't come across any of the Japanese brands in any of the department stores? Those are pretty good. Dr P is not bad though and I think its one of the most popular.

Dr P is available in caraffore as well as the some "jingkelong" supermarkets. There is also "elderjoy" and a few other brands around as well. Basically the easiest way to find these is to poke your head into any major supermarket or grocery store... Some larger Chinese pharnacies have them as well. And if you go to the Japanese deparment store chain (ikoyako - something or another) they sometimes have Japanese brands as well....
Not sure if these are Chinese or not (I won't pretend I know the difference)! Here is one of them....
And YES.....DLs want absorbant diapers just like anyone else does!

I live in Beijing, and I always buy my diapers at carrafore here... They have a decent selection though all are local brands.
Non-Western AB/DLs?

There is a community in China, though its not huge.... but it does exist. You need to be a Chinese speaker though to navigate that world.
